Is quantity the important thing in life? Or is it quality? Is it different for different people at different times, under certain circumstances? Expressing yourself honestly, never lying to yourself or the audience. Always being yourself. Getting your character or quirkiness to carry over into the video, in the simpliest, quickest, or in the most authentic form. That will garner a modest but fruitful community i should hope. Show yourself and know yourself because you are a positive, interesting lady. Your doing a good job but there is always room for more learning. Aslong as the journey or experience continues to be a fulfilling, satisfying one, dont worry. Just do as you would anyways. GL my friend!!!
I'm pinning this comment because I think it would be helpful for other people to read and very insightful too. Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate the support, Seb. I'll keep on learning for sure 👍
@@janieisbored I wish i was brave enough to film myself and talk. Maybe one day! So always give yourself a pat on the back when you've achieved an upload. I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoy your vid and the camera shots and subject material. Keep showing that courage and realness Janie. Big respect and acknowledgement to you my buddy from the UK and enjoy your weekend!!
So glad that you mentioned the idea of EXPERIMENTING. Everyone loves to act like you gotta do one type of video topic. Just wish there was more support for smaller creators. You’re so real for this. And good on you for actually filming for a whole year! Hope things start to pay off for you.
Cool video, good concept, and good information. I know I won't stick around, but I wanted to comment and watch all the way through to do what I can. Hope you make it.
I have been on RUclips for about a year and a half. I’m in a completely different niche than you but I set the goal for myself. I experimented with a thousand things but I knew I wanted to do something with laughter. I totally get the “analytics golem” thing you were talking about; I was like that in the beginning and I guess I am still somewhat like that. I was uploading 2-3 times per week until I got really sick and after that decided to focus on quality rather than quantity (I can see you have too). After doing that I experienced exponential growth. Also, I did have the rare occurrence of a video blowing up years ago but I’m sure that audience is completely gone. But I set a goal to reach 1K subs by the end of one years time and literally right before the day I was going to quit I reached that goal. I hope you continue to upload and grow your experience. This was very helpful advice and I appreciate you. Thank you for showing up on my recommended. Also, sorry for the long comment.
I'm glad you found what you like to do and congrats on reaching 1000 subs, kudos to you! I'm glad the video was helpful. Thanks for the support, I appreciate you leaving a long comment lol
My biggest bump in the road was losing 50 subscribers. I was losing my shit lol. I deleted the studio app off my phone. It helped a lot To be fair, a lot came from when I was experimenting with video essays. But through that, I found your channel, and I’m so glad that I did.
Yeah losing 50 would effect me too ngl. I’m probably going to delete the app soon too, I don’t think I benefit from having it tbh. Thank you! I’m glad I found your channel too, I remember watching your “niche this” video and thinking, how did you come up with this? haha

I agree, I don't think enough people experiment. I wanted to be honest about what youtube is like for smaller creators. Thanks for the support! 👍
