I just realized that a 40mm grenade launcher is the closest thing I'll ever have to being a D&D character. Instead of "Frag out!", it's "I cast fireball!"
Or load a flechette shell and call "Meteor Swarm!" 40x46mm is usually only throwing a half-pound projectile, but it is (in shotgun and cannon parlance) a "two pounder," so . . . .
There have been so many grenade launchers produced. I used 3; M79, M203, and the multi xhamber M32. All were easy to use and care for, but simplicity and most accurate for me was the M79. Not ackward to load aim and shoot. Aiming the M203 is a little ackward, and the M32 is heavy with all chambers loaded. Give me the M79.

Wait, is that an under-barrel grenade launcher that's mounted on picatinny rails? Not no proprietary mounts available only on Beretta ARX160 rifles? No way! Blasphemy!
It is similar if not identical to the grenade launcher issued on the Beretta ARX, so...yes? It's tough since the Italians aren't exactly getting stuck in many places and I'm not sure what Beretta's sales are like.
While this GLX160 and the PSA Thumper are nifty ideas - I see them more as a novelty. Similar to a replica RPG that is merely for show and nothing else. Without ordinance to support these products, they are essentially useless. Just to be clear, I am _NOT_ against these types of products. However, as a Pragmatist, I see no viable usage for such an item. Stay classy my friends.
You know that while 40 mm is restricted, the 37 mm versions of all the various grenade launchers are completely legal and unrestricted *because no lethal 37 mm rounds are factory-manufactured,* so they aren't even all that expensive? I have not priced them in about three decades, but the 37 mm version of the M-203 used to sell for about $200 all day long *by mail-order.*
It's probably heavily overpriced like everything else that's not a shotgun from Beretta they should really stick to shotguns I don't want to say they're kind of suck at everything else they do but it is what it is stay away from everything that's not a shotgun Beretta please cuz everything else you make is overpriced and at least in my experience poor quality excellent customer service though but I have a hard time buying anything made by Beretta that's not a shotgun with them constantly having parts that break on it now they do replace it cuz the customer service is great but clearly the quality control isn't there unless it's a shotgun

Says who? 40 mm is restricted because only boom-boom rounds get made. 37 mm version doesn't even fall under NFA, because factory loads are exclusively non-lethal: smoke, tear gas, bean-bag. Due to the very low firing pressure, the casings are pretty much infinitely reloadable. Normally you cast practice projectiles out of Plaster of Paris, and apply a driving band made from copper wire.
