Probably one of the best drop that has ever been done on wave 1. The wave is solid, the attitude is so casual yet is going at full speed. So amazing! Definitely GOAT
As a non surfer this just looks like a dude surfing. I have been trying to watch to distinguish other great surfers from Kelly Slater and I don’t get it yet.
A combination of athletic power and unmitigated joy emanates from Slater's style. A joy to behold.

Also can somebody re-release this video on a twenty minute Loop? Keep having to rewind it and it's a pain in the ass. This is the most cultivated and stylish surfing I've ever seen. Absolutely beautiful, it's pure art

The only way to be this good at anything is to make whatever it is your number one priority above everything and anything else until it becomes what you do and who you are. This is something most people never get to do with their lives but it’s fun to watch the ones who have. 👍

Kelly Slater doing things at his age only he can do, sure there are tons of guys his age that are still surfing but not with the same spark has this 11 time world champ has, Kelly Slater will be talked about long after he’s gone, all I can say is God bless him and I hope the young kids in this world that surf will be blessed like a lot of us were to see him surf from the very beginning so the grooms of today will be able to watch him surf till the very end, KS is a class act in and out of the water, Kelly thanks for surfing it’s been enjoyable for me to watch you surf all these years long live Kelly Slater

@@alexandersushko6211 I was in Australia from 89-93, unfortunately yes some idiot burnt down our burger bar, maybe 3 or 4 years back. Piha is a cool place to surf as there are many nationalities passing through, interesting to talk to and no or little localism What is your location?
No worries...... Living in Northern California presently, surfed & lived in many spots from Santa Cruz to San Francisco to Bodega Bay, but prefer warmer climate like Mexico. The wave at 1:45, phenomenal flowing style. Des he really need to be compelled to do the jumping around air maneuvers at competitions to try and get points, when it isn't really his style and detracts from the beauty of his awesome abilities.
