In the code, it describes the car as "The perfect car to get away from a crime scene", and the filename for the car is called "Killer Car", which to me further supplements the idea that we are indeed playing as William Afton and Midnight Motorist takes place the night Charlie died.
I have NEVER heard of the the cars description as "the perfect car to get away from a crime scene". I can believe the car being named killercar but why would such a specific line be in the code describing the vehicle. First time I'm hearing of this, and I'm just generally pretty skeptical till I see proof

the habit of fnaf fans to question and deny the most straightforward simple solution to the lore and instead try to dig in for more complicated explanation will always fascinate me lol
@@dinjarind oh fr, that's exactly one of my issue with fnaf theories in general ppl question an aspect of the lore -> scott release ambiguous explanation that raise more question than answer -> ppl question said explaination its a never ending cycle lol, thats why i take most lore theory with a grain of salt and believe what i like to believe and the most logical ones lol 😆
they have a tendency to obsess over insignificant details that don't really matter. I remember when people argued about which FNAF 2 animatronic did the bite of 87, like it changes anything. Just the minigame being called "later that night" and the car being purple should have been enough.
I think it's because there's this concept of "if it's too easy for us to figure out, then it's not right". FNaF fans have had to dig for small "clues" for a long time (see: Scott's website code) so they probably think they HAVE to go around doing that for everything else
Maybe the reason William is mustard color in the minigame is because he’s only purple for children as, "What is seen in shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child." Henry made the Midnight Motorist game and programmed the way William looks, as the color of Springtrap.
The colors also might reference the business man in the FNAF Pizzeria Simulator cutscenes, the same guy wears both orange and purple suits (he even holds a phone in one of the images like purple guy was thought to hold a phone).
To me the yellow either implies that either this is william before he completely lost himself (purple color representing him being exactly when he went full psycho/mad scientist) or that he was just drunk, or both (before he lost himself and started murdering kids left and right, and while he was drunk) And its also maybe the exact same day/night when Charlie was murdered. He got drunk and did the unthinkable then went recklessly driving until he got home. Maybe once he got sober after doing that is when we could assume that he 'became purple' basically (once he realised what he had done).
@@vaultassassin i doubt because if so, scott would definitely give more detail to him such as at least giving him rabbit ears. I dont remember which but either spring bonnie or bonnie were created because of nightmares scott had, and im sure if he was to make such detail clear, he would make it more apparent. And another major reason as why it cant be the case, is that its heavily raining in midnight motorist. Everyone knows and remembers what happened to William when some water droplets made their way into the suit. Now imagine walking in that deadly trap of a suit in a storm.
@@Raviness. It's likely the cloth version of the suit similar to Help Wanted. This would put the events after the multiple springlock failures and possibly the Bite of 83, since those costumes would be out of commission. So the sequence of events is, Afton leaves work but doesn't change so he isn't recognized. Kills Charlie, drives away, and removes his mask so he can see clearly enough to get home.
I say he's yellow, because scott used purple for characters in shadows. We're playing as afton, so his body wouldnt be hidden, thus no purple. Scott had to use another color for him, and picked springbonnie yellow. Edit:Look, Why he choose Yellow over Purple Im not sure. Also not quite sure why Mike is purple, could have been a nice thematic thing scott wanted to do. I could senslessly argue further as to why Im right (already did that...) or I can admit I have no concrete reasons to why.
@@rachelparker335 You're only illuminated by headlights when the engine is going and standing in front of the car. That's not the case here. I don't see any Street lights either, especially when the Man is walking behind the house to see the broken window.
5:36 The proper term for what Circus Baby's shoes are jester or bell slippers! They're usually just fabric, leather, and lacing with a bell on the end, historically and since she's a jester inspired character that lines up with her design, even if the shoes themselves look a lil wonky! (Calling them shoes is fine, they are, I just happen to be fascinated with clowns, mimes, and jesters and she's a prime outlet for that! 10000/10 video, as always!)
I think he was more just confused between calling them footwear or feet. Since she isn't actually wearing shoes, her "jester slippers" _are_ her feet, not something over her feet.
Personally I think all 3 of pizzeria simulators major mini games were meant to show the origins for important characters. One being the puppets origin, another being for Springtrap (since we know Susie was the first MCI kid), so I think midnight motorist is maybe trying to give an origin for Michael? My best guess is maybe this is the moment he decides to investigate the Fazbear restaurants
For midnight motorist I think it’s supposed to show how William treated his last remaining son. Because if not, we have no real view on how the Afton family was post bite/pre scoop. Honestly I think that’s a pretty integral thing to show, and helps builds William’s character in the games.
"Another being of Springtrap"? What? How tf is Fruity Maze about Springtrap? You literally said yourself it's about Susie. Springtrap isn't even there, just Purple Guy in the Yellow Rabbit suit, him becoming Springtrap was shown in FNAF 3.
@@HeyLoiss it’s just quick and simple wording that everyone can understand. This is the origin of him using the spring Bonnie suit for murder is what I mean.
I definitely agree with this being an origin story for Michael. He's the one we play in the FNAF 4 Nights, the house in the FNAF 4 menu screen is the one we see in MM, the trailer has "What have you brought home?" as ome of its taglines(?), and Nightmare Fredbear/Nightmare are the ultimate threat of the game.
Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one. The FNAF fandom has a big problem with overthinking small details, or refusing to accept the obvious answer simply because they don't like it.
Idk why people thought midnight motorist wasnt about the aftons. Pizzaria sim was rapping up the story. So why introduce a brand new family we've never seen before??? Not just that but theres more supporting evidence that the minigame was about afton
Because the Missing Children have existed for FAR longer than the Afton family. The fact that the families of the Missing Kids were affected by the 5MCI is something that the franchise has stated all the way back in TSE (again, before the Afton family was even properly introduced). And given that FFPS is a game almost entirely about Henry's efforts to put the 5 Missing Children and the other victims, aka (Molten Freddy and the other robots) to rest, the idea that MM was about one of the kids, f.e. Gabriel, wasn't at all far-fetched. In fact, MM is one of the three minigames required to unlock the Lorekeeper ending, which shows us the graves of the 5 Missing Children and Charlotte, NO Afton family members
@@HeyLoiss yes, but the evidence around midnight motorist favors it being about Afton. From the game file being labeled "later that night" to the same purple car being seen after Charlotte Emily died. To the guy driving it being an orange or yellow sprite. Pizza simulator wasn't just about giving the dead victims rest. But was also about finally concluding the Afton story. So it wouldn't make sense to introduce a brand new family by using the same colors associated with Afton. On top of that, we've never been given any in game evidence that Afton used his suit outside the pizzeria. So the Freddy footprints outside the window were likely the crying child telling Michael it's him. And beaconing him to his grave. I like the theory that it isn't Afton. It's just that there isn't enough supporting evidence that theory is correct
@@_.incredible_magnum._291 Maybe the minigame is called "later that night" because it's a continuation of "Midnight Motorist" It's later on the night that Midnight Motorist takes place because those are the two minigames that are connected. Also, if you believe that Toy Chica's High School Years are about Afton, then one of the stories lines up pretty well with Midnight Motorist. Chica talks about going to someone's house and breaking in, listing the window as an option. After UCN especially, it made sense to me that it was Afton luring away one of the MCI kids
@fourstrings4164 there's more evidence supporting that this was about Afton. Fuhnaff noted that in the "later that night" section, it's raining. It is in fact the exact same graphic as the puppet mini game. So the two are connected. Then there's the fact that the car is purple and the sprite is a orangeish color maybe some kind if dirty gold. The colors of Afton. The chica stories aren't gonna be a 1:1. They're more like parables for what actually happened. Ask yourself this, how did Afton kidnap a child from their home in the rain.... IN A SPRINGLOCK SUIT ?!
I guess the explanation for the house change is that the Afton’s moved house after the death of the crying child. William kept the previous house to create a place to store the funtime animatronics and do his experiments.
@@titoglazer this all really depends on how long the CC was in a coma and if William got his body back. I personally the FNAF 4 box is where William put CC remains and buried him in that forest once they moved.
Imagine Scott was just like "hmm, i'll add a funny little minigame where ohh some guys kid gets lured by an animatronic!" and it accidentally becomes one of the most debated parts of the lore
There’s a lot of things I think are like that, like the Springlock suit in sister location. People debate what suit it is and that it must be important. They also say because Scott didn’t say what suit it was in the first Dawko interview that confirms that it must be important. I think Scott thought “wouldn’t it be cool to have a gameplay section where you’re trapped in a springlock suit and have to stop the springlocks from going off” So he put it in the game and the reason he doesn’t answer who the suit is, is because there isn’t an answer; he didn’t put any thought into which suit it would be. People always say “Scott doesn’t do meaningless Easter eggs” but Scott has never claimed that. That’s something that MatPat just said in one of his videos to validate a piece of evidence he used.
@@jk844100I agree with this so hard. Sometimes, things were probably added just because they’d make for a cool/scarier horror game experience, not necessarily as lore hints with deep meaning or logical answers
@@jk844100 Scott said "I guess people thought I filled the game with random easter eggs, I didn't" in response to people not solving FNAF 4. With hindsight it's probably talking about stuff like the FNAF 1 and 2 callbacks or the Phone Guy audio that was supposed to tell people who we were playing as.
maybe next time don't make a lore with convoluted hints which turn out to have little subtlety confusing fans this is what happens when you make a minigame which you can interpret in 100s of various ways yet expecting someone to find a singular correct answer
@@lonerriteYeah, we can't ever forget that all of this overthinking is only possible because the source material has to be one of the most slipshod and purposefully hard to understand narratives of our time
My guy, its VERY simple. Wilhelm Assman wanted to ruin the owner of the car, he ran an child over and the car became sentient. Wilhelm (at the time an car mechanic) began an relationship with it. He needed to blackball the guy to buy the car (he later kills himself in FNAF World) so asks his coding friend (Henry) to make it into a game. He marries the car and then makes her robort children. He has actively went out of his way to show you this. You arent playing as "Midnight Motorist" in Five Naps, you are playing as the eponomous "Midnight Motor". There is ONE notable car. Its purple. Why do you think Wilhelm just happens to be purple? Its because he loves the car.
William afton literally has an underground bunker, a sports car, a pizza establishment, and smart animatronics in 1983, I think it might be safe to say he has multiple houses, maybe the house in fnaf 4 was a replica to experiment on micheal and that house in the minigame is his actual house
@@derpythean-comdoge8608 1. "Later that night" 2. Purple car 3. Rain just like in the Puppet minigame 4. Father 5. House in a forest just like in FNaF 4 6. Using FFPS to tie loose ends (why would Scott show a new/irrelevant character in this minigame?) Who else could it have been?
"He's yellow" is a strong argument though. I've yet to see a single remotely plausible argument as to why this character whos always portrayed as purple is suddenly represent as a yellow figure.
@@brandonjslea1562Because purple shows shadow. This is the only time we see him in light. Why would CC be scared in fnaf 4 of his dad putting someone in a suit? Because he can’t see it’s his dad, he’s in shadows.
I think William is yellow in MM because it’s from his perspective. Yellow and purple are opposite on the color wheel, so it’s showing the difference between third person and first person. The suit he uses to kill is the same color, so since we know he has a special attachment to spring Bonnie it’d make sense that in a first person view he’d be represented in yellow.
Another fact compounding how abusive William is: Instead of just opening the window, Mike had to break out of it, suggesting it was permanently locked shut or something, presumably after the last time Mike went to "that place." Mike's bedroom door might've been locked from the outside too, considering how he didn't just go out the front door? It annoys me when I hear people say William was a good father and loved his kids or something like that. He's a complete psycho
Golden Freddy appearing out of Michael’s window is something that pretty much happens in the FNaF Movie!!! Golden Freddy goes to Abby’s house and Abby leaves with Golden Freddy minus the broken window
I think he just used a broken window because it would be tough to portray an open window in that art style. But if it is important then it is a bit strange Mike would shatter his bedroom window to go outside. Maybe William locks him in there all day.
@@samwaisanen8972 The Runaway (whom I also believe to be Mike) breaking the window instead of.....opening it is a choice, I guess. But, William locking the window (as you suggested) makes sense since the kid has a habit of running away.
I mean, not everyone lives in the same house all their lives. The Aftons might have moved around, especially if they needed more or less space as their children were born/ were killed. It doesn't necessarily have to be they owned multiple homes at once.
I find it really funny that at this point in the franchise it’s “pretty reasonable” to assume that footprints in the dirt mean that “The dead younger sibling of the main character is possessing a golden robot made for a Chuck E Cheese restaurant parody and is calling out to his brother from the other side of a window to help him before they’re father represented by a mustered colored stick figure comes home and experiments on haunted metal to build murderous plastic clown robots some day.” When did this series get so insane?
@@loganjohnson2463 Y’know, fun fact. At a certain point in time, this story was pretty simple. FNAF 1-3 in a vacuum isn’t *that* hard to solve, I don’t think. You might not have an answer to *every* question, but probably most. Then FNAF4 happened. And then Sister Location happened. And it’s only gotten crazier ever since.
Given Scott finally opened up about the box(no pun intended), it seems like he's trying to cut all the loose ends from the original story with simple answers because he stated that sometimes he lets things go on too long and needs to cut it down If this is now a trend for him, we will probably see more loose ends get confirmed in the future with simple answers like this
I completely agree with this take. We got the death order in HW2. Henry's line in 6 threw people off. I dont believe it was intended to imply that Charlie died first. Which wouldnt make a lot of sense. Why a security puppet if the MCI hadnt happened yet? In ultimate custom night he has Chica state she was the first as well. Scott confirmed the box was an abandoned plotline for C.C. Likely a robot body like in the books, but he didnt go through with that. Probably because William didnt live all that long after C.C died. 3 years at most. He died in 87 and was stuck until Fazbear Frights dude bros recovered him. Based on their lingo, it was definitely the 90s. Now we're getting confirmation that M.M was William. I feel this was clear from the begining but the colour really sent people for a loop. Things I would like to see cleared up; -Was Mike Afton the guard the whole time? FNAF 2 really messes with that theory because the check is dated 87 and Mike would be too young. Or was Mike the guard for 1,3,5,6 but we do play as the Bite of 87 guard in 2, as it is a prequel. When does Sister Location take place in all this? A definitive timeline would be nice. He doesnt need to spoon feed us all the lore but this has been confusing and I think hinders the story. -How many children did Afton kill? To me, it seems like 5. But Sister Location makes me doubt. I do honestly think Scott wants to move forward.with the games with Steel Wool but cant if all the previous games have confusing lore.
Conclusive counterpoint to the Not-Afton house theory. Recently in Scott approved FNAF merch for the 10th anniversary we saw that CBEAR is underneath the Afton house as we see Mike's TV in the same location as it and that CBEAR is underneath FNAF 6 which was even confirmed back in Ruin where we directly went into CBEAR underneath the pizzaplex which this merch directly shows too. Also the rooms in CBEAR are directly connected to the bunker and not any houses as we saw in Dittophobia and are not near any other houses, this means the map of CBEAR is also a testing chamber and not a actual real place above it which may be implying that maybe JR'S is Fredbear's which is on top of the recreation of it, it's confusing but what we do know is that what we saw in FNAF 4 isn't reality. The Afton's have only ever likely had a single house & under it are experiment chambers made to test child subjects. Also a common misconception is that the FNAF 4 house is in a neighborhood. This is provably false. In FNAF 4's title screen we see that the Afton house is in a forest devoid of a lot of life & even in curse of Dreadbear & HW2 we see that the Afton house is not only near Fallfest & a massive lake which are both in secluded forests just like the map of Midnight Motorist in both the minigame and map.
In fnaf 4 there’s a lot of hospital imagery, such as the flatline. Which is why people initially thought it was the Crying Child being tormented by the nightmares after being bitten. However, I think it can be explained by the hospital imagery being a part of the nightmare and not real, like Michael’s being tortured by flashbacks of when his brother was dying in hospital.
Regarding Henry's "A wound first inflicted on me", if it doesn't refer to Charlie, then I think it could possibly refer to Crying Child. I've always suspected there's some kind of crossover between the Emilys and the Aftons, which would explain why William goes for Charlie, and in the film, travels across STATES to kidnap Garrett. My half-theory is that Mrs Afton left William for Henry, either taking CC, or William suspects that CC is actually Henry's kid and drives Mrs Afton away (Think of the "Clara, the baby isn't mine!" scenes from Immortal and the Restless). Either way, CC dies, which inflicts a wound on Henry, and then only gets worse when William decides to kill Charlotte, either to hurt Henry more, or as some twisted "If I can't have what is/should be mine" mindset. I should really hammer out my thoughts on this idea properly sometime, but I really think there HAS to be some kind of crossover between those two families.
3:40 "never personally been a fan of this answer" Brother in Christ what else could it be?? The FNAF 2 minigame that the puppet minigame alludes to in Pizzaria Simulator doesnt even originally have rain, Scott made the decision for them to have these points of connection (purple car+kid left outside the restaurant and killed+rain). Later that night, the fnaf 2 minigame and the Puppet minigame all have atleast 2 of these three elements each
My take on what happened: William killed Charlotte a bit after the death of his son because he wanted Henry to suffer in his pain with him. He drove down the highway on his way to the bar with a rush of adrenaline and a feeling he's never had before. (A good one.) He visited his son's grave on the way there to tell him that he got revenge for him, and that he's one step closer to putting him back together. (Psychopathic ulterior motives.) He got to the bar, parked, and tried to enter to celebrate his victory, but was stopped and told he couldn't come in because of something that happened. (Still don't know what that is.) So he just went home, reveling in what he just did. (The house consistency doesn't matter. There's 0 consistency in FNaF anyway.) He entered the house, feeling proud of himself. While on that rush of adrenaline, he decided to go confront Michael, whom he had been avoiding for several days since CC's death. Getting angry that he locked the door, he turned around to go sit down on the couch, but rethought to himself that it is his house and that nobody should be locking any doors, so he shouts this time. Still not having worked, he went out back to confront him through his window. Instead, he found that his son had escaped from the very same window his abusive father locked to keep him inside to escape to "That Place" again. (Presumably being Fredbears in my opinion.) Michael was led away by Golden Freddy/Fredbear/CC in possession of the animatronic. (For what reason, I have no idea.) !----Anything beyond this point is fanmade----! William then sat down on the couch, unusually relaxed since CC's death. Mrs. Afton asks him what's got him so happy, and William says it's all gonna be okay, not answering the question. She secretly saw a small blood stain on his shirt. That combined with his twisted smile and eager leg movement was enough to make her finally snap and want a divorce. Just a little extra thing I thought I'd throw in there. Hope you enjoy my theory.
The problem with CC being the only spirit in Golden Freddy is that one child from the MCI is missing an animatronic. I don't believe that a child that was in a comma at their own house, under the watch of their family, could be lumped together in the same incident that involved 4 other kids being lured into a back room in a restaurant and killed. Even if William reported that CC was kidnapped, why would the police assume he was taken by the Freddy's killer, as opposed to a separate incident altogether? CC can't be the 5th missing kid. However, if the MCI has not happened yet in midnight motorist, then CC would be the only spirit in Golden Freddy at that point in time. So I have no problem with your theory overall, I just disagree that CC is the only spirit in Golden Freddy forever. Either he shares it with Cassidy, or he doesn't possess GF at all.
Oh, I don’t think that CC is the only kid inside of Golden Freddy at all. I fully believe that he’s in there with Cassidy. I just think that *he’s* the one who calls out to Mike, while Cassidy is the one who attacks him.
@@CryonideThis seems like a popular idea in the FNAF community and I want to agree with it. However the problem is that according to the conversations in the Logbook Crying Child can’t see what’s going on meaning he wouldn’t be able to see Mike and thus call out to him.

This kind of proves that all the hate towards matpat’s fnaf theories is kind of unjustified. He keeps on getting things right, but people just hate on his theories because “he’s matpat. And matpat does insane theories all the time” so nobody cares to listen despite the fact he brings up really important points and really good evidence (I am ONLY applying this to his fnaf videos btw, not anything else. Also this mainly applies to theories before HW came out). Because he said back when the game first came out “this is William, and he’s only mustard man now because there are TWO purple guys, not just one now.” (But then later he said it could have been Henry, but his original theory was that it was William). He literally brought up “yeah he killed Charlie and then later that night went home to his house. In his PURPLE CAR”
I think people think too much about the "wound first inflicted on me" line. William killed some kids. Out of all the kids he killed the first one was Charlie - Henry's daughter. The wound first inflicted on him. Other "wounds" are the victims of the MCI. The death of the crying child is an accident and has very little to do with Henry imo
Charlie died in 1983. Help wanted 2 confirms this by placing the puppet plushie in the place where you need to write 1983 to get the plushie. Also the fourth closet has Charlie dying in 1983 too and the same book answered questions from pizzeria simulator e.g moltenmci. FNAF 4 is a dream, not an experiment.
Charlie died in 1983 via HW2 and the Novels which is the same year as Crying Child, people saying otherwise is just coping. This heavily implies what CC saw was Charlie dead with the Puppet next to her those having him think the animatronics kill kids and thats why he is afraid of the Animatronics.
@@Lordoftheskies15 not true, he can be mad that Henry has a happy family while he doesn't, William could of been hearth broken from his divorce, people could of praised Henry for everything while ignoring William. William was likely always crazy as shown with him having the bunker in 1983. He definitely had a passion for the franchise and the characters and he can still be a good person then as implied by The Real Jake story saying the dad cared for his son when he wasn't around but many people can be set off and act harshly from little things.
3:50 about "later that night". That name was found in the game files. And after Scotts last interwie to Dawko, i dont think that it makes much sense to give deeper meaning to such thinks. For me, later that night, is just later midNIGHT motorist night
I think that only applies to discoveries made pre-launch of a game. Scott said he treats the file names as presets whilst developing, and upon completing the game he will update the file names to something more fitting of the asset. This didn't happen as he mentioned with security breach because steel wool hadn't adopted that philosophy of game making and were unprepared for the amount of work fnaf fans do digging into source code. Since this was fnaf six and 'later that night' was only discovered post-launch, I'd figure it was intendeded to have meaning, otherwise Scott would've probably named it "second racing stage" or something if he just wanted to give it a file name he could recognise.
In the FLAF demo theres some currently unused text meant to be used for descriptions to the carts and the characters, the Midnight Motor cart mentions that its perfect for smooth cruising and fleeing crime scenes Dunno if thatll make it into the final game but its worth mentioning
What else would “Later that night” refer to? Lets be honest, we see that the Puppet mini-game is at night and in the same game, we a get a mini-game’s code as “Later that night”. What other night would it be referring too? Why would it be a different night, from a different event and possibly a different game?
Charlie died in 1983, her grave in the books say 1980-1983 and in HW2 when you use the keypad in one of the SL levels the 1983 code spawns the puppet doll.
Something I want to point out that explains the graves from Help Wanted 2. We know that Charlie has to die before the MCI because of Henry's line. So why is she last? It's not the death order, it's the put at rest order. We see in Happiest Day that Charlie's mask is the last to go down, implying she doesn't rest till after the others do first. Or at least that's an interpretation of it. We know from UCN that the Puppet is still "very aware". Implying that along with the Vengeful Spirit aka Golden Freddy, she is still around. However, if and when the Vengeful Spirit does rest like Old Man Consequences suggest. So too then Charlie will finally rest after them.
I've considered this before, actually. The only problem that I have with it is that it kinda invalidates the order of the other 4 animatronics, since to my understanding, they all move on around the same time.
@@Cryonide I mean, tbf, we don't have anything directly proving that all 4 pass on at exactly the same time. I could see an argument that the main 4 pass on in the order then died, and the other 2 take more time because of Puppet's nature and Golden Freddy's Vengefulness.
I always thought that people were crazy for not thinking it was afton in midnight motorist like, there so much solid evidence that was pointing towards it being aftons car that for people to still says its not him is actually insane to me. Atleast we can confidently say that Mustard man is William afton its time to lay it to rest.
In Into the Pit, Jeff's Pizza opens up in a building where an old Freddy's once was, so maybe the same thing is going on with JR's. William isn't allowed in because he probably got carried away there, which would make even more sense if he got emotional and drunk while inside the building where his beloved business was once thriving. Perhaps Golden Freddy was leading Michael to JR's to show him something related to Freddy's inside of the back rooms of the building.
My theory about Midnight Motorist's location is England. This would explain the road in FLAF, Phone Guy being unsure about Fredbear's Family Diner, the Afton's accents. Now, I don't know if those trees (pine trees?) grow in England but Agony doesn't exist in reality so I'll let it slide
@@lythough7749the fnaf community is always caught between “not everything was done intentionally” and “Scott can never possibly make mistakes about his own lore”
The route between JR's and the House is nearly identical to the route between the Afton House and Fredbear's, so it's highly likely that JR's was repurposing the Fredbear's building. Plus, as FNaF 4's title screen and FNaF Help Wanted show, the (or at least, _an)_ Afton House is in the middle of the woods, so it's also very likely that this is indeed the Afton house. Newer games' details often override or take precedence over old ones, so I would place higher priority on the more realistically-rendered FNaF 4 title screen, the Help Wanted Dreadbear hub, and Midnight Motorist over the FNaF 4 minigames. Said FNaF 4 minigames also truncate space enough to effectively place Fredbear's Family Diner sharing a wall with the Afton House if you want to take that set entirely literally, which I find unlikely. 3:16 Literally 90% of our understanding of the games' story is conjecture in the absence of concrete evidence, that doesn't make this point special. 5:48 Lol, we appreciate honesty about the Glowing Teeth monster. 10:02 That's a really good point about why Mustard Man suddenly decides to wait for "him" to come back instead of chasing after him, even if it's narratively unsatisfying. 10:49 I never considered JR's looking like a restaurant, but that is a distinct possibility. Noted.
I thought that the aspect of William coming back home after killing Charlie was the least important thing of discussion with the car, the weather and the name in the files but i guess here we are finally. The only thing that is still even debateable here is the identity of the runaway and the person infront of the TV which would basically spell out what is going on here. With every info that came out during that time pointing to wrap up the story with origins and endings for me it feels like it's depicting the crumbling Afton household post Bite of 83. Jr's seems like a generic bar that's alluding to a potential fall into alcoholism for William to underline his abusive father side. The mother is more a depressed husk than a working person; who can't reach out to her husband anymore and Michael is shown to be tormented by both his father and the guilt for CC's death with the ghostly aporiton of his brother leading him either to the graveside or the restaurant that turned into a fresh murder scene. No matter where he went to William's plans of putting him into the nightmare experiments starts here. Atleast that's my interpretation :)
Yellow fellow was a direct response to the “Miketrap” confusion. He already made the mistake of representing two separate characters with purple sprites so when he praised matpat’s video making the distinction between one purple guy who was purple because he was in shadows on a black background, and one character who was literally physically purple, Scott took that into consideration and ultimately decided the next time he depicted William Afton as a sprite, he had to do it with one that isn’t purple, so people wouldn’t think it was Mike.
My theory for why the houses are different is maybe because Aftons are going through divorce and this is just William's home as opposed to their shared home in FNaF 4 minigames. That or perchance they moved out after CC's death, to escape the bad memories. Weak theory, but possible. Also, in Help Wanted 2 the code to get the puppet plushie is 1983, which implies that Charlie died that year, likely soon after CC's death.
Mabye the resturaunt is named JR's because Michael is Williams first born son (therefore the jr) and he's at the restaurant hiding from his father after visiting the dirt mound because he knows his father cant go in there.
Honestly I think Elizabeth was buried in the dirt spot instead of the crying child. Crying child got bit at fredbears during the day and died in a hospital, people saw and knew about his death. Elizabeth died in a "gas leak", alone with no one to see. There'd be more reason for him to burry Elizabeth in an un-marked grave then cc.
I'm somehow not totally conviced this is a confirmation though. These are licenced games and scott himself said in the latest dawko interview that he mostly just leaves them for themselves to make the games(as with into the pit). I feel that the purple car could easily have been added by some creator of five laps at freddies who headcanons that the yellow guy is william afton. Would not be suprised if this was changed or corrected in the future as you said.
I understand why he was yellow in that minigame, but I still think it could have been done so much better. Like, add a purple shade on the edge or something. It would have looked cooler and everyone would still know who it is.
7:03 game theory has a video that explains this, that lines up perfectly with this theory (it’s the one about the mimic with toilet Bonnie in the thumbnail)
One that makes sense too is that midnight motorist is actually that the minigame is the Night after CC died in the hospital, which leaves Michael as the only child left in the house. I believe Elizabeth Afton died first because of her empty room in the FNAF 4 minigames.
I have a theroy. What if charlie died in 1984. A year before william would kill the missing children and an entire year for micheal to have to deal with the fact he accidentally killed his littke brother
7:03 a theory I saw (i believe brought up by rye toast) was that william kidnapped henry’s son, and that’s who the crying child is which explains “the baby isn’t mine” from the after hours fnaf show along with why there’s such a theme of william being a kidnapper, ALSO in the books henry DOES have a son (yes books =/= games but they’re similar !! )
My theory on what the purpose of this minigame is (at least the start) is showing how Purple Guy got the motive to kill, he got drunk and angry at Henry. Notice how he drives in the minigame, and how he swerves from car to car, and even driving against traffic, like a drunk person could do. This helps us understand how Purple Guy was able to bring himself to kill Henry’s daughter, thus leading down a lot of events
Ironically, I think the thing Scott was trying to tell us with MM was also the thing that made it so hard to solve. Namely, that William doesn't have purple skin (unlike Michael post SL) and that William only appears that way in the shadows.
I like this foundation building, good to get all the concrete evidence in order every once in a while. Plus, with Goldy having a knack for uttering "ITS ME" in his encounters, it'd make sense for him to be trying to reach out to his bro. I imagine that CC's death was the catalyst for Purple Guy to descend into his true impulses and slit Charlie's throat to knock Henry down a peg, thus lining up with Henry's own line of "A wound first inflicted on me". After that he does Fnaf4, the MCI, and inadvertently kills his daughter (Not necessarily in that order). Good theory overall, and good on you for admitting and moving past prior mistakes or changes in opinion, I respect it :)
What's alsoweird is the amount of people who think Jr's is a Freddy fazbear location. It is clearly A bar he is no longer allowed to be at and he's clearly already drunk before even going there
Your voice jumpscared me in the best way 🥰 (I forgot to put a lofi video on loop and this just out of nowhere played, and for some reason … this was the one that autoplayed… lovely accidents!)
I uses to think midnight motorist was about Henry and the broken window was Charlie escaping to go to the pizzeria when Henry was performing and she was locked out
I don’t know. I always assumed the dirt mound was maybe one of the nightmare animatronics buried down there similar to how the twisted animatronics are in the twisted ones
I can believe the car being named killercar but why would such a specific line be in the code describing the vehicle. they have a tendency to obsess over insignificant details that don't really matter.
What do you mean? Whats your theory?
Maybe the reason William is mustard color in the minigame is because he’s only purple for children as, "What is seen in shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child."
Henry made the Midnight Motorist game and programmed the way William looks, as the color of Springtrap.
The colors also might reference the business man in the FNAF Pizzeria Simulator cutscenes, the same guy wears both orange and purple suits (he even holds a phone in one of the images like purple guy was thought to hold a phone).
To me the yellow either implies that either this is william before he completely lost himself (purple color representing him being exactly when he went full psycho/mad scientist) or that he was just drunk, or both (before he lost himself and started murdering kids left and right, and while he was drunk)
And its also maybe the exact same day/night when Charlie was murdered. He got drunk and did the unthinkable then went recklessly driving until he got home. Maybe once he got sober after doing that is when we could assume that he 'became purple' basically (once he realised what he had done).
He's yellow because he never changed out of the Spring Bonnie suit.

5:36 The proper term for what Circus Baby's shoes are jester or bell slippers!
Odyssey Central? what are you doing here?
The experiment are confirmed to be in the underground bunker
Right. It would almost be odd in the US to not move some time during the story.
if he did move houses after ccs death, crying child would be buried at the old house and not at the new one as the mound of dirt implies
@@titoglazer this all really depends on how long the CC was in a coma and if William got his body back. I personally the FNAF 4 box is where William put CC remains and buried him in that forest once they moved.

Yeah he probably did plan for Willam to be yellow guy or did but didn't think about if it logically fit into the story enough (no offence)
A lot of the mysteries in the story don’t have answers
There’s a lot of things I think are like that, like the Springlock suit in sister location.
People debate what suit it is and that it must be important. They also say because Scott didn’t say what suit it was in the first Dawko interview that confirms that it must be important.
I think Scott thought “wouldn’t it be cool to have a gameplay section where you’re trapped in a springlock suit and have to stop the springlocks from going off”
So he put it in the game and the reason he doesn’t answer who the suit is, is because there isn’t an answer; he didn’t put any thought into which suit it would be.

Also, the yellow is exactly opposite purple on a colour wheel. I just assumed they did it so his sprite was actually visable in the dark & rain
Yeah I think that’s why too. Scott probably thought the purple car was enough.
yellow text is also often used for william, if i remember correctly
Another fact compounding how abusive William is: Instead of just opening the window, Mike had to break out of it, suggesting it was permanently locked shut or something, presumably after the last time Mike went to "that place." Mike's bedroom door might've been locked from the outside too, considering how he didn't just go out the front door? It annoys me when I hear people say William was a good father and loved his kids or something like that. He's a complete psycho
Afton doesn’t necessarily need to have had multiple houses, he could’ve just moved. Moving closer to work, closer to Fredbear’s.

If this is now a trend for him, we will probably see more loose ends get confirmed in the future with simple answers like this
I completely agree with this take.
Things I would like to see cleared up;
-Was Mike Afton the guard the whole time?

Something's are best left forgotten for now
It might be explained in a diffrent game.
or Left Behind
Later that night, the fnaf 2 minigame and the Puppet minigame all have atleast 2 of these three elements each
My take on what happened:
William killed Charlotte a bit after the death of his son because he wanted Henry to suffer in his pain with him.
He drove down the highway on his way to the bar with a rush of adrenaline and a feeling he's never had before. (A good one.)
He visited his son's grave on the way there to tell him that he got revenge for him, and that he's one step closer to putting him back together. (Psychopathic ulterior motives.)
He got to the bar, parked, and tried to enter to celebrate his victory, but was stopped and told he couldn't come in because of something that happened. (Still don't know what that is.)
So he just went home, reveling in what he just did. (The house consistency doesn't matter. There's 0 consistency in FNaF anyway.)
He entered the house, feeling proud of himself.
(Presumably being Fredbears in my opinion.)
Michael was led away by Golden Freddy/Fredbear/CC in possession of the animatronic. (For what reason, I have no idea.)
!----Anything beyond this point is fanmade----!
Ah yes, the creator has solved the lore for his own game/j
@@Cryonide That makes sense!
@@CryonideThis seems like a popular idea in the FNAF community and I want to agree with it. However the problem is that according to the conversations in the Logbook Crying Child can’t see what’s going on meaning he wouldn’t be able to see Mike and thus call out to him.
I don’t even see the Bite Victim being in Fredbear simply because William had his entire body to himself.
What if "it's me" Is just cassidy trying to scare Mike because William and Michael look alike huh....maybe CC was Never even in Golden freddy@@Cryonide
I love the Your Turn to Die music throughout the video
This interpretation also fits the "you play as Michael in FNAF 1-6" theory, which I personally believe is the story Scott was telling
As if it wasn't obvious enough 🤦♂️ Scott had to literally baby his audience
its nice to see someone takeing the lore in a diffrent way, on youtube, u earned a sub
btw i theory is that fnaf does ot have 1 timeline, but multiple, what i mean with that is the fnaf lore and story, is correct to the person who tells it, so everyone is right if they can make the peaces fit togeder, and they can do that in multiple ways, so everyone is right and wrong
This leaves Afton motiveless so people are less inclined to believe it.
Saying people who don’t believe your theory is coping is literally cope
@@Kabal39 mate it's fact at this point and that's no theory. And also saying stuff like that shows your coping with the idea it isn't.
It’s William, Mike is the runaway and the foot prints are golden Freddy’s. His brother, appearing to him.
He made the game of course he fucking knows what happens
Anybody who thinks that midnight motorist ISNT right after charlies death fr are just arguing for fun
In the FLAF demo theres some currently unused text meant to be used for descriptions to the carts and the characters, the Midnight Motor cart mentions that its perfect for smooth cruising and fleeing crime scenes
Dunno if thatll make it into the final game but its worth mentioning
Bro just didn't play or watch help wanted 2
@@hypn0tic109 I did, and there isn't anything that directly says this is the death order.
I heard that it could be William’s past when he was a child.
Good theory but ain't no way scott paid that much attention to it
@@lythough7749the fnaf community is always caught between “not everything was done intentionally” and “Scott can never possibly make mistakes about his own lore”
those trees do infact grow in parts of england
@@justice8718 Counter point; why is the minigame labeled "later that night", then?
3:58 1983
we have a evidence that confirms this when you wrote in Fnaf help wanted 2 when you wort 1983 you will get the puppet doll
To be fair, from what i know five laps at freddies was made by klikteam themselves and not scott, so it may not be directly canon.
Noted.
Great video and even better music choices!
Made it a very enjoyable watch
Welcome back, good to see you posting again. Have been super excited to see your ideas on five laps!
THE YOUR TURN TO DIE SOUNDTRACK WAS ON POINT
6:33 but what about the person on the couch, shouldnt that be michael?
4:02 Yes we do. The Fourth Closet confirms her death year. 1983.
“We don’t have a universally accepted answer”
Also the Fourth Closet may have different continuity
@@bradeezelbubwe may not have an exact answer, but we do have a suggestion.
@@sagepirate5302 yes, so it’s not universally accepted, not sure if you saw that part :3
Mabye the resturaunt is named JR's because Michael is Williams first born son (therefore the jr) and he's at the restaurant hiding from his father after visiting the dirt mound because he knows his father cant go in there.
I held out so long that the Motorist was a MCI parent and Five Laps is this close to sending me into a coma with that fricking car accessory lmao
The lore is getting crazy now
“It was me Matpat, all along, I AM THE MANDARIN”
-Scott Cawthon probably
YTTD music caught me off-guard until I noticed the literal Meister pfp... someone has taste
Maybe the house is the mothers house and her kids are visiting so purple guy goes there instead of his own home or reverse
11:53 not me saying the belt💀
You're going to hell LMAO

Another point of evidence: In the movie, golden freddy lures Abby to a Freddy’s location at night
the channel identity and presentation is top notch. keep up the great work!
hehehehehe as a yttd fan your visual and music had me going "WAIT A SECOND"
I understand why he was yellow in that minigame, but I still think it could have been done so much better. Like, add a purple shade on the edge or something. It would have looked cooler and everyone would still know who it is.
They’re complementary colors, I think that was his attempt. It’s opposite the color wheel, a purple shade would make it brown
A year before william would kill the missing children and an entire year for micheal to have to deal with the fact he accidentally killed his littke brother
i can't believe scott is the guy in midnight motorist
This is one of the best, most sound midnight motorist theories I've ever seen!
William talks to the crying child as threw the Fredbear plushie. He acts like an apathetic friend since his better off being a friend than being a dad
It's my headcannon that the Aftons have a mansion, but that's my perticular version of Fnaf
I will forever hate that one of the biggest questions in fnaf lore is the purpose of a random mound of dirt
im pretty sure midnight motorist is just scott wanting to develop the story further
What's alsoweird is the amount of people who think Jr's is a Freddy fazbear location. It is clearly A bar he is no longer allowed to be at and he's clearly already drunk before even going there
