I was looking at the BMT phases and I had a completely different reaction compared to other people, they were saying that it sucked but it sounds amazing to me even when watching documentaries. I'm not extremely nervous for BMT (still nervous because I genuinely care) but I know that AIT will probably be a bigger hurdle that I know I'll get through. I am indecisive on what job I want though before I go into MEPS. After my contract I hope to transition to another branch just for experience

To all the young kids out there with parents who care, appreciate that shit. Don't take things for granted, show appreciation, and vocalize your love. We only have one shot at this life and there will come a time where you will be able to count the number of times you will be able to see your parents before they go.
I’m so so grateful to have the parents that I have. It felt so good when I got a job and saved my first 1000 and took my mom out to spend the money on her. Every time it’s her birthday I go all out. She said she doesn’t like it bc I wake up too early and she doesn’t want me to get tired. I am telling you this women is way too considerate. I’ve never met anyone like her. My dad is an amazing dad too. He always put us first before him. Which is why we also like spoiling him on his birthday or Father’s Day. He never buys things for himself bc he says that he rather buy us things.I hope to some day be able to buy them house and take care of them just like they did to me. I’m still a teen and living with them. Which is why I can’t do that yet lol.
Im grateful that i eat two times a day.
Sorry but I hate my parents.
that last part really hit me. “...there will come a time where you will be about to count the number of times you will be able to see their parents before you go.”
i have a love-hate relationship with them, appreciate certain things they’ve done but simultaneously loathe other specific experiences i had to go through.

@I don’t Know she saw an opportunity and grabbed it. Just because she worked hard doesn't mean she left the "other kids in the slums" for dead. Bella’s story is so much like my mom’s. My mom was physically and mentally abused by my grandma, and just like bella my mom joined the police force thinking that the family would love her but my grandma said exactly the same thing as bella’s stepdad that dont ever come back etc. Then just like Bella, everyone in the police camp was crying wanting to go home but my mom was the happiest there and she said she remembered begging crying so hard to extend her police training because she doesn’t wanna go home. But all is well now, my mom and my grandma are in good condition now, but the trauma is still there. I cant imagine how bella and my mom went thru such traumatic past.
