@@CookinginRussia If your teaching seems like showing off, then you're the one that's utterly incompetent, sorry to say. A proper lesson should be fully understood and not overwhelming to someone, no matter what their skill is at the time.
@@spicy7302 Depends. Speaking from experience, watching a master doing his craft can be both a lesson and inspiration. And most at the top of the game does not have time for halfdoers. There is a half way, but the chef business is not one of them. There is a reason why that profession is flooded with bolivian spice.
The sheer joy in Norm's face after Gordan makes the 'Ladies Cook" joke is just amazing. He's basically watching from the outside how people reacted to some of his SNL jokes.
That millisecond at 2:19 where Norm realizes exactly what Gordon said before the audience has a chance to react is a thing of beauty. The first time I've ever seen him delightedly surprised- it's usually him catching people off guard. Gordon even used Norm's preferred term, "ladies." But I think Gordon slagging off the audience's disapproval is what earned Gordon the backslap AND handshake at the end of the segment.

@@christiandelvalle282 feel sorry for you man. You just be a sad guy
@@christiandelvalle282 clearly you've never been a cook
@@christiandelvalle282 it’s all in the delivery of the joke. Gordon’s just ordering these two clueless amateurs who are clearly way over their head trying to keep up with a world star chef. Of course they are gonna look like two idiots in the kitchen compared to him. So in exasperation he says why become a cook, in trying to pin his current suffering on Gordon’s choice of profession, instead of his apparent lack of skills, blaming his current predicament purely on Gordon’s passion and love for cooking that made him turn this passion into his full-time career. He comes off as someone unable to admit their faults, trying to blame a world-star chef is the reason he can’t cook. This “sore-loser” persona is absurdly funny. Furthermore he says it in a tone as if to say, “why even bother” or What’s the point of trying to get good at a certain skill (such as cooking) if it causes suffering. Obviously this is fallacious reasoning since those who have experienced life know the best things in life gained are those earned through struggle and hard-work. And of course it has to do with comedic timing. He says it almost randomly and matter-of-factly as if by he himself telling Gordon Ramsay that he had picked wrong in his career-choice will have any actual sway in Gordon’s satisfaction from choosing the path he has chosen to become a chef. As if someone with such a successful career as him will all of a sudden because of one off-hand statement will have a sudden epiphany that he’s made a mistake and will decide to quit and question the motive of his whole-life’s long and successful career. Again just absurdly ridiculous and hilarious. He’s playing the fool very well.

I love how easy it is to see how much Conan loves Norm
Gordon: " Watch your fingers "
Norm: nearly slashing Gordon's arm several times :-D
I was looking for this comment...what he did was super dangerous...I assume he was only inches from Gordon Ramsay’s hand
15 years since we lost Eddie Guerrero...
One of the greatest, thinking of him can't help but make you smile ❤️
Miss you, Eddie 🙏

Yea, interesting how Gordon didn't comment on that, not even jokingly. He might have been a bit angry with Norm after that, i know i would've.. but he didn't want to go there on camera.
Honestly it probably isn't a great idea to give him a knife
I'd be fine with Aliens seeing this as their only example of humans.
Each of these guys are normally so in control, and with each other none of them are in control, and it’s beautiful.
If rock paper scissors was a group.
1:10 “your not teaching me you’re just showing off!” How many times have i wanted to say that yet i hadn’t the words. Thank you Norm
Norm subtly pretending to do the orange when Gordon's back was turned was gold lol
What I like the most about Norm is his warmth. Some comedians sacrifice goodwill for the joke but you can always see Norm directing a friendly smile at them when he is messing with people.
"BY THE WAY THERE'S A BOTTLE OF BOOZE!" I'll forever remember that he said this and will use it often in Norm's memory.
This is what happens when you put the A student, the teacher, and the class clown together.
Brilliant analogy
I thought there were 3 class clowns.
God damn I’m gonna miss this guy
Norm McDonald interacting with Gordon Ramsay is THE greatest thing I’ve ever seen! This may be the best late-night segment ever.
Norm's clap at 4:46 is so adorable. Like a little kid.
They just killed it. This is comic liquid gold. Some people chase a TV moment like this their all careers, and most of them don't even came close. Bravo to Norm, Conan and Gordon.
This was absolute chaos and it’s the most I’ve ever laughed at a Gordon Ramsey video. GR actually looked like he was having a blast
Whomever thought involving Norm McDonald in a cooking segment was an idiot.
They probably got a raise.
@@tommatthews1156 Or so the German's would have you believe.
@@rhelferstay German Shepherds you mean?
@@flaccidreflex5563 Haha, didn't even think of that, was just referencing another Norm joke, but I like your combination of the two jokes.
Who was that guy? You guessed it
@@jesusisgod2953 hard to believe something that features talking animals and encourages murder and incest. So it's gonna be a hard "no" from me, dawg
The way Gordon’s voice breaks when he says “just concentrate” 😂
"Noorm yoUu're suPpoSed to Be FOllOwInG MeEeE"
This is still one of my favorite Conan bits of all time. Between Gordon and Norm being norm it's just sooo good.
2:00. Norm destroys it in one simple sentence. RIP Norm. Funniest guy ever.
Not even Gordon Ramsay can top Norm!
Is that setting the bar too high?
Abhishek Sharma but I still like Gordon
I'm a fan of both Conan and Norm but Gordon is on different level
@@samo619 yes
Not quite sure what the comparison is between a chef and a comedian
The part where Norm starts using the bag as a napkin to wipe his hands has me dead..
Norm being a hilarious, loveable goof while derailing segments. He truly was the best at this sort of humor and I love it.
You can tell gordon is a a huge norm fan. That made me smile watching norm willingly troll a world class chef for laughs. RIP legend
We need an uncensored version of this PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Norm needs to come back to Conan his segments are the best
How many segments though?
@@drumboarder1 He threw them all away
The chaotic energy of these 3 are amazing together. I could have watched 10 hours of this
Sad to see his death had to bring us all together but so happy to see SO many compilations getting views and RIPs for Norm. We lost one of the greats.
