This movie portrayed the harsh reality of Chicago. I understood the message of the writer. While the community can unite and connect, there are still individuals who believe that gang life is the solution.
If only they used actual people from Chicago for the gang parts instead of tyga. Lol

I mean the barber I went to was joined with a salon. Guys was watching the games, talking and occasionally smacking down dominoes, the salon was girl talk and nothing more to it. It was actually built similar to that shop.
That changes over the years. First it was Oakland, then it was new Orleans, now it's Chicago. Eventually, it will be something else.
This movie is the best barbershop film alongside the original movie
Although the first one is the original classic, this version provided a lot of important commentary not just on the harsh reality of young black men living in Chicago but also on the issue of sparatic gun violence all over our country. Not just in the urban inner cities but also in our suburbs and rural areas.
I really liked this one. Barbershop has a legit trilogy. No skips

Fun fact Common ( Plays Rashad) and Ice Cube had a rap beef in the 90s and this movie they publicly squashed it. ( My Father taught me when this movie dropped 😭 Common won the beef tho)

I love your mind and how you were raised. If you were older. I would definetly marry you. I like latina women because they believe in tradition. Older black women do but younger black women dont believe in Tradion. God made women with femenity. Women are taught to cook for the family and especially their children. Families should eat food thats prepared in the home without all the additives that are in fast food. You are beautiful and stay true to your spirit. Never change. I believe you will make a great wife and mother someday just make sure you get a mature man who has grown up and got all that young foolishness out of himself. When we are young we are extremely immature. Women mature faster then men. I didn't mature until i turned 40 before then i was extremelly immature. Trying to sleep with every women i could. I didnt appreciate a smart, strong women. I mean i want you to be a strong women but never be disrespectful and neither would i. I like a women that speaks her opionion but be women. I dont like women behaving masculine. God made men to be masculine and women to be femine. I was never taught to put my hand on a women. I like a women to know how to chastize her man in his home and not in public. Because i would never do that to my wife but if she act a fool in public i will leave her stand there by herself. I think the only reason it got low ratings is because of the overacting and overemphasis that we’ve been seeing in a lot of movies (especially new Tyler Perry films) but still a great film 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

The only reason I am familiar with any of the gang names in this movie is bc of 2 books I read growing up called My Bloody Life the making of a Latin King and its sequel once a king always a king weiren by a real former Latin king with the penname Reymundo Sanchez. My eyes got so wide when you said you were from Humbolt Park area..were you exposed to any gang members in that area when you lived there? I'm very curious. When Rey mentioned the vice lords they were predominantly black. Those books are very touching and I've reread them at least 2-3 tunes each. Would love a movie to come out for it.
My cousins are gang members but I’ve definitely been exposed to other gang members/shootouts/bodies etc.

Barbershop 3 got lower reviews more from audiences. However, the critics gave it higher scores. I think because Barbershop 3 touched on serious issues that struck a nerve with people. It wasn't just 100 percent comedy. I myself enjoyed it. I consider Barbershop 3 to be the best one in my opinion.

I watched the Barbershop cause Ice Cube is da bomb. Problem in the movie is Nicki Minaj. All the problems this film is showing on how dangerous the streets is, even with Minaj's character wearing revealed clothing like that, also could've been a problem to avoid. There are pigs out there with no remorse of their actions. Gang violence, rape, assault, guns and murder. Very serious situations.

A lot of men ask for traditional women while not obtaining the qualifications in being a traditional man. What she said wasn’t wrong but that’s a GENERAL fundamental that both men AND women should know how to do as a form of survival.
