Agreed. I have nothing against the post-SGW designs, but the comic reads as more of a send-off to SatAM than to Archie, so it's more appropriate to use show-accurate designs
@@jessiebell6884 i think using the Pre-genesis versions are clever since those are gone from existence, but the Time Eater must have found remanent of that timeline across space-time and eat it since there was also some Sonic's success in defeating eggman, but I can guess that this would be temporary before their are gone again once the flow of time flows again.

Gonna add on to this with list of ideas - Sonic (Modern) vs. Scourge Details: After being lost in time for whatever knows how long, Scourge reencounters Sonic in white space. As Scourge rushes in blazing with anger, Sonic has no choice but to fight, sending this stranger back to whence he came. Although, he REALLY doesn't want to go back. - Sonic (Classic) vs. Super Sonic (Fleetway Comics) Details: As Sonic rushes through white space, he sees a television screen floating in the air. Peeking, he sees another reality, a city undergoing chaos. Wasting no time, Sonic jumps through, landing in rubble as he sees the cause of all this senseless destruction. A Sonic? But, this one has weird eyes. They also gone super too! It doesn't take long for this Sonic to spot the misplaced blue blur as they charge in at full speed, disregarding their previous plans. Our Sonic, stood firm, now must fight for his life and this city, having substantially low odds. Nows the time to break limits. - New Level: Landslide Limbo (SegaSonic the Hedgehog) Details: Traversing through white space, the Sonics spot familiar faces. In the distance, they see Might and Ray, trapped in a statue like state. Determined to free their friends, the Sonics work together once again, working their way across a wacky yet wild terrain. + Sonic (Classic) vs. Team Hooligan Details: After freeing Mighty and Ray, a new rival battle will appear. Much like Mighty and Ray, Team Hooligan appears in white space, confused on their whereabouts. Spotting Sonic, Fang immediately becomes weary of Sonic's presence and turns to offense as his team follows. They won't want to listen unless it's a fight. Note: The purpose is to address the missing whereabouts of Mighty, Ray, and Team Hooligan at the time of Generations. This would be a fun way of recognizing these missing characters while also bringing more classic stuff to the game.

I was especially caught off-guard by the mention of the SegaSonic adventure; I feel like most people don't even remember that game (even when discussing Mighty and Ray...) It would be cool if, as the Scourge fight goes on, White Space slowly morphs around them into a recreation of the outskirts of Scourge's castle on the day Sonic de-escalated Super Scourge.
@TheSnappoI kinda imagine that the Pre-genesis wave stages like Scourge's Castle and stuff appears as temporal anomalies of White Space like echoes of a distant space-time reality, reacting to the Chaos emeralds since the Super Genesis Wave were caused with the same Chaos Energy. And when we continue through the ACTs, we see the world of the stages slowly disappearing as if the temporal anomalies is getting fixed by the chaos energy, returning them back into non-existence.
I can imagine cool and fun events like other Freedom Fighters joining to fight Robotnik once and for all, Sonic meeting Scratch and grounder and saying how they are even more weird than Orbot and Cubot, and even mentions of other Archie/Satam characters like Dulcy the Dragon.
Everyone is talking about the SATAM theme, but don’t think that I didn’t notice you sneak Wacky Workbench Bad Future in there at 0:43. Very clever addition.
