Motorhome pub stopover at the Sun Trevor and breakfast at the Rhug Estate.

The Slaws are out on a pub stopover in Wales on their way to Barmouth for the Easter weekend. @visitwales
They are in Helga their Hobby motorhome @HobbyCaravan with their two Lhasa Apso dogs, Billy and Jessie.
The pub is the Sun Trevor between Trevor and Llangollen on the Llangollen canal. It's free to park overnight in the dedicated motorhome parking bays as long as you eat in the pub.
It's very dog friendly and the Slaws have a lovely meal.
Next morning they go for a 5K run along the canal before heading off to the Rhug Estate for breakfast and shock horror! It's not a thumbs up from Mrs Slaw!

Enjoyed the vlog Sun Trevor looked fab and great the dogs were treated too! We do like Rhugg but it is expensive….The Ponderosa is a firm favourite for a full English breakfast … if it’s good for bikers it’s good for us 😊

Looks like a good stopover and we love going to the Rhug Estate. Sorry to say this, but ads every 2 mins all the way through did spoil it somewhat, especially as it was the same two ads repeated !!!

That looked like a great little stop over. We love going to North Wales and have had many a yummy beef burger at the Rhug Estate, it’s a shame it was a let down for you on this occasion. We are looking forward to following your adventures. Happy Holidays

I remember visiting Trevor Basin and the Pontcysylite Aquaduct about 6 or seven years ago when we attended a Geocaching Mega Event. I had made a reservation for a window seat at the Trevor Pub for our lunch. We were seated at the table by the big rectangular window which had lovely views over the valley and the reason for going there. We ordered our meal and just as it arrived, a coach full of tourists pulled up right in front of our window totally blocking our view. Not only that, but we had to eat our lunch while being watched by all the bus passengers. The meal wasn't very good either and the tables were greasy and sticky. So a definite thumbs down. Maybe it has changed hands since then and things have improved. We normally stayed at the Afon Rhaiadr Country House just before Bont Newydd, now that is a boutique hotel worth stopping at. Looking forward to your vlog of Barmouth. We loved it there and did lots of geocaching there and along the Afon Mawddach Estuary. I think you once did a bike ride along there.

The quality of food used to be fantastic at the rhug estate but it seems to have dropped the more popular it’s become.I can remember it being just a little catering van many years ago before the built the estate.
Quantity over quality
We agree Dave. We first went about 10 years ago and the food was really good. It was such a disappointment this time 😢
