Great start to your tour, glad it wasn’t too windy! We camped in Doolin a few years ago, now breeze when we went to sleep about 1am ( it’s Doolin so early to bed that night 😜) started blowing about 5am, on sticking our heads out of the tent at 9am we were the only tent left standing, every other one had been blown dome. Hi Slaws, after having a caravan for many years whilst living and working in Germany and travelling Europe with our two dogs, we are now retired and caravan less. After our retirement and return to UK Prior to a Brexit we holidayed in Europe every year with dogs, last year we cancelled our trip to France after getting a quote from our vet for over £200 for the AHC. This year we have decided to hire a camper van and travel to Ireland along the WAW with sadly now only one dog. It has been brilliant watching your journey and picked up so many tips not only for where to stop and stay, beautiful beaches interesting points and also what we may need to take with us in the van. Also which roads to avoid! Unfortunately you can’t get the route planner you recommended at the moment, although I contacted the publisher and their should be a new edition out in May. Regarding the dogs I do have a couple of questions you may be able to help us with. you obviously had the AHC for the trip which you used for the vet in Ballymena, was it your own vet who provided it for the price, we have checked around here (Manchester) and the cost is horrendous, however would be worth it to get the passport. Have you been abroad with the dogs since you got their passports? It seems such a money making exercise, but we would never go away without our dog. I’d appreciate any help in manoeuvring this complicated system. Keep travelling, and keep entertaining us, you are doing a fantastic job, looking forward to seeing more of your adventure in Helga.
Hi Margaret, thanks very much for watching and I’m glad the vlogs were helpful for you. Yes, our own vet did the AHC for us. I think it was about £160 for both dogs. We used the passports when we sailed Hull/Rotterdam and back in September with no problems. Hope that helps 👍🏻
