Same it seemed way too rushed trying to fit everything in the allowed time (because of passing out at 2am) but this and cattails are my 2 favourite games so far.
I agree with the reviewer, something about the graphics look very bright and not the usual 8bit but can’t put my finger on it, looks charming! Main character reminds me of Fez too

@@brettpierce5225 I barely played Stardew, too wholesome, couldn't get into it. The general opinion is that it's the better game, but the theme and dark humour of Graveyard Keeper suit me more.
Lovely game, can recommend it to anyone! The developer created a true gem here. Perfect pacing and lots of fun!

I've been watching development of this game for a lot of time, but I can't seem to justify $20 for it
@@Aereton I can understand that feeling :) Personally I agree, but just because I like to support developers like this I mind a bit less. I'd say add it to the wishlist and purchase it for ~15. That's a very fair price for the hours and hours of fun you'll have in my opinion!

Congratulations on another great review! I reckon that showing waves is unnecessary as it would make the water stand out and take the player's focus out of the terrain. You can tell that the developers wanted that clean look in a game that has so many objects you can interact with in addition to icons that pop out. No clutter, no fillers. Less is more and beautiful pixel art is here to stay (I prefer snappy 2D over yet another slow and generic 3D look that's become all too common since the PS1 era).
Thank you! That makes a lot of sense. Things can definitely get overwhelming on-screen especially towards the end of the game.

Your review has made this a must buy for me now. I need to catch up on my backlog but if its on sale or when the times comes, I can add this to my switch which it's SD and flash drive is starting to run out of space.
141mb isn't a deal breaker though, heck I have save files bigger than this game

I like not having to maintain relationships like stardew, might try this one. Have you reviewed graveyard keeper?
That was a huge plus for me as well. I just wanted to get down to the farming and mining in Stardew.

Awesome review. I was really curious about this game, but with Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Stardew Valley, my plate's already full for this genre so I'm not in any particular rush. Eventually though.

Please support this game. The dev is pretty active on steam and he is a pretty chill guy. Game can be dismissed as a bit pricey but it is actually pretty fun. I gotta hold off this one for later since I got the PC version. Way too many games on my plate too with all the recent releases (fire emblem progress I got is hindered by Terraria and PC age of wonders Planetfall). Heck Pillars of eternity took a huge chunk of my budget a day ago.

SwitchUp Oh yeah I think in the options in the PC version he added his life story in it that you can read about. Also I think he mentioned that he will be releasing more content on it relating to farming,economics,building and pretty much other aspects in the game. Ugh I might actually pick this up and marathon on my plane ride since this is a relaxing game that you can pick up and play.
This would have had same screen or split coop it would have been instant buy for me
I'm supporting him.... his story really touched my soul...felt like crying . And i love that he has multiple plans for his game in the future...combat...more content and multiplayer :D!!!!!!

Energy bar? Thanks for the heads up, not interested now. After the experience in Stardew, I'm turned off by these types of games with energy bars. That game was way to hyped, I just want to end my day when I choose, similar to AC.
Hunger bars are the most annoying thing in video games for me
It was my least favorite aspect of the game and they easily could have done without it.
I pick this game from the first day i really enjoy it i put now more then 20h on it xD really recommend for people who like craft and building thanks for the review 👍 😁

@@SwitchUpYt same, switch backlog (wishlist) already contains over 60 titles and that doesn't even include all the great titles that are yet to come this year
That pesky backlog. It's ever-growing for me too. Especially with DQB2 taking over 80 hours to beat story mode.
I played this game too on pc. It really did lack content. The core gameplay loop was a little sad after the initial hour. I did enjoy the hour though but it feels like a 5 dollar game.

I was pumped for this game, then Dqb2 came along. So addicting!
ErosLikesGames I’ve never played a Dragon Quest game, nor have I tried Minecraft. I bought DQB2 because I’ve been vacationing in the mountains for a couple months, and thought it’d make a nice time killer late at night, lying in bed. I have been enjoying it immensely. It’s kind of cheesy and cutesy, but I love taking my time, exploring, and getting creative with my constructions. Very easy to relax and play. It’s a bit like Stardew Valley, I really liked that game.
DQB2 and this game are currently eating up all of my free time! There's enough in both of them to hold me over until Spyro release and Link's Awakening.
Well, as there is still zero updates for it, they shouldn’t have even released it on the switch. It’s been almost one year and it’s been ignored. Yet there’s update after update for the pc version. Shame on the developer
Eclipse The Gambling Ocelot all the console versions are behind in updates. Developer had an AMA on Steam and said the consoles will be getting all updates soon.

I think they're both worth a buy! But if you're looking for something that's less of a time sink, Forager is it!

Stardew Valley + Terraria + Zelda?! I'm in!!
The first time i played this on switch a week ago, i spent 14 hrs straight playing. Ive been afraid to play it since lol. Its like stardew but never a dull moment, and you dont have to sleep. In some ways i like stardews more relaxed atmosphere but this game is really addicting, even if im already lvl 44 out of 64. Its fun and worth it imo even if it might not be longer then 20/30 hrs
Great game, new pc patch is pretty good, looking forward to it on switch.
Hmm with no storyline it seems a lot like Minecraft on a smaller 8bit scale
On handheld, it has major frame issues, late game i might add. Oh and you get a drone, unplayable

Not necessarily. I enjoyed that this game didn't take up as much time for grinding!

Someone, please help. There was supposedly a miner npc and a giant crystal. I have every island, but no giant crystal or miner. Help!
Whattt?! I definitely had that one too. Are you sure you're not missing an island? It's part of winter biome and the winter biome contains 10 total islands.

Hey guys I've been looking for something similar like Factorio for the Nintendo Switch. Is there anything available? I played Drill Down on Android - yes thats exactly what I'm looking for. DO NOT BUY THIS ON SWITCH, OR ANY CONSOLE. PC version is the only one with all of the updates. The console ports have been left behind.
