*IDEA* An island that is 3x3 (the amount of one scoop) and you could still surround it with about 30 light hauses, 50x30 is 1300% increase plus 100% bicouse amulets. P.S I'm really not sure if you could do more lighthouses or biger land to maximise your earnings maybe it could get you up 20levels per scoop? The possibilities are endless!
I usually go for the skill that lets you eat minerals, then you can use stones for energy instead of food. Always plenty of that around with all that mining.

I just tried this trick myself. It really, really works. Like, stupidly well. Especially if you go to the trouble to get the Royal Shovel, since that makes unholy-huge quantities of ore spawn with every shovelful too (meaning no need for quarries). With the Robotic Shovel (should you deign to get the southern islands unlocked to access the bugs necessary) and the Necro Rod, plus the Druid Sword or better, you will never want for any resources ever again.

When playing forager I've actually found you can get a fair bit of sand from fish traps, plus fish have like 16 hp which is pretty useful
