I’m a retired truck driver and have ran that very same route hauling groceries from Indianapolis to HyVee distribution in Cherokee, Ia. Always enjoyed that run. It’s a low stress run if you’re not fighting weather. Always did drop and hook in Cherokee. The people there at HyVee in Cherokee are great. I’ve also Parked there over night and they don’t mind. I’ve also hauled a lot of loads out of Sioux City, Iowa. Ran reefers hauling Tyson meat out of Dakota City, Ne.. I was based out of LeMars, Iowa and hauled lots of ice cream out of Blue Bunny in LeMars. Enjoy your channel.

I lived in Northern IL for 12 years. I moved back to SC in 2013. I can say I honestly don't miss the snow. Glad you made it safe.
The weather this winter has been very strange and not in a good way. LED lights do make some heat so they should stay pretty clear. Glad you made it through the worst of it and ended with a nice sunset. Enjoy some time home with the family. Stay safe and God bless.

Oh my gosh I could hardly watch this video! My stomach is in knots right now. All that driving in the snow and those roads. I was on the edge of my chair peeking between my fingers. Lol. My German Shepherd Dog cross liked to "help" me shovel snow. It was her job to catch every shovelful I threw.
Believe me I get it about that 35 mph in Ice and snow. 42 years OTR here. Retired last year. Stacked up a truck in Minnesota in October 93 in that blizzard. First accident after13 years. It teaches you a shit load of respect for ice and wind.

Hi Ope in Kitchener last night we got 15 inch the good white snow. school are close and it was a good time at home. Friday night is at 16 of and Saturday is at -8 it will fell like. Tell you need your boots on it will to cold or water boots. Have safe trip and tell brother it cold. bye from a little boy

When saw the posting knew you weren't among the ones laying on their sides and was glad. Thank you for gorgeous IL storm footage,made me smile the whole way for the beauty as I knew you were ok. In Danville went from rain to sleet real fast and got 1 in of that then about 2 in of snow where they had predicted 6 in. Glad you have your weather/nav/dad, when son drove I did that function and feel sorry for young drivers who don't have that support.Have a great rest

There are times I wish I followed my dad into trucking ( he drove over 35 yrs after WW2) and then I see what you guys deal with everyday and I’m happy I had an office job after retiring from the Army

I unloaded and reloaded north of Indy Thursday AM. I shot up 65, little bit of rain by Remington then dry roads all the way to Sioux Falls.
I drove 74 that day as well must have been earlier than I as the ice didn't start until le roy and switched to snow north of bloomington on 39 got to south beloit and only a flurry came down a few hours after I travelled 39 there was a hundred vehicle pile up down by el paso il good job
Wardens got a big blimpy burger waiting 4 u lol

Great appreciation to you drivers who do it in the snow, I had to go to Haleakala Crater to lowboy a water truck down, told NPS is ain't happening, it's frozen, rent one from us for your bird sanctuary, call us when it thaws, kudo to you fellow truckers in the states!
We love the Iowa 80, stopped there many times. Bought my most recent CB there, slept in the RV parking and visited the truck museum, well worth it and free😎

You were in my neck of the woods so to speak. About 1 1/2 south of Champaign, we really got hammered yesterday. A lot of ice. Amazing what 24 hrs does for things. Sun was out all day and melted all that bad stuff away. Enjoy your home time.

I tried snow docks worked great for one time maybe 3 hrs no good after that around dead mans curb i84 Oregon but had chains didn’t half to use them though cool dog by the way nice ride to.
You're lucky that you don't need chains. I'm sure your roads are in a lot better shape than they are here in Washington. Our roads are so tore up, with potholes and low spots, You can go through a set of shocks in no time. In a truck, it is worse in some place's due to the constant cold and ice in the winter. Like driving on washboard. Enjoy a few days off. It was well deserved.

Talk about snow storms. I got caught in one Monday in Wyoming. Forced to shutdown 30 miles west of rawlings. They didn't open the road till noon the next day. My pitbull likes snow but she didn't want nothing to do with -33 wind-chill
I was in Punta Arenas, Chile for a year building a Methanol Plant. The most southern city in the world. Antarctic. We ran spicked tires in the winter, and ran 65+ with no problem on my Nissan four-wheel-drive pick up!
What brings in the most views is when the trucker hits a pot hole then looks left and seees his trailer passing him. now lets see u do that.
