It's The Onam Day and we are here with our 4th Vlog i.e. Onam Celebration with Team Sooryagayathri.
Onam is an annual harvest festival celebrated in Kerala. A major annual event for Keralites, it is the official festival of the state and includes lots of activities and more of fun, laughter, happiness and positivity. Drawing from Hindu mythology, Onam is the time when King Mahabali visits his Kingdom every year after he was sent to Patal Lok by Lord Vishnu.
Join us for an incredible journey where you will see Onam Celebrations taking place with lots of music by Sooryagayathri & her family members along with her friends. For those who are new to Onam festival, It would be an enriching & knowledgeable experience.

Wow... A very short and brief visual presentation of Onam and It was so nostalgic. The very essence of Onam is reflecting in each and every second of this video. There were many more traditional events related to Onam. All those good days were faded away somewhere or at least confined to only some villages that also in confined form.
Happy to see the rituals of "Onapottan", as said it is not popular in South kerala. But "Kaikotti kali", "Thiruvathira kali"and many other Onam special art forms and games(eg "Tumpi thullal") are there in South kerala.
As today we watch in "Sooryakantham", let coming Onam be the celebration of happiness, well-being and togetherness.
