Big up to all you guys for supporting one another...
Is that what that circle jerk was?? Support?
Lmfao, I was thinking about the same thing, and do you know what the app was on the laptop that was using to show all the info on system??
Crazy efficient subwoofer! Over 150 dB on less than 275 WRMS per driver. One of these will still perform well on almost any budget monoblock. A small monoblock on an SQL-15 and a small 4-channel powering components would be a very nice daily-driver setup. One huge positive is that factory/OEM electrical in most vehicles is gonna be capable of providing sufficient current for a small system like this!
That was amazing. Just two subs.
My AA 4.0’s are crying rn. Amazing job Derick!
Lol-ol-ol I've seen you guys use those tubes as jackstands and coffee tables damn near everything that needed a solid base under it around the shop and here they are back in action YeeYee!
Thats very impressive. Glad i have two SQL 12's sitting in my bedroom. Debating on what type of enclosure to build for them. Going in a Honda Civic. Im currently running two Pride M12 12's with an audio legion al2500.1 amp.
Video with the Stereo Integrity HST mk3’s next? They can handle even more power.
For $500 more and only double the RMS, it almost seems like the more thrifty idea to just run 3 of these... lol
Good call about the imagining. It's hard to balance at those SPL levels.
My first subs I bought were 2 stereo integrity 18s
wow! Are these the 1000 rms sql series? Impressive!
Damn youve been busy! That wrap looks sweet! And the imaging was great!
That's awesome I have 2 of those exact subs for my music room they sound awesome in small sealed box power with a xls 2002
What size box did you build.. and did you add bracing? I have a pair of SQL12s.. wanted to build as small as I could sealed ideally while still getting clean low bass. Powering with I think 1200watts each rms.
LOL Salt "12k" Gotta love Sundown.
I can't believe how under rated they are. When I seen the 4k test at 14.4 volts I was like 4k where? Mars or some shit. Nah I know. At 6 volts lol
Were those sealed enclosures?
Just awesome! got some beasts there Nick 😆👍🏻 you definitely know your system calling them #’s like that Derrick 😎
are you going to look into replacing the windshield and windows with a thicker glass/acrylic?
Who says SQ and SPL can't live in harmony? Tell Nick and Jacob that BigAl says howdy.
Howdy do from Texas...
sq in a box like this?? lmao
Arnt those subs supposed to have 4 cubic feet of air space for the enclosure? How is the truck considered the enclosure?
That’s insane. Two subs on how much power?! Wow!
Hey derrick where can I get some of the Sundown wrap?? That would look cool inside my ports in my boxes
What I think is those salt amps are dope. Not a bad amp indeed.
SI stuff is always sick. I expected these to do well. I still need a second HT-18!!!
Brah.
Where can i get some sundown unofficial wrap??
And that is why I have sundown subs
I'm about to get a single zv5 15
@@BenaresDarkness saving up to import four of them and and Sound digital 12k gonna be a none walled vehicle.
these are not sundown subs tho. Stereo Integrity SQL
Gotta get me some of them face decals..wrap looks badass.
those are bad ass subs they took a lot of power
Make daily videos of the life of sundown
I respect the engineering and the ingenuity involved, but I do not understand the this whole non-musical burp for SPL. I know its a hobby, I just don't understand the money and work involved in transforming an entire vehicle into basically a huge speaker enclosure just to hear a bmmmmmmm for 2 seconds.
Agreed, my daily driver gets to 160 on music and mids and highs to match. This is dumb.
well climbing mount everest is more stupid.....this is a "hobby" for the guys that were not "cool" in high school.....now out of high school and NOT getting bullied by the 6'8" 300 pound 12th graders..they can be "cool"...and ya its "cool"...these guys by the way are PROFESSIONAL... they make money and get paid and sell stereos and speakers, so it helps the business
Truth the competitions should rules should be you have to play for at least 60 seconds and play at least 4 different frequency's 10hz apart during the minute.
This is what SPL competitions do. The goal is to get the loudest measured in SPL. The numbers on the laptop is the SPL level. They play the frequency that the cabin of the vehicle resonates the loudest at. Even some of the "cool" kids in high school compete, not just the "uncool" kids.
@@veelink6345so musical runs?
I’m saying 167 on 14k before they blow
Will it be another obsidian audio?
Obsidian was a budget brand, stereo integrity is definitely a premium brand.
Miss my obsidian 15s but hopefully soon I'll have two of these SI 15s ;)
152.5 on the 💰
When are the utv speakers coming out? And how much will they cost?
I want to see 170 with six subs at 45 hz , can you do it?
My boii geo
Dang this Is well fitted to the cab !
How many click you got on deck left when you asked? 170dB
How do we get that wrap? 🤔
How much difference does it meter when you go from the glass to the kick ?
Every vehicle varies, and depending on freq., optimized per meter Location. On average, going from sealed on the glass, to meter in the passengers kick, and driverside door open, or window down, you can gain 1 to 3.5 Db. Extreme cases, can be more or less. But a 2 to 3Db gain is the most common i have seen.
Hell yea
If i stuff my shallow mount SD 12s with polyester fiber will i get more bass?
Goood job major upgrade from the original look
I know you're just burping the subs fow a couple seconds at a time but holy shit those are stout subs doing over 10x the there rms
I may be slow on this but what are you using on the laptop
Wait, just looked this stuff up. The HST-mkIII looks strikingly familiar since I own a ZV5-18! I wonder if this is a Sundown subsidiary!
❤ Thanks for all the good videos. I have the salt 8 on the custom built zv6/NSV5 soft parts. @Apex. I’ve never seen demos on 2 15’s this intense. I have the nsv5 15’s but I don’t think they will do what these will. Plz tell me what u think. Thanks a lot to the team for building me the perfect subs.
Your subwoofers are much better than the ones in this video, for spl. If your subwoofers were in the ideal enclosures/tubes, and used in this blazers enclosure, they would be louder!
I just have one question? Why is yhe ambient noise level between 90 and 100db between runs? Seems like it would be lower but maybe i am missing something.
Its a workshop so yeah
When he opened the door U can hear him say. " Little bit of feed back noise".
Awesome!
👍🏻😀👍🏻
You swapped for 2 15s? Try the sa v2s while your in there
Those drivers are so conservatively rated it's practically a joke.
Is 1000w RMS from a Jl enough to properly power a sql12?
@@Mike-qo4kphonestly yes 750 is a laughable rms from their page if you can do like 2K.
Clearly this video is for burp enthusiasts only. I personally would be more interested in seeing what they score on music. Still impressive outcome from this test.
Hey Jacob or derrick. I really want the zv6 whens it coming out?!?!?!
Impressive, most impressive. I want that wrap.
Dude, is the whole truck the enclosure?
I need some of those sundown face stickers
What type of box is that
How many amps did it pull?
Hello! I'm a new commentarist on your channel, but i've been subscribe such a good time ago and i have a HUGE question for my personal project... "If i make that type of box enclousure with 2, 3 or 4 TREO Power 12 inches, can i make it sound with the daily music in my 1990 VW Bug? (I mean all the genres). Please text me back, i'll appreciate so much if you did
If you wire them at the appropriate ohms and amp adjustments then they should play anything no problem
no.... that box is is a 1 note wonder....you need a big box with a vent
Can you put 2 d4 sa v2 15s in the yardsale so I can run 6 please lol
Thats crazy!
Tutorial on making Tubes please!
Watch him make the tubes in the project spl playlist...
@@dennycote6339 oh thanks.
Background noise is 98.5~100.5dB? That looks pretty high. Maybe I'm misreading that meter's measurement that shows just before the SPL test starts...
No you are not, that seems loud for any environment. I smell something funny and it ain't voicecoil.
I was thinking exactly the same. That's like a dark room where the enclosures are. Yeah it's in a vehicle alright. But the vehicle's inside a freaking warehouse for Christ's sake. With not much people but a bunch of beer drinkers
Whats your box ratio and what is the port tuned at if you dont mind me asking boss
He is too much of a snob to converse with people with genuine questions, he thinks he is special.
Miller time...ehhh
Cheers ...with my Alien IPA...!!
drinking on the job and gotta drive home get em boys!
Boot licker says what?
@TRUE WORDS don't drink! and i bet your paycheck he is driving he looks like he has a car and he's the owner he's definitely driving wasn't born 3min ago buddy!
You can have a beer or 2 and drive. That is no big deal. Also how do you know he is driving. You assume to much. Maybe he is riding with his wife.
@@outsane1 randy im not crazy he looks like a chugger! dead give away ask him how many bar fights he's had at least 5! and i don't see his lovely wife bless her heart leave her out of it!
very cool
Why Stereo Integrity subs? So you know what your competition is doing?
Put them subs in both ends of them box invert 1
162.9 just because it always is where u can't get that extra tenth
Any 8in subs in the near future
i like when you do your videos alone...they was destracting as hell
Those stereo integrity subs for sale. I need something my car got stolen and took everything even the wire all my tools were in there too it's all gone
10:10 101V & 85.88A = 8,674 Watts according to Ohm's Law, right? But meter shows 9,103W. 🤔
ya..that correct.. about 15% off range....a dmmultimeter is always very accurate that db drag meter shit is crap....ohms law is correct..and R.M.S.
@@lunam7249 False. "that db drag meter shit" is just a dmm running to term-lab... It is just as accurate as any dmm..because it IS a dmm. Reading comprehension or not bothering to actually watch the video is your issue here. The measurements in the term-lab window for volts, amps, and watts, are MAXIMUM AMOUNT for each individual value measured during the test...not the measurements all taken together at one specific moment in time, as you seemed to be assuming the measurements were all reflecting the specific moment wattage peaked.
one the plus side, thats an awful lot of wattage!!! and very good speakers, taking it!!😛😛😛😸😸🤓
Notice anyone drinking Light beer or Diet Coke are never skinny. Food for though.
The boss was drinking lite
@@iChubbs_81 He is not skinny.
Are those ported or sealed enclosures ?
Sealed and there doing short Burps/Bursts.
Wow
Damn !
And to think I'm gonna have 12 of the 12s on two 8ks. My poor car
162.5 on that salt 12 no more
🤘🤘
162.3 no more.
I will never ever ever understand burp builds. I respect that you're having fun and breaking limits, but I will never understand it. IMO a complete waste of a vehicle, wood, speakers, amps, time, and effort. If it ain't music, it's just a noise, and if you wanna make loud noises there are much cooler and easier ways to do so. Like shooting guns, setting off fireworks, train/ship horns, or drag racing.
I'm curious what you think they can do in a music build. I have an 09 single cab Ranger that I want some tunes in, but there's literally ZERO space for subs. I want an SQ-ish 3 way component front stage with DSP that can keep up with a 150db sub stage. And I want said sub stage to dig into the upper to mid 20hz range without taking up more than a 16.5x40x36 space (half my bed) for a blow through. And due to the height restriction of 16.5, I'm probably limited to 12" dimensionally subs unless you think I can fit 15s on an angle. I also don't want to spend more than about 1000 on the subs, whether that's 1, 2, 3, or 4 of them, and I also just DON'T want to mess with more than 4 subs in general.
Any idea what you think I should build? I like the crisp sound to every cycle in a given frequency that sealed and sealed-adjacent (4th order, front horn, IB) boxes give, and there is no way to effectively seal a sub cone to the bulkhead/wall of my bed, so it'll have to be some kind or port-through rather than a cut-through given that the max height of the cut hole is gonna be on the order of about 8"-10" (So realistically, I'm probably stuck with either a 4th or 6th order bandpass of some sort, or maybe some weird quasi-infinite baffle bass reflex box)
166.2
🔊🔊🔊👍👍👍
163
damn for real though. 24k? no funny stuff happening still?
Sale me the stereo integrity subs I'm going crazy without subs
One note wonder, can't play for three minutes straight. Prove it, or not.
No sub is playing 12x it's rated power for 3 minutes straight.
@@BenaresDarkness this guys a newb probaly a SPL build is made for one loud note
@@BenaresDarkness That is my point, it can't.
@@jayden974 No shit, doesn't change the fact it can only play for a few seconds at a time.
@@BenaresDarkness Yeah I get that, my comment still stands. Either he can play 160 db for 3 minutes or he can't. At any frequency above 20hz.....
