      Is “ Royal Blue” simply Ultrmarine and Titaium? There are a number of mixtures on the internet and at the same time I don’t find Gambling or others offering a “ Royal Blue”

    • @billyholly
      @billyholly 2 года назад

      @@rightthere6550 It does depend upon what country and/or line of paints you have available. Try to mix it with the colors you mentioned. I think the main thing is to avoid a "clean" blue, maybe with a tiny smidge of green or red?

    Would you be willing to dedicate a video to just "Detailiated" techniques? By the way, great word. :) Your land and sky scapes are absolutely beautiful, but it's your subtle finesse of details that bring your paintings alive. For example: The glow behind a tree, a few bright highlights at the top of bushes, etc......
    Thank you again for sharing all your amazing talent.

    Hello Master Stuart, I've been following your channel for a while and of course I've already subscribed. I love channels where I have the feeling that it is primarily about the topic and not about making as much money as possible. You approach the matter with so much passion, creativity and experience and share your wonderful work with us. It's just a pleasure to watch you at work and to follow your thoughts. That's why I want to thank you very much.
    I particularly like that you paint so casually and freely and let your creativity run free.
    I am now 53 years old and have never painted. I have no idea why I've been interested in oil painting for a few months. All I know is that I've been interested in painting for some time. At my age, I already had a number of jobs and gained a lot of experience, including creative jobs. I have been dealing with intellectual issues for most of my life. Not long ago I decided to paint some of my really remarkable dreams. Some of those dreams are still vivid in my mind, even though it was many years, if not decades, ago. I don't know why that is. It's going to be a long road to learn and implement. And I think your unique help will help me a lot. To put it in your words, 'I hope that makes some sense'. Thank you for being there for people like me. Your work is wonderful. :-)

    That sky is fantastic. In fact, you’ve just helped me solve how to create more boldness & interest in a sky Ive partially painted on a landscape done portrait style, that looks rather boring, but I was sort of stuck as to how to liven it up. Thank you!
    I would def watch your, “part two videos.” l like to see how you do the finishing touches, & it’s helpful for learning 😊.
    P.S. I’m glad you have a 🦎 security system in place 🐱

    I lived in France for a couple of monts. I was there (Domaine du Sablou) to work as a blacksmith and tracktor driver. And i've seen sky's like this almost every evening. I like this painting. And on the drone footage i saw a tracktor and a hay trailor and hay bales in the field and a couple of building roof tops. Just a couple of these kind of things could make a painting just more interesting. But if it's too much it could destroy a painting. Knowing when to stop is a good thing. And while on topic if you ever would think the painting didn't work pls don't hide it away but just show it to us. Because too me that would take away some of the exiting thrills of painting. When you already know the painting is gonna work out well then where is the fun? If you, one day show us an epic failure (in your eyes) that is interesting to see, then the next painting video is gonna be exiting. Because we don't know for sure what is going to happen :D I want to feel it, watching you paint the painting. My English is not verry good so this is the best i can explain it really. I love seeing you paint and to hear you say "hmm why not" And i know there issn't a real epic failure. I hope next year to go to France again. Whatching the sun set, smoking my own made pipe or perhaps my 1930's WDC Wellington pipe with no worries at all and a glass of sweet red wine.
    Greetings from the Netherlands,, Kitty.

    I enjoy your comments, although it also occurs to me that sometimes trying to explain why one thing works and another doesn't is like trying to explain the inexplicable...some things are simply intuitive, no thought required...even accidental as you often point out.
