I had an issue with the (33gal) fuel tank skid plate making contact with the drivers side rear UCA relocation bracket. I had to remove the left rear hanging bracket for the skid plate, cut off the corner of the skid plate, and drill a new mount hole through the skid plate for the mount. After double checking all my work, and trimming the skid plate, this caused me a good two hours extra work.
We offer the kit a few ways, the basic options retains the factory strut/coil up front and uses a strut spacer where our performance kits swap over to the FOX 2.5 coilover assembly. In the rear all our kits for the factory rear coil sprung RAM 1500s use a replacement progressive rate coil spring and upgraded shocks where as the trucks equipped with factory air ride use strut/airbag spacers all the way around to retain the adjustable air ride suspension functionality.
We estimate this install to take a skilled shop around 10hrs with the right tools/hoist. More info on the kit, install time/difficulty, and step-by-step instructions at bds-suspension.com/product?ma=2&mo=16&ty=99&yr=2019-2022
Our kit wouldn't affect the cameras, but not knowing what if any other mods were made at the same time it's hard to diagnose why. Have you checked with the installer?
If you’re mechanically inclined sure. As long as you have all the tools and space. I’ve seen quite a few videos of guys doing them on their own. But it does take a while. Especially if it’s your first one or you’re dealing with any sort of rust. Some guys end up taking 8 hours or more because they’re leaning as they go. Doable but if you don’t have the time or patience to spread the work out over a few days like some guys do then you’re better off spending a few hundred to have someone install it. IMO anyways. What’s $300 when you’re already spending potentially $2500 for a good lift kit?
@@Jay-hp6pu if it was only a few hundred, I’d never install my own lift kits. Most shops charge $100+ an hour for labor. I was quoted over $1,000 by two different shops. For that reason, I just did it myself. But I’m fortunate enough to have access to a lift and all the necessary tools.
Great video! Clear, informative pertinent information and no fluff. 💪
Thanks for the video. I'm going to be ordering this kit, or the 4inch for my 21 ram in about a month. Thanks again, from NJ...
Great video and hello from Canada 🇨🇦

Great video and hello from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Very informative even though I only did a 3.5 front and 3 rear. Thank you for all the advice
When you reconnect a track bar do you put the bolt through the top hole or the bottom hole on new driver side mount?
Sorry I have the Zone Offroad one it looks like that bracket only has one mounting hole for the track bar mine has two
Factory coils re used? Did I miss something?

What size and kind of wheel
set up the black ford have? In the back ground ?
I just got this lift kit, did you guys add a new brake line that we have to install as well for the newer kits?
We include a pair of front SS brake lines with this kit. In the rear it uses brake line extension brackets.
How long did it take To install this kit without the extra filming and stuff like that.

Well you guys ever do one but for a 2003 dodge ram a quad cab.. want to take it to Mexico and have fun. Get it fixed up and know i habe a amzing setup
how cone no more upper control arm option? i used it before with coil overs for a little more lift in front.. worked great..
There is still an option to purchase UCAs.
I installed the lift kit but now my camera not working.. any idea why?

does this install differ from a 4th gen ram?
👍Thanks for the help.
Do you feel this install can be done by someone with good mechanical knowledge even though I have never done one before?

Lubricate the sachet for easy installation💥
I wish Ram would have stuck a solid front axle in these trucks maybe like a Dana 44 or 60 even , that IFS crap is garbage
They do, it's called the power wagon. The ride is significantly superior with ifs
What do you torque the tie rod end nut to? (The nut under the knuckle that holds the tie rod end into place?
I don't think mechanics torque anything anymore they just use an air gun and call it good.....smh
So this kit does not require frame cutting?
The kit does require trimming the OE LCA pockets, its outlined around @13:30 in the video
Is this install just for the rebel or is it the same for all 5th gen 1500 models?
It should be for all 5th Gen RAM 1500 models.
Same process for the 4" kit?
Basically the same thing just different strut spacer
Front brake lines seem tight.
we use relocation brackets with this kit which allows sufficient slack at full droop of the suspension.
Thank you.!!
“Now you first step is to put your truck up on the hoist and take your tires off”. When the hell did I get a hoist?!?
On God
Nice video.
I’d hate to have cut up a brand new truck to fit a lift. I’ll stick to a 3.5” lift
Whatever. Old truck, new truck. It’s just a truck. What’s the difference?
codydonovan7356.. I'm not really wanting to cut up my truck either because there is no going back to stock if you ever wanted or needed to.
He said "DODGE RAM"
Old habits die hard.

You have to be a NASA engineer to install this.
Nah, Space X engineer
