one thing they can do with this bike is integrate the water bottle into the frame to distribute the waters weight and well as making it more aero dynamic. a camel pack sort of tube can be installed near the handle bars and retracted to take a drink.
These bikes are designed and built for professional cyclists. They look for any small advantage they can find. So while saving 20 seconds over 10K may not sound like much to the casual rider, to a professional it could be all the difference.
thats what I was thinking, that would be great. I have issue with running out of breath and needed to drink while Im pedaling trying to keep up. with that system I dont need to try to reach for my drink. just suck it from my straw on the handlebar. that would be awesome.
Stable? I had two high speed wobbles on my S5 at over 40 mph. This bike isn't stable at all. It has very fidgety handling. I replaced the bike with a super six evo and haven't had a problem since. The super six evo doesn't feel nearly as fast in the flats unfortunately.

You can't shape those alloys like you can carbon. If you were a bike nerd, you'd know that. In regards to price, there is more to a bike than just the frame so to say 'alloy and steel shouldn't exceed a few hundred dollars' is once again bollocks. Wheels, saddles, breaks, gears, shifters all add up. You want to spend a few hundred bucks on a bike? Check out Walmart and see how much you like riding those POS.
I must say that bikes on the whole are overpriced, and over hyped, drawing parallells to the complexity of cars and other vehicles may sound good, but really it's all marketing. Bikes especially alloy and steel in the whole shouldn't exceed a few hundred dollars, additionally why is it that they never make alloy or steel bikes that are as esthetically pleasing as their carbon counterparts, it's all marketing and greed. I should be able to purchase a allow TT bike for $500.
I bought a second hand S5 2016, just got it, I love it, for only 2000 usd, the person did not like biking, so I took it over :-))
Just brought home my S5 Rival, its a beauty, can't wait to ride her!

I wonder how the Cervelo S5 compares to the BMC TMR01. The TMR01 is stunning.
I want this bike! Super six got to go and S5 has to enter. It has more room in the cockpit than my 63 cm super six!

@techno2b I owned the S2 as well and have test ridden the s5. It is WAY better than the S2, more comfortable/aero/stiffer as well.
Win win win
Sorry for the confusion, I was referring to saving/improving race time over kilometer distances not 'K' as in thousands of dollars price...

I would buy a steel or Ti TT frame for sure.
Wilier Cento Uno Force C2
Or
Cervelo S5 Rival
??????
At 1:42 I thought I saw a mono fork. IT took me few moments to realise it was the other rider's rear wheel.

You should start producing them.

Once you hit 5 grand, the performance of the bikes doesnt change, you just pay for the brand
