      Lean Fox it isn’t hard because its just a 2x2x2. I can solve a mirror cube 3x3x3 ist just the same as a normal 3x3x3.

    For me I had to do the last algorithm around 10 times for it to actually solve

    For some reason every time i do the second algorithem i end up getting 1 side solved but the other is completly different. Ston Brothers plz help.

    I always end up with two of the top paper pieces as if they were taken and just moved to the side. The last algorithm does not work for me.

    whats the trick with the first algorithm? sometimes work and sometimes it doesnt. Is it something about the position of de last side?

    This is the best existing video currently on how to solve a 2x2 mirror cube. Kudos to @StonBrothers. The critical info contained here is the final algorithm. R' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R2
    Once you solve the thick layer manually (no algorithm), the big time-sink is laying all the thin layer cubies flat via yellow-side algorithm. Would like to see more guidance on improving this stage.
    Good job. Thanks for posting this video. It definitely is the BEST TUTORIAL on youtube for the 2x2 mirror cube.

    It took a few tries but I finally got it. It helped running the video at a quarter of normal speed.

    at the 3:15 part all of my pieces are not flat. Do I continue the algorithm. If so how do I hold the cube?

      Yes, you will have to do that algorithm up to 3 times, you can find a better explanation in my 2x2x2 cube tutorial

      Same got it like 4 times in a row then the next day I got it 1 time and then I solved it. I had to re-scramble it.

    I thank you so much I tried it one time it didn't work when I did second algorithm
    Then I tried from scratch again and it is completed without the second algorithm

    So I’m doing this exactly and when I do the last step instead of it solving it with has one piece or 2 pieces unsolved. How do I fix that? And yes I’m doing all the other steps correctly (or so i think)

    Thank you so much! I had one of these as a gift for my friend and my child got into it and mixed all up. This is the first 2x2 I've solved... so basically now I have to buy my friend a new one because I love this one lol kid ripped the box anyway 😅

    does it matter how the shapes are placed when you try to get them flat?

      Yes, if you have a flat one, put it in the bottom left hand corner of the top face and then do the algorithm

    Recently got into Rubik cubes. I bought a normal 2x2 cube that had an instruction. And a 2x2 mirror without one.
    So I could solve the normal one using the algorithms it came with but when I would try to solve the mirror one using that manual, the best I'd end up was the last stage and no further cause I couldn't find the final algorithm anywhere. Thank you for this video. When I get faster, I'll buy 3x3.😁

      That’s okay! The algorithm is just the order of moves that I told you about in the video. If you forget them, you can always refer back to the video. But if you repeat the algorithms about 10-20 times in a row, you should be able to just memorize it! Good luck!

      Prime means turn the face 90 degrees counter-clockwise - normally you would turn the face clockwise.

      Prime means turn the face 90 degrees counter-clockwise - normally you would turn the face clockwise.

    if you know how to solve a 2x2, shouldnt you be able to do it already? just adapt to it being shape/size instead of color?

      Yes, but things are slightly different and it may be harder for some to understand the differences that this cube presents
