I absolutely LOVE your rambling, over-explain away!!! I noticed that every time that you "over explain" anything, it's because it's something that is really important, so it's like, you really just want to teach people! And most people, if they hear important things over and over, then they are more likely to remember them later, when the time comes that they will really thank you for "over explaining"!! I know I sure do!! THANK YOU!!!
i agree!!! i prefer it because i’m the type of person that needs to reread something or re listen to something 100x to try to understand, and when you ramble and keep explaining i’m like “OH i get it now!”
Hey , I'm an hairstylist from Rome, Italy , and I wanted to let you know that with all your ideas, tips and explanations, I reeeeeeeally improved my foiling techniques ! I really enjoy watching your channel : so educational! Thank you for your videos ❤
What an improvement! You're a genius. It came out way brighter than I was expecting, and not green at all, which I was a little worried about. That Vibrance must be good stuff.
I don't understand this level 10 ash almost grey obsession in the last few years, natural blonde does have some beautiful yellow/golden tones. Looks so much more beautiful. Many clients don't suit that ashy cold blonde especially when they have beautiful warm-toned skin and eyes. It washed them out. I wish some clients would understand that very ashy tones don't suit everyone.! You did a fantastic job! Great video.

I would be pissing my pants worrying about it all grabbing too dark to the ends, but you crushed it!. I recently started using Guy Tang's wicked shadows 7 on damp hair for 5 minutes to cancel that brassy 7. It is just a toner, but sometimes you can't touch hair with bleach again. It's a green tone and there's enough blue to cancel the orange and enough green to cancel the red in the orange. I sheer it out with clear too.

Hey I’m a stylist from Scotland and your work is amazing I’m in love. Your taking me out of my old school ways and I’m loving it. I’m not long out of college so this is amazing for me ❤️
Its better,it does sound to me,and im no expert, that she or the hairdresser dyed it permanent red and then the client decided they hated it and bleached it a couple times, maybe bleach washed it,colour removed😊 or a combination of these.Thatd explain why that fine hair was so damaged on the already highlighted / balayaged parts🎉 excellent vid👌yout truly, miss Marple 😂
love and so appreciate your thorough analysis in decision making of the toning formula! especially , the result is right on! Question: since the olaplaex diluted the root formula so nicely (for the mid and end) .would some normal conditioner do the same (as a diluting agent)? Also, I have some igora vibrance 0-22 (booster) May I dilute that with some conditioner and cancel out orange on a 9/8 mixture hair ? or, I always have to mix it with a toner (9,5-1 for example)Thank you again!
Sometimes always having ponytails break your hair like that. I have seen it. Plus she need to use a little of something to help ur hair. I like a little bit of oil or in leaving conditioner spray at night but all depends what u likes
Just a note. Possible she has well water the orange in her hair at start looked more iron build up from well water. A Malibu treatment might have taken some of that out. Suggestion to other hairstylist coming across same orange / yellow on long hair. Well water will creat this.
Oh yeah, I have other clients who deal with this but I know where her location is, she's not on well cause I asked. I had that thought too from how brassy it was.
I’m shocked by the result. Like , when you said that you tone down her hair I said nooo, what’s the point damaging her hair with bleach if she needs to be toned down. However I know nothing about colouring so of course I was sceptical. My hair is like her 😢at the moment; I don’t know where I’m going from here. However the end result is just incredibly beautiful. Congrats! You are an artist!
Hey love! Soooooo my hair did the same as your clients and I think it has a lot to do with our hard water, I think it’s because it’s so rich in minerals and those minerals deposit and change the color to orange. Just a thought hope it helps. Love your videos!!! ❤
I coloured my hair yesterday and i turned out to be horrible. I m really upset can't get out of this trauma 😭😭😭😭 when can I redye that again and which color would go with my hairs if they are all blonde Ash kindof. So suggest me some 🥺
Shampoo whether it's for color treated (sulfate free) it still strips hair of the color. Apply conditioner on the hair trying to not get any on the scalp. Then apply shampoo to the roots and shampoo. The conditioner will protect the hair from the shampoo fading the color. The next time you shampoo just shampoo twice with conditioner. The first is like a wash the second is left on while bathing then rinse at the end.
@@hairbykristijennings6648 I have found the perfect toner for my brassy hair is redken shades eq 7n, 7p, 6n. Just a dap of 6n. It’s the only toner that works on my level 9 brassy orange hair.
Please tell me have you heard about toning brassy hair with blue black hair color I've seen a few videos on utube where they mix tablespoon of dye and table spoon of developer with sulfate shampoo , but the kicker is getting it in and out super quickly 🤔🙄😬 haven't did it myself but just wondering if anyone has tried it before hope it's okay to post this Kristi ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹💌
Hmmm.. looks like maybe she washes it too often, and maybe uses heat styling every time she washes? That could really explain half that damage, especially since if it doesn't lift past that orange, then there's no way the hair won't heal after so many months unless she's been flat ironing over and over the same strands for weeks on end, ya know? Sorry just started this video and I just had to pause and comment on that.. cuz I've had 40 vol used on my hair, and the only time in my life that it's broken off or looked THAT frazzled MONTHS later was when I was heavily flat ironing it, and going over the same strands too many times lol.. which I don't do anymore, but I know a lot of people do, and they think that heat protectant means that the hair is 100 percent protected, when that's not the case.
Ok so I just unpaused, and her hair doesn't look as bad as I had assumed, so maybe just disregard this comment? But then, maybe leave it up so others know that heat styling too often DOES do damage on bleached, already fragile hair, so maybe people will take longer breaks between using hot tools :)
When I saw the back of her hair, before kristi cut the ends off, I was thinking the same thing. People always want to blame lightener but what we saw here today is 💯 hot tool abuse and never getting a haircut.
The brazziness was definitely not done in a salon. What I believe happened here was she bought a supermarket brand and tried it herself. Due to the dark hair, it went brazzy
I agree. Especially the placement of the chunks of brass suggest that she did it herself or someone at home tried to do it for her with box color. It's an embarrassing thing to admit to your hairdresser so I understand why she wouldn't want to confess it.

I like the application brush that you are using. Are they at beauty supplies or a special purchase?
Hahaha at around 20 min or so, I love how you picked up that bottom section, looked at it, then dropped it like "NEVER MIND" and moved up lol..
Yep! Lmao never mind 😂😂😂
Can you do a 10p color on those ends to lift it brighter instead of bleach?
I personally wouldn't.... you could probably but I never buy high lift color. I feel like bleach gets the best lift
i love watching your vids!!!!!!
That makes me happy!!!
What was the toner that you used again please? X
2 questions. What kind of brush do you use for applications. And. How much are you charging for services like this? Also, I love your videos!
That's a framar brush! I love them! I would charge an hourly rate for correction..... $75-100 /hr
When my hair is toned it washes out in only a few washes. I use a color safe shampoo too. Do u have any recommendations for keeping in longer?
Shampoo whether it's for color treated (sulfate free) it still strips hair of the color. Apply conditioner on the hair trying to not get any on the scalp. Then apply shampoo to the roots and shampoo. The conditioner will protect the hair from the shampoo fading the color. The next time you shampoo just shampoo twice with conditioner. The first is like a wash the second is left on while bathing then rinse at the end.
There's so many factors..... agree with the above comment. If it's an ashy tone, that fades faster too.
