I’ve always thought that the Battery Tender chargers were top of the line, but there seems to be a lot of people with dead ones or ones that won’t drop down to trickle mode, commenting on these repair videos
The unit repaired in this video was my first Battery Tender product. I still use it to this day and I'm a firm believer in their technology. Maybe people encountering issues are not used to its super slow charge rate? Thanks for watching and 'Go team Battery Tender'! 👍😁

Mine just quit working. The cords looks good. Did not find a fuse inside. I wound up ordering a new one. I would still like to fix this one. Maybe a capacitor bad?
I'd carefully test power at the board with a multi-meter....I didn't visibly see my cord damaged until it shorted several times. It could be broken in a hard to see place. If it is getting power and it's not shorted to the case I would scrap it. I'm not well versed at diagnosing circuit boards. Thanks for watching! 👍😁
@@FlatThunder I think I found the issue. There are 2 circuit boards end to end in the middle of the PCB. The one in back under the transformer in cracked in half. I am trying to find it online. I will see if I can replace it. I have ordered another anyway. This one would be a spare for the riding mower. I like tinkering so hey why not? ;-)

I have that exact charger and it is dead. Got rained on. I think I will tear it apart, nothing to loose but time.

👍Orange wire nuts are good for that, no worries. Black and white make light and green to ground all year round.
