- Led Zeppelin's induction into the UK Hall of Fame in 2006.
The band's induction was presented by Queen's Roger Taylor.
Wolfmother played Communication Breakdown.
Roger Taylor of Queen really said it all and it's cool to hear it from a tremendous musician who himself and his band idolized Led Zeppelin and was not afraid for one minute to say they were what Hard Rock is all about...he mentioned the greatest drummer in history, JOHN "BONZO" Bonham, JOHN PAUL JONES on BASS, ROBERT PLANT ON VOCALS & JIMMY PAGE ON GUITAR...The Kings of Hard Rock!!! LED "FUCKING" ZEPPELIN!!!
"I sort of don't trust anybody who doesn't like Led Zeppelin"
I used to mention or say something about Led Zeppelin and they would be somebody there they suck and I would get a sick feeling in my stomach I would think I don't like that fucker you know. So if you are a Zeppelin fan Mr White is correct.
@@markmace2113 me neither
@@markmace2113 I mean I don't trust anyone who don't like Zeppelin
@@garyunsworth726 1973 8 yrs old Zeppelin fan .. Agreed no trust.
Roger Taylor praising Led Zeppelin - no surprise at all. He told it like it was - Led Zeppelin were pioneers - in many ways - so many ways. No one can take that away from them - whether people know it or not.
I don't trust anybody who doesn't like Led Zeppelin as well...
My favourite bands, Queen and Led Zeppelin..
Just amazing, and I totally agree with Jack White..
"I kinda don't trust anybody that doesn't like Led Zeppelin"
Roger is so well spoken
" let me put it this way, can u imagine music without led zeppelin? because i know i cant"
I'm one of those lucky guys who got to see Zeppelin in their prime 4 times. Best of memories. I have met many celebrities one on one. Got a Christmas card from Elvis Costello and hugs from Diana Krall memories that I treasure for sure, but nothing compares to a Led Zeppelin concert. They were pretty special. WOW!
"...and they had the son of Devil on guitar..." Now, that's a beautiful statement to make from someone who worked closely with Paul Rodgers.
Quality men and musicians never to be seen again ever, there is NOBODY can replace these gentlemen
Roger Taylor could actually sing this himself, even into his 50s
Great Roger !
Queen and Led Zeppelin!!! sooooooo cooooooool!!!
Best Band ever.
"They don't make bands like this anymore" DAMN RIGHT!!
1:40 "they don't make bands like this anymore..." the most truthful thing i have heard
you are so right. playing Led Zeppelin in front of rock and roll superstars. that is immense pressure
So true. Just listen to the bass at Good Times Bad Times and you can simply say: "This is the most complicated song in the world".
Little did the crowd know at the time that a year later Led Zeppelin would reform with Jason Bonham on drums at the O2 as a tribute to Ahmet
Jack White - "I sort of don't trust anyone who doesn't like Led Zeppelin."
Works for me!
Only recently I even heard little Aussie pop princess Gabriella Cilmi state that Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant are her biggest idols and influence/inspiration.
Zeppelin's influence spreads through rock, folk, rap/hip hop, metal, dance and pop. Just open your ears and listen mate.
Also Shakira was even influenced by Led Zeppelin
wow that was really cool. i am rly glad they gave zeppelin the credit they deserved by saying they broke as many boundaries as the beatles because its very true. zeppelin in my opinion is the most diverse influential rock band of all time. each member were masters of their craft, and their will never be another zeppelin. RIP Bonham
Led Zeppelin is the cherry on top of the music cake and it's a bloody big cherry
A Queen member talking about led Zeppelin? What is life?
ikr
Freddie and Robert were good mates and, it's been said that Freddie's performances and on-stage persona at the beginning were vastly influenced by Robert.
..in the end, Plant performed Innuendo at Freddie's Tribute Concert in 1992 :/
"performed"
Beatrice B like Freddie " performed " the immigrant song
They all love each other! Good Musicianship
"" LZ influenced a lot of the hard rock heavy metal crowd""
Zeppelin's influence spread way beyond that. Wyclef Jean said he doesn't know a single rap or hip hip producer than doesn't nick from Zeppelin. Musically John Bonham's drums are more omnipresent and have a longer legacy than anything the Beatles ever did.
The list of non hard rock artists who Zep inspired/influenced is endless, from Madonna and Lady Gaga to Katie Melua, Tori Amos, Joan Armatrading, Prince, Jeff Buckley etc
There are people who don't like Led Zeppelin?!?!
Yes and their not people, they're aliens who live under Rick's their whole miserable existence.
Led Zeppelin gave birth to bands like Black Sabbath, Queen, Rush, Aerosmith,
The coolness of roger taylor coming out to the podium, the girl in the audience star struck and the guy screaming yea roger when he starts talking a true rockstar
Why oh why does everyone insist on comparing the Beatles, the Stones and Led Zeppelin? All three vastly different genres, approach to music, and outcomes.
Not so much comparing the styles as much as the impact. Don’t forget all three are rock bands and all three are legends but only one of those three had the biggest impact in Rock and the world and that bamd was the Beatles.
it's like the same but different I think led had a bigger impact on rock. Their second album set the bar for how a perfect hard rock album must be made. And bands like GNR and Aerosmith followed. But the Beatles had a greater impact on music overall.
it's really amazing to hear Iommi saying that he can't imagine music without Zeppelin. He's totally fuckin right
yeah, that was one of the best cover I've heard. That godsmack rendition of "good times bad times" makes my stomach hurt.
Jack White " I kinda don't trust anybody that doesn't like Led Zeppelin" Me too Jack mee too.
Its so funny how big Led Zeppelin's music is and then Jimmy Page comes up and his just the most humble soft spoken guy.
Best comments Tony Iommi 5:17 Let's put in this way Can you imagine MUSIC with out Led Zeppelin? Cause I can't.
Jack White 5:36 I sorta don't trust anybody who doesn't like Led Zeppelin.
Kiefer 4:27 created a real fan base with out real radio support just base on their
albums wow !
QUEEN AND LED ZEPPELIN AAAHHH same roger, i fucking love led zeppelin
ZEP THE GREATEST BAND EVER
ah, so humble
The MAGNIFICENT .... LED ZEPPELIN !!!!
is just taht simple... god-like band
Led Zeppelin have been every bit as influential on rock music as The Beatles. I happen to love them both but I consider Zep the greatest rock band that ever stepped on a stage. A first rate top quality documentary told properly by those who understand Zep's absolutely unique brilliance, has yet to be made. The few that are out there are spotty and amateurish. Led Zeppelin and their everlasting enormous fan base deserve better.
I too cringe when people compare or put the Beatles and Zeppelin in the same category. Led Zeppelin is heavy metal for God's sake. Early Beatles, "she loves you" "I wanna hold your hand"??? Pure fluff and I love the Beatles but they are not hard rock. More like soft pasta. Lol.
Marilyn Catalano Really? Ozzy Osborne says hearing She Loves You the first time changed his life. They were one of Robert Plant’s major influences. And the Who’s. And Queen’s. And Nirvana’s. And Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Motörhead, Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Iron Butterfly.... well, everyone, really.
The Beatles were revolutionary. The road they forged from 50s rocknroll, thru their early 60s pop and into their incredible Sergeant Pepper period and afterwards was unprecedented.
The anticipation for their albums and the astonishment which their work provoked are difficult to explain to someone who has only lived in the musical world they created.
Fluff? Some people think the Beatles invented metal with Helter Skelter and Why Don’t We Do It In the Road.
You’re entitled to your opinion, but most of the great acts that followed them strongly disagree with you. Including LZ and Sabbath.
Maybe you just haven’t heard enough of their work. Odd to dismiss the Beatles on the basis of only two of their earliest songs.
It’s important to understand that the distinction between rock, pop, metal etc, didn’t exist in the 60s, or even much of the 70s. Applying those categories to a 1960s band is ahistorical.
the thing that makes Bonzo different then others is the fact that he FELT his drums and his sound, his music came from the heart, he never tried to be different or tried to create cheesy stuff, he just practiced like crazy e had the best intuition for sound ever to appear on earth
impossible ... it's absolutely impossible not to like LZ ... the best ever !!!
nordhorny Queen is not even a little close to the brilliance of Led Zeppelin. Sure they were amazing, but they’re nowhere near as good
whoa i didn't know the drummer from queen is a fan of Led Zep, awesome
"I mean, like, I sort of don't trust anybody who doesn't like Led Zeppelin. You know what I mean?"
Jack White says it all, right there. Amen, brotha!!!
hell yeah...zeppelin and sabbath///they are like my religion...i cant imagine music without zep and sabbath
Mr Tony Iommi "can you imagine music without led zeppelin, because I cant" - Let it be known to all zeppelin and sabbath fans fighting about whose better that even Iommi listens to zep BTW I like sabbath more but still zeppelin is amazing.
Roger Taylor said: The best Rock and Roll Drummer "John Bonham"
I've always liked jack white. he never gets cocky or arrogant and is always very respectable. in it might get loud he was very humble and gave page the respect he deserved. most younger artists would be assholes.
I think Wolfmother did a respectable job on Communication Breakdown - especially for a trio!
it made me smile...
i love 'em
wolfmother did a good job there..
Pretty decent induction. Great interviews. I watched the Black Sabbath UK HoF induction, and it completely sucked. Interestingly, Brian Mays inducted them. What made this induction better -- by far -- were the interviews during the video. Aerosmith, Slash, Jack White, Paul Rodgers, Iommi -- great musicians, all of whom were actually influenced by Zeppelin. So cool to see Iommi and Rodgers talking about Zeppelin. And how cool was it to hear an actor (Keifer Sutherland) talk about something and not make a complete dope out of himself? He clearly understood something about Zeppelin. The saddest part was Page accepting the honors by himself. Compared to their induction into the American RNR HoF, which Aerosmith made a mockery of, this was definitely a low key event. Too bad, given that England produced the majority of great bands.
Tony Iommy's last comment resumes all about Led Zepp.
Zep easily remain rock's greatest band. By far the best youtube video of John Bonham is here: "Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick (Live At Royal Albert Hall 1970)". I promise you will be glad you watched it.
I watched that one last year and it was awesome! I definitely agree with you on that one. 👍👍👍👍👍
my god i simply am in love with zeppelin, fav. band ever.
i wish i had a time machine, i was born 1991. =[
but i fell in love with this band, robert's vocals, jimmy's guitar, john paul jone's bass, john bonham, rest in peace.
ahhhh why didnt my parents have me earlier!!!!!!!!!!!???????
hahaha
Zeppelin forever
Slash : "John Paul Jones WAS an amazing musician
JPJ : O.O i'm still here mate.
wow wolfmother sound like almost exactly like zeppelin in that performance. im impressed
it was jimmy playing the acoustic and it was That's The Way from the Earls Court concert in 1975
I love them more than myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Whites Stripes don't make music they make noise LED ZEPPELIN MAKES MUSIC! Thank you very much
It's Over the Hills and Far Away
I'd say the LZ sound is defined by Bonzo's drums
It’s great to see master musician Kiefer Sutherland in there.
I love hearing Jimmy talk
I think I'm going to keep this from Jack White:"If I meet a person who doesn't like Led Zeppelin, I don't think i can trust them."
Too true. Best band that has ever, and will exist on this earth, no questions asked.
6:31 gilmour .....:)
wow i saw david gilmour , wat a scene great guitarist watching another great one
Who knew slash was so articulate.
@fredzepp1 Agreed fred. There was just something magical about LZ, that I still cant put my finger on. They were great performers, with brilliant songs, but they had that air of mystery. They would just disappear after tours, never did interviews and rarely did tv. It was so true of LZ that less is more. The greatest band in music history? I think so by a country mile!! No one since has been close!!
Man, you know you're onto something when Tommy fucking Iommi praises you.
John Paul Jones was just glowing and gorgeous!
6:32 David Gilmour, fuck yes!
that's roger taylor. the drummer of queen.
yessss!!!!! xxx
look at tony at 9:18 he was impress by wolfmother playing and they were several other ppl in this clip were headbanging too so wolfmother cover version not so bad i even enjoyed it too led zeppelin and wolfmother forever
actually he was impress how wolfmother played the song
jack stole my line! Actually i said if you dont like "Battle of Evermore" then I dont wanna know you
grande roger taylor reconociendo al mejor, John Bonham R.I.P
gran hombre
Best rythem section in the World : Cesar Zuiderwijk and Rinus Gerritsen, They taught Led Zeppelin the fine tuning, They toured USA before the Zeppelin toured.....
yeah, i just noticed..it wasn't like that when i first uploaded it. do you know what might have happened?
Plant turned up at my friend's studio last summer for a " chat" ....
is roger taylor the drummer from queen?
when you see this, your proud of knowin Led zeppelin dont you think?
I knew Jack White was influenced by Led Zeppelin. You can see it in his vids. and hear it in his music. Yeah!, that was quite a rendition of communication breakdown! Really well done! It's just a sad shame that Bonham isn't around to see all of the success and popularity of his and the rest of the Band Members music has attained over the years! They've accomplished so much in the 12yr. span they were together, I don't see that kind of "MAGIC" ever happening again in my lifetime,or anyone els's!
I was replying to someone else who asked that question. I think he didn't talk about Taylor, it's about that clapping guy in the audience before.
The best band ever!
@4legendcentral: Yeah it sounds, as he would play just half of the licks !
Tony iommi paying tribute, thats a big deal!
John Bonham was the best man and Tonys wedding actually. They were good pals, both from Birmingham England.
lolz, dats wolfmothers favourite song, they love to play that song in their concerts, and oh, jimmy's still got that baby face, lolz!
I agree with Jack- don't trust anyone who doesn't like Led Zep... but then there are a lot of people who do lik e them I wouldn't trust either!
whats the song at 3:36??
Led zeppelin rock gods
@poussyledzep
until Zeppelin broke their attendance records...
Im new to Zeppelin, please could you tell me what song is at 3:34
What does Jack White says about JPJ at 3:06???. "He should never have to work again"?.
I don´t get the first words of that quote, though.
What a mature response !!How old are you mate 12/13? has someone just told you that Led Zep are the greatest rock band of all time and you believed them?Listen up there were many fantastic rock bands in the late 60s early 70s and Zep for sure were one of them as were Purple and Sabbath who was the greatest?its all about taste and opinion there is no greatest only ones own personal favourite as i said forget the hype just listen to the music and enjoy and grow up!
after bonham finishes his solo on 03:33 they cut to misty mountain hop....
even now they didnt give JPJ enough credit. They gave every member a big part and then just said he was a good bass player. He was a great bass player, but that wasnt even all he did. He played keyboards and mandolin 2. I would like to see any other bass player solo on a mandolin like during thats the way on how the west was one. Listen to no quarter and in the light! Fuckinggggg Brilliance! Dont worry JPJ you got my respect
no doing covers can be totally necessary and almost vital at the beginning stage of a band, it helps everybody work together and getting trimming down. how ever this cover wasn't very good.
hes talking about the song after bonham finishes his solo after 03:33
What year was this?i’m guessing 2006 or so? Ahmed was ailing, but before he passed.
led zeppelin=gods
