Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊. There is a photo in the video at around 1 minute 52 secs showing the extra heddle block. It is basically just attached in the space behind the other double heddle block. I used a small clamp to attach it to the sides of the loom with a little bit of foam just to protect the wood.
If you are open to suggestions, I would love to see more weaving videos. I don't have a loom yet but would like to learn more to figure out what my best options are. (We have dorset sheep too)
Thank you for this video. When i have 2 heddles in the down position i don't have a clean shed, i have like 2 smaller sheds. Any idea why this is? Can I put my shuttle just through over the lower threads?
Hi thanks for watching. Yes, that’s fairly common on the rigid heddle just because of the path the threads have to take through the heddles. So if you have heddles 1 & 2 down just make sure you are only passing the shuttle under threads in the holes and slots of heddle 3. I find it helpful sometimes to place a pickup stick on its edge to help push the threads down, making it easier to pass the shuttle through. Hope this makes sense 😊
Hi, I asked on the Rigid Heddle Weaving Loom Buy and Sell group on Facebook if anyone had a single block for sale and I got a couple of responses there. You maybe already know that the older Ashford looms came with a single block and some people have swapped it over to a double block and so may be willing to sell the single
Hi, I mentioned a book in the video that gives the instructions for warping a 2/2 twill. It’s called inventive weaving on a little loom by Syne Mitchell. There is a link to the kindle edition of the book in the video description. Thanks for watching 😊
Hi, the Ashford RHL comes with a double heddle block and you will see in the video that I clamped an additional single heddle block behind it. Yes the 3 heddles allow four shaft patterns to be woven
@@ewetoyarn Wow!! That's a big deal, _and_ it's really cool! Four shaft patterns are incredibly popular. If people knew it were this easy to turn a RHL into a 4-shaft loom, I think that would change things. From your set up, it looks like a somewhat easy thing to do. How has been your experience with the 3 rigid heddles each having their own space to officially work from?? I'm so curious...
You make this look so easy!!!
Thank you, it just takes practice 😊
A great video - thank you. Perhaps you could post a close up sot of the third single heddle block and how you placed it on your loom. Thank you.

Hi, I hope to do more weaving videos in the future. Unfortunately I have fractured my foot so it’s a bit awkward at the minute ☹️.
Your project turned out beautiful! Cheers from Ontario, Canada
Thank you, I’m very pleased with it 😊

@@ewetoyarn yes. Thank you very much for your reply!
So good to know that it isn't something from me, gives a person confidence 😊
Where did you get the single heddle block? ordered? took off anotger loom? home made? thank you in advance.

How did you get a RHL with a three heddle block set up?? Does it function as a 4-shaft loom???

@@ewetoyarn Thank you for responding to my comment!
The experience has been good, no problems at all
