She cares for them always, not just bc of this storm. The need there is beyond great. There are dogs roaming around on the streets, starving, sick, diseased bc the majority of Nassau doesn't look twice ... Chella does more than anyone there. She brings them home, feeds, cares for them. It has been a huge labor of love ... and sorrow as well. If 97 people here in the US could adopt them into loving homes ... it would make room for the many more that await their chance to be saved by Chella. She has no team helping her, it's her and her brother when he can be there to physically help her. It is a 24/7 job. It is what most cannot handle, but she troops on, even in sorrow. The world needs to help more before we lose people like her as they're few and far between.

Chella deserves a million. And this event wasn't a "just due to hurricane" event. She cares for all the homeless dogs she can and it pains her when she can't help more. Shame on the people of Nassau, and their could careless and cruel ways in how they treat, ignore and abandon their animals. If Chella did not do what she does, the animals would have no one. PLEASE OFFER TO ADOPT ONE and GIVE IT THEIR FOREVER CARED FOR HOME! Then she can take in the next one and need so it is safe, fed and cared for off the street. Help reduce the suffering before it consumes her ... then what will become of those left in need?

Not enough humans like this on our planet; but we also need to spread our love and our money around as there are a lot of people that do wonderful work with rescues and help with the hurricanes that hit every year. They all need our support, heart wise and money wise. It’s not hard to find their names, check the news reports - there is one man who spends all this free time flying animals to where they need to be, there are other groups that put in cages in cars and station wagons and vans and drive across the country. They do it here in a year out. Please support all of them

Jose Andres and his crew are working to feed people. People make a choice who they are helping. Everyone has to decide what they want to do to help. One person can't do it all. So bravo to Jose Andres, bravo to Chella, and to all the others who are out their volunteering to help those in need.

Are some of the pups starting to find their families yet? It hits my heart.I recently lost my best friend Jack. (Lab/Dane). I miss him so. My gentle giant is gone at 13yrs old. We were a team. Never was a dog person till he showed up on my deck during a devastating flood in 2006. Still after 5 mo. I don't have the will to adopt another. I know he would want me to share my heart&home and his big Dog couch and posture pedic mattress. I hope I can change that. Some (buddy) needs me I'm sure.God Bless you all for your generosity and spirit!

I give her a great credit for this data over what she doing of it raising the money and for donation for dogs are barking to give up a new animal shelter phone and even of a new owners that at 2 to take care of it when she done and the new Master will take care of a dog because everyone needs to have a responsibility that if they keep moving forward to the future and even that of a great responsibility 4 things that are up or what kind of people wanted to have for the future because for the future they don't have to be responsibility

Carlos A.N there will be plenty of aid coming to the Bahamas. They are an independent country now but they are in the British Commonwealth which is made up of 53 countries that were former British Colonies. Countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, many African countries etc. They all help each other in times of need. Plus plenty in the US are helping them. A ship has already arrived from the UK.

She wasn't even in an area that was hit that hard. The Humane Society of Grand Bahama was and they really need donations. Chella is sending some of those dogs in the video to HORRIBLE "RESCUE" GROUPS in the US. Groups that use dogs for money.
I believe in respecting animals and caring for animals. But we have to stop putting animals before humans. She went around looking for stray dogs.. and saved 100 dogs. I wonder what would have happened if she went around looking for homeless people or had open her home for those people that were drowning.
