Maybe the owner perished in the storm.
Even then imagine having to make a choice of saving the family dog or a daughter/son/mom/dad. You shouldn’t be quick to judge if you have no idea what the circumstances were.
Sorry my dog is a family member. I didnt judge i said me. Not them. I hope they can find the dog's family.

How beautiful. My boy (my dog) I got from some people in Florida. They said they were going to let him die or throw him on the side of the road. Alligators and snakes. I took him from them. I already had two dogs so I took him to the dog pound. The pound was full and they said he had the mange, parasites, and the would not take him. The said bring him to the the country and they would put him to sleep. I said no way will I abandon a puppy. So I went and borrowed some money from my mother and took him to the vet. The veterinary clinic said they would not charge me much. I gave him treatments and he got better. We drove back to my home state of NY. The mange reoccurred And I treated him again. To make a long story short "Macaroni," that was his name lived to be almost 16. When he was about to turn 14 he developed a brain tumor and went blind. He was blind and on meds for 20 months before he died. We walked close to a mile to the day he died. His hips went and he had a seizure and I had to put him to sleep. He was the highlight of my life. I loved him to death. Macaroni was my king. Please save dogs.
Sorry for your loss I know how you feel I have a dog 13 years old he have a stroke he can’t Harley walk I’ve have to carry him go outside do Business bring he in set him on his bad I pick him up on my lap and hold him then put him back in the bad my mother and I made decision to put him sleep I know I’ve been through with out him over a year

I lost four dogs Shadow, Buddy, Macaroni and Molly. They were the purpose of my life. They come and go in my dreams a lot. I hope forever they visit me in my dreams. All blessings come in disguise. I had them cremated and I put their ashes up on a mountain near where I live on a mountain. I was crazy for my kids. I appreciated their love. I respected them. I dedicated my life to them and have no regrets what is so ever. You are wonderful for "being there" for you dog. Thank you and your mother for caring.

@RaFari1119 Bee thank you for your comment. I lost Four dogs over the years, but Macaroni' s lost hit me the hardest. He was the purpose of my life, all of them. I am proud to admit that. I am a perfectly good looking male 48 years old who loved his dogs to death. No regrets. All I cared about was them. At about 27 yeas old I realize that you have to love and contribute in life to others. A life of self indulgence is a dead end spiritually. I am nonreligious but I do love and respect true beauty and nature. You are a beautiful person. What ever you love- cherish. May love be with you

They probably didnt leave him guys, this hurricane destroyed homes...alot of people stayed...alot of people died. He probably was blown away. Poor guy.

How can anyone with any kind of heart give this video a thumbs down??? This story is a perfect example that miracles can happen. Thank you to these rescuers from Big Dog Ranch for being so persistent in finding all of the animals they possibly can. I hope "Miracle" is able to make a full and speedy recovery from this tragic ordeal.

What did god have to do with it? According to your belief-system, God caused the hurricane, God left the dog pinned. Only rescue workers saved him. God was never there. Thank the rescuers, not some character in a fiction book.
Thank you rescuers (not an imaginary god) who found the poor doggo! Glad some people are there to look out for the "little guys", poor thing probably didn't even know what happened. Although I doubt it was pinned, it was more likely too scared to come out, after having a house collapse around it suddenly.

I was a Border Patrol K-9 handler for 14 years & we would be sent to areas before & after natural disasters, and our Belgium Maleness we’re phenomenal for rescuing people, but since they are pack animals, they would exhaust themselves to save other dogs or house pets. They are chosen by expert veterinarians with the USDA, so their “Hunt” drive is truly over the top.
This is why we shouldn't have pets keeping pets makes them vulnerable they no longer know how to survive without humans

I'm very happy that the dog was rescued and taken to safety. However, there seems to be LESS empathy for persons in the Bahamas who are now homeless and want to stay with a friend or relative in the States until they get back on their feet. Numerous comments on other videos stated that homeless Bahamians should stay and rebuild their island.
