    i’ve got one month to my psychology a levels examination because I suddenly decided to give it privately, not having any previous knowledge of it. i’ve got revision notes from a bookshop but that just wasn’t enough so i decided to jump onto youtube for extra clarification and i found your channel, i absolutely adore the way you explain the concepts, i’m actually understanding it. thank you; i’m aware that your channel doesn’t have a lot of subs and your videos don’t get many likes but just know that there are actual people who need your help and who appreciate the support they get from your videos. you do you; and the success will follow

    I dont think using number of words in a dream narrative is very practical. Im into writing so i always notice the small details and when im asked to describe, i can describe at length. Can easily make a 200 essay word into 600 or more

    this was a brilliant video and a great channel until you said "people with schizophrenia" vs "normal people". rude??? i am a normal person thank you very much

    • @cambridgea-levelspsycholog1100
      @cambridgea-levelspsycholog1100  2 года назад +9

      The word normal vs. abnormal has no negative connotations in and of themselves. If people attach something negative to them, that's their own mistake that they need to correct.
      When used in a clinical setting such as psychology the terms simply describe people who fall under certain categories
      Those suffering from schizophrenia are "abnormal" and those who do not can be considered "normal" behaviour.
      They are just words. Rudeness is never implied. If you feel it's rude, then you have personally chosen to attach rudeness to these words.
      I'd advise you to stop doing that. Never allow a few letters of an alphabet to rule your emotions.
      In addition to that, there's an important life lesson I'd like to share with you. Something that I've gained over the years.
      Never take a single instance and generalise it to an entire thing. For example. If you found a basket of apples, and one of them was rotten, you'd remove the rotten one only and check to ensure the other's were alright before eating them.
      In the same way, should you encounter speakers/RUclips channels that you enjoy online, it is important never to colour an entire channel based on a single experience in time.
      This is important. Psychology shows us that people are complex and nuanced. We should, in response to that, also be willing to make an effort to have more nuance in our understanding of people and the world.
