I have the rose gold sprocket, I love it but in all the time I have had it, I did not know they were sticky back lol I have been using glue ha ha thank you for letting me know 😘
I have to admit I do love matte a little more, but I dont have a printer at home, so It would be such a pain to print everything out to take it home for my diary! Although the print quality and paper would be so much nicer if I could hehe

I have an older Sproket for my travelers notebook travel journal. I use a collage app to put two photos together for one print. Small but still a good size for the travel journal and cuts paper cost in half. Also, I use the camelcamel site to alert me when the amazon price for the paper drops so I can stock up. The price of the paper fluctuates 50% On the US amazon site.
Lovely clear review which has sold it to me. It's my daughter's 13th birthday next week and she wanted a phone printer which ticks all (most) of the boxes which this seems to do!

Im pretty sure that this type doesn’t fade, its thermal paper that fades after a while. Im not entirely sure though, so you may want to do some research.
I just don’t like whenever I try to adjust the image size to try to get the full image to print in the app preview when I print out a photo using my HP Sprocket. Some parts of my image gets cropped out while in the process of printing. It’s either the top, bottom, or the sides of the images that gets cropped out. 😕
Katnipp I LOVE it. I use the app pic collage to put two pictures on each page and then trim them. That way they fit perfectly in my planner and I get twice as many pictures

From what I've read online the Zink paper doesn't 'expire', apparently, but if your wanting a printer for Archival use to last 100+ years this probably isn't the ideal printer for you, this is more a novelty printer, but I do think the prints last years, I couldn't actually find any information on this! Im hoping as the prints aren't exposed to UV light often that they will last my lifetime (hopefully hehe) xxxxx
@@KatnippStudios I wasn't thinking exactly archival, but just something that wouldn't have faded when I got back to it a few years later. My sketchbook is filled with things I glue to it. A printer like this would be super awesome (if the image lasts). Certain spreads like the one you made about a great trip, we're bound to open the journal to read over and remember. I imagine it would be a disappointment to see that you can't discern the image because it faded away.
I wanted to get this until I looked at the paper prices and how I can only use zink paper. Tbh I would've brought it if it could use any type of paper and not just zink paper

I have the Polaroid zip and it turns everything into a sticker! I use them as gifts for my friends.

I have something similar, try upping the contrast and saturation. Tbh i just use matt sticker paper and my printer now.

I have used a couple, PicPlayPost is one but I often use Procreate as well.

There is a matte spray you can probably use to mattify it. It works on paper, but not sure for photos.

It looks better if you edit it and you can get it pretty close to the original if you do it right

I think you need to use their paper cause the printer itself doesn’t have ink. It’s all in the paper.
You have to use the zink paper and unfortunately there isn’t a matte option.
