Thanks for the reviews! I’ve been meaning to watch some reviews but they were all so long. I appreciate how you demonstrated how they work and how they look in actual art. Much appreciated 😊
Glad it was helpful! I plan on making a slightly longer one with my favorite printers I’m loving. It will include a couple of these and new ones as well. Thank you!
I have a Canon Ivy and I love it! It’s white but the case is pink! We foster dogs for a local shelter and I use it to print photos of pups and their new family and put it in my Happy Planner where I record the adoptions.
I am so glad you made this video! I have the 1st gen up sprocket and have loved loved it but I have been wondering about the others in comparison. This helped so much!
I love these compact printers. I had no idea instax had another printer! I use the sprocket 2 and ivy 2 for our vacations to document our travels. It’s just fun!
Thanks for this! I’m obsessed with pink. I switched from Sprocket to Ivy years ago because the colour of the photos looked more realistic, so it’s nice to know that hasn’t changed. I think I should upgrade to the Ivy2 just to get the pink!
Glad it was helpful! And yes, why not? I think you could even keep one for travel or for yourself at a different location like your office. If you do a comparison from the first to the second with the same picture, I would be curious to see if you think it’s an upgrade!
Ohhhh this is so good. Thanks. I have the sprocket, and canon ivy CLQ+2 Personally, I like how the color on the sprocket come out. I will start paying attention to any discoloration of my pictures in my journals from now on. Thanks for the heads up. Amy, you are simply the best🌈
Yes! I've been waiting for an updated pocket photo printer video from someone! Mahalogozaimasu! Although I'm not into pink, I appreciate the video. I have a sprocket that I keep in a Hobonichi large drawer pouch which goes with me almost everywhere. People seem to love it when I give them copies of my prints. I'm thinking of a Kodak if I ever get a new one.
YAYYY! It's funny because I filmed most of this in November/December thinking I would have it up for the holidays and then life got crazy. And apparently they were mostly sold out anyway, so haha. And yes, the color doesn't matter - the white versions of these look awesome. I actually have a Kodak in blue and might have to try it sometime!
This is awesome, thanks for sharing this! I'm torn between the canon ivy and getting the one that prints 4x6. Have you tried the portable 4x6 printer before?
I don't have a very portable one for 4x6. Which one are you referring to? I have one that stays in the studio that I could probably take on road trips but not so great for the plane. I plan on reviewing that one soon as well!
I recently got the Polaroid High-Print and I’m loving it! I have the HP on which is nice but agree with the color accuracy being a bit warmer that real photo. I also initially got the Canon Ivy but the app doesn’t work in my region so, something to consider.
I have the Polaroid Mint, which is another zink printer. The color quality is terrible. Considering getting an Ivy since it looks like they use the same paper.
@@amytangerine Hi! I have the Selphy CP 1300 and I find that the photos come out kind of grey, even when I adjust them. Does the 1500 have a better quality?
I still own my 1st generation HP Sprocket that I'll keep using until I dont have any Zink paper. Then, I think I won't buy any new one, i've been so disappointed by the colors of the printed pictures. Moreover, these colors out fade with time, so I dont' trust the Zinc paper anymore. I think in order to print photos, i'll use A4 photo paper and my inkjet Espon desk printer. Your review is very nice though, it makes me want to buy them all, but... no. :-))) As always, I love the way you organize and decorate your journals. it's SOOOO inspiring ! Best regards from France. Marie-Hélène
I love the weight and.convenience of my Sprocket but I have so much unused photo paper because the zink paper was old or unusable as machine didnt recogmize as new. @HP should sell just the Zink ink piece of paper
I’m looking for a pocket printer to print sticky photo for journaling I’d love a more in-depth video of those printers please. I also love my Polaroid style printer it’s just not sticky and makes certain things hard to include.
I used to use the white sprocket that used zink paper and after a few years of going back to my journals, the sticker photos had a lot of yellowing and the warm color change distorted the images. I now avoid any printer that uses inkless heat technology for that reason. Iʻve been using a Canon Selphy which I canʻt use on the go but the images have stiid the test of time.
@@amytangerine It might very well have to do with the humidity (Big Island of Hawaiʻi). Iʻve seen that there is a portable Canon Selphy but I need to do more research into it.
I also use the Canon Selphy at home and for traveling I use the Kodak P210r, which has the same 4-step technology but is super portable, I recommend it. those with zinc technology are not useful in the long time!
Ooh I love a good mini photo printer! I've had an instax for a few years and absolutely love the little polaroid style photos especially for my traveler's notebooks and smaller scrapbook pages. 😍

YAYYY! Glad it helped :)
this is fascinating, might have to pick one of these up for myself ☺☺
Go for it!
The mini link is my fave-i love using it!
YAYYYYY
Have you ever used the Kodak version? I really want one that does full size photos

Hi Amy! Thanks for sharing your experience with the pocket photo printers in the review. Your creativity is calming and beautiful. Cool showcase :)
Thank you so much!
OMG the roll one! We gotta see if the strip print worked!
haha. I think photo strips might be better on the printer I have in the studio to be honest
Ohhhh this is so good. Thanks. I have the sprocket, and canon ivy CLQ+2

I still use the original Canon Ivy. Love it!
That's awesome!
I was wondering, can we use the Pentel Energel 5.0 pen to write in the hobonichi?😊
Sure!! Why not?
I love mini printers! Are you gonna do a tour of your new studio? Would love to see it! ❤
Ha, do you want to see it in its current haphazard state? I still have boxes I haven't unpacked and it's mostly in disarray
@@amytangerine haha! I think your fans would love to see your studio process! 😊

Can it be connected directly to the computer? and $$ ??
I have the hp sprocket and love it! Mine is almost 10 years old so its a little temperamental but it still works 😂
Amazing!!
Others are saying their prints are becoming discolored with time. Are you finding that with the older photos you printed on your Sprocket?
Which printer did you use to print the photo strips in your recent instagram reel?
Here you go - amzn.to/3SQsCfr
@@amytangerine thank you, but the link won’t work. It says not found. 😢
@@whitneypieren6396 SO sorry - I guess they sold out of the package deal. But here's the printer. Highly recommend! amzn.to/4c3rxIV

Awww bummer! I found I had to really edit the pics on my phone prior to printing on the Sprocket for them to look right

Sure thing! I just included it in my latest video too, so you can see a bit of it
I want the instax square printer but it's impossible to find here in Brazil 😢
Oh sorry!!

Oh wow! I should take a look at mine. I wonder if temperature and humidity have anything to do with it too. We are pretty dry here in CA

WHAT, WAIT, your phone is YELLOW
