Me: "After 10,000 years of kitbashing, I finally have the perfect Inquisitor models." GW: "Have a Vampire lady with a nifty cloak." I think this is going to be Lady Inquisitor #6 or #7.
When I saw the Kasrkin, I legitimately started tearing up. The Kasrkin are my favourite models GW have ever done, they were my favourite when they were metal and I'm so happy they're in plastic now. My only - ONLY - issue with the Kasrkin, if it can be called that, is that he's making the same face I make when I pop open the fridge at 3am for a snack and start eyeing up a fully bag of shredded cheese Von Carstein looks sensational - head is a little strange BUT I'd plan on swapping it out with one of the Nighthaunt... Prisoners/Jailors? Can't remember their name XD
The proportions on the Vampire’s helmet make me think of the Dark Lord in Legend. (The 80s film with Tom Cruise.) I new there was something else it reminded me of. It’s Heimdall from Thor.
I like both and will most likely get both like I did for year 2's models. The Kasrkin will be handy either giving me a second option for a Sargent/ or letting me make up an extra special weapon guy that I could switch in or out with the 10th model in the Kasrkin kit , or , now hear me out, as a Castilian in a small Kasrkin and Tempestus themed 1000pts army . The Vampire, well.... She's a Vampire and I love me my undead especially vampires. As Otto Chriek from Discworld said "Sometimes the Ladies don't scream." Although I love her helm, I do wish that they had shown her over the top hair option too.
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to think Steppenwolf 😂 They've been doing a really good job of bringing artwork to the table top. I think this is the second of that particular artist to have received this treatment. The first was Amalia Nova, the first plastic sister. Sadly, I won't be getting the 40k one, and I might just be getting a small vampire army to back up Miss Von Carstien. Giving me yet another AoS army that I'll never play with 😅 Your Outro's are still better than mine 😂
King hyperion had a similar helm design in the film Immortals I wasn't a fan of it then either but its nice they gave a different option with that particular figure.
I like them both, but I don't play an army in AoS where vampires fits in, so I will get the Kasrkin for my Imperial Guard (or Astra Militarum if you prefer) army.
maybe im biased as a long time vampire count/undead player, but i have no problem with ANOTHER vampire model. especially as all but one since the big soulblight release have either been limited or named. still want a new vampire lord on nightmare!
For me, the silhouette of the Kasrkin is too far removed from the artwork. He’s too ‘wide’ where the artwork has him thin and drained, almost leaning on his sword to keep him propped up. The Vampire Lord, is fantastic. I don’t play AoS but I’m looking at starting a SGL army (love me some undead) so this would be a good project to work on whilst I paint hordes of zombies and skeletons 😂 plus; she looks fantastic for a D&D villain!
The vampire is growing on me, but I'm not convinced about either head option. Her hair is the same shape as her helmet! They might work better for me if I saw them painted with something other than blueish skin, that's not my favourite thing about how GW paints their vampires.
@@nicholassinnett2958 I've seen it shared around a few Discord servers but I don't know the original source, sorry. It's a composite picture, including photos of the model from different angles and with both head options, it looks like the real deal but I don't know if the source was Instagram, Twitter or a different social media platform.
That cross game model would be some sort of demon I reckon, demons can be used in 40K, AoS and potentially HH but there’s no rules for demons in HH yet…
"Daemons of the Ruinstorm" in HH ARE demons. There just isn't anything god specific outside of the unique demon princes, which is deliberate. All demon infantry, be they bloodletter, plaguebearer, horror or daemonette all share the same stats because you need to field hundreds of models as is standard for HH - and Greater Demons are just called "Greater Daemons of the Ruinstorm" and also share the same stats. It's why they introduced things like "Ruinstorm Brutes", who are also not got aligned to take the place of things like a Beast of Nurgle - so you can have a mish-mash army of whatever demon models you like.
Morten is such a bland everyman name in Denmark that I find it absolutely hilarious on a badass Kasrkin (yes, I know it’s MortenS but it’s too close to not be funny.)
Year 1: Crushing 40K victory! Shooty assassin is best assassin 😅 Year 2: AoS wins but not by much, mostly I just love the tiny chaos boi haha 😂 Year 3: AoS wins in a landslide. That vampire looks absolutely beautiful 😍 I should mention, I don’t really play or collect AoS. I have a crippling 40K addiction. 😂 but yeah, AoS minis are sometimes just better, like a lot better in some cases 😅
I cancelled my WH+ subscription because neither of the models appealed. The Unbroken is nice and I am starting a guard force but it isn't worth £25 to me. Karlina von Carstein also nice but with the 40mm base she is too big for any guard figure I can think of, and doesn't really fit with my TS, SoB, Orks, Tau, Ad Mech, CSM, SM, nids, or knight armies that need building and painting X-D
Does anyone understand how this works...i have wh+ for 6 months, do i now need to wait 6 months to get the last reward and then i start my year for a new one or?
@@ger5956 it help'd a lot m8, i think i will do the rest of 6 months monthly and then i will sub for a full year to get the 3'd year in a month. tnx again
I really don't get the love for the Kasrkin model as it's just basically a model you'd expect to find in the generic box imo. I was hoping they'd continue to make really interesting and unique models for WH+ models so perhaps my expectations were too high. There are so many amazing possibilities in the wider 40k universe with no output from GW. Going a bit vanilla for these special releases with just small differences to stock models seems to be a pattern recently that I hope is not intentional.
@@kohlerxxx Yeah I see your point but it is an obviously different pose to the stock option and the addition of the entire statue base at least makes it interesting. Put this Kasrkin model in a regiment of normal models and he doesn't really stand out imo.
I hate that the 40K Model is a Kasrkin. Because GW just *can't* let Cadia stay dead and let the Tempestus be the de facto Imperial Guard "Elite Infantry". The Vampire is cool tho.
the vampire bugs me. I dont like the daft helmet. But its the cup. Why isnt there blood pouring out? So its empty...then where is it? More a pedantic whine about the paint job really. My brain is hung up on the empty mug. Why is it empty, why did she bring it? To many questions. The only other cupped vamp i can think of off the top of my head is good old Corbulo, and he has the decency to be holding his full cup upright. LOL.
Karlina is obviously a guy, alsoreinforced by the very masculine face sculpt, and the designation "lord". Nothing wrong in that, of course, just very confusing.
The vampire with swapped out hands and head could be an impressive Knight Centura for the SoS 😮
@EvanMain yes
honestly that vampire is to me the most convincing WH+ mini so far. It just doesnt look like any other model theyve got going rn and I kinda love it.

The vampire helmet reminds me of Heimdalls helmet (Idris Elba) from the first Thor movie it has that look to it
Honestly when I see the vampire model I keep thinking of Rita Repulsa from Power Rangers. Either that or some kind of Stag Beetle helmet.
Im freeeeeee!!
The helmet reminds me of a claw on a Chaos Deamon of Mutated Chaos Space Marine.

I like the idea of using classic art to inform the Warhammer+ models, but it's a shame the fantasy models don't also follow this idea.
true, though the ironjawz megaboss was at least an homage to the grimgor ironhide model which was awesome to see

Karls art is top tier when it comes too old GW stuff.
