Thank you for this video really helped me do mine after new disc and pads
@gregorygledhill7327 Hi, that's great to hear thank you for leaving a comment 👍🏻
Do u need to bleed also at lines next to master cylinder. I just changed my power booster and have the spongy brakes they go down . Awaiting my vizibleed order. Also should pedal get hard after few pumps or its normal until i get air out?
@djvenom1842 Hi, the whole system should bleed at the same time at the calipers so you should be ok just doing the normal procedure. With the engine off the pedal should get very hard and barley move after 1 or 2 pumps of the pedal with the engine running it should have the usual resistance and not be too soft or go to the floor. If it's too soft or goes to the floor there is air in the system. Hope that helps.
How many litres of brake fluid do you need to do this? And is dot 4 the correct fluid for my bmw 520d 2009 e60? I absolutly love these videos. Thank you
@georgesafc6589 If the fluid isn't too nasty 2 litres should be fine. I'm 99%sure it's DOT4 but you can double check at the motor factors to be 100% if you like. That's amazing to hear thank you so much. That means a lot to hear that! 👍🏻
GREAT video as always, however , you missed the opportunity to remind people that they should ALWAYS check the drainage bung located below the master cylinder as they can block up, i did mine yesterday funny enough, don`t take offence with my comments, i`m a fussy old git, and when i notice something i comment, have you changed your filming device for this video, ie, changed phone /camera ?
@t5jerry Thank you my friend, greatly appreciated. That's true I usally as you know do mention it but think I only mention the little flap this time. Not at all! I will always listen to constructive comments and appreciate your feedback. I used a mic because of the wind but i wasn't a fan if I'm honest, what's your thoughts?
@@TheBimmerFixer sound was all ok, what truly amazes me is the lack of subscribers you have, your vids are clear and concise , well presented and easy to follow, you should be up there with george whatsisname who also does the beemm vids , maybe you should use some clickbait, like that comic newspaper the daily sport used to do years ago, i remember 1 clearly .............."BUS FOUND ON THE MOON" WAS THE HEADLINE !!!!! you deserve a LOT more viewers..................now, how about that loan 😉😉😉😉😉😉
@t5jerry Thank so much! That really does mean a lot! Well hopefully the more people that find the channel the more subscribers I will get. Yeah could always try that 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@TheBimmerFixer whoops, i got the heading wrong, it ACTUALLY reads " WW2 BOMBER FOUND ON THE MOON" ..............my mistake 😜😜😜😜😜😜
@t5jerry 😂😂 No way!
Can i replace my brake discs and pads and sensor first? Because back ones are squeeking. And my brake pedal is firm, idk when or if fluid been changed. So im just asking will it affect anything if i dont do it all in one go basically? Thanks
@moizhaq5840 Hi there, sure you can change the discs and pads and sensor first thats not a problem 🙂
@@TheBimmerFixer nice. So even if i want to change fluid like few months down the line is that ok?
@moizhaq5840 Yeah, as long as you feel it's ok to do so. If the fluid is still working ok and don't have any contamination in it like water then you'll be fine to delay changing it. I would change it eventually though.
@@TheBimmerFixer thanks for your help as always!
@moizhaq5840 No problem anytime 👍🏻
is it the same process after replacing the master cylinder?
@OsamaBinlama Yeah same process 👍🏻
@@TheBimmerFixer thanks
Yeah I agree e60s are terrible for getting water ingress under the brake servo and into the boot area.
@Matthew Barns Hi Matthew Long time no see! Hope you're well. Thanks for the comment!
I'm all good mate just getting the car ready for winter just cleaned all the drain holes. Found water under my spare tyre the other day lucky i moved my modules when i got it lol .Hope your all good and keep the videos coming mate 👍.
@Matthew Barnes Good to hear mate! And well done for moving those modules! What a headache that would have been!
@Matthew Barnes and thank you!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@TheBimmerFixer yeah that would of been an absolute nightmare to be honest lol.
Where you gone old buddy .......I URGENTLY need my weekly fix of " the bummer fixer" As I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms ?

Do not push the brake pedal to the bottom or you risk damaging the main cylinder/piston. The first E60:s are now getting 20 years old... With all that goes with it.
@georgsiotis That's great advice 👍🏻 very good point.
