Regardless of the vehicle, USUALLY people DON'T just sit in them and push around on plastic areas on the dash unless it's actually for touching the touch screen and pushing buttons... You won't ever catch me just spending my time pushing random dashboard surfaces that have no functionality and I really hate it when car reviewers point that type of stuff out, it's pointless.
Agreed!
Agreed. Who the hell cares if the top of the dash is soft touch material. It's not like you're going to be touching it while driving.
I got the Rogue SV this past weekend and took for a memorial day weekend trip and wow...I really love it.
In love with the new Rogue
Nice to see something other than the top trim level reviewed. I think the SV trim will be the volume seller.
ABSOLUTELY !
Love the new Rogue
As a 2015 Rogue owner, I'd say this guy is very honest.
The plastic is just fine, who the hell would be pushing on it while driving..
Same opinion! Is absolutely fine and looks good.
My thought exactly!
When touching the display, that area will begin to creak. You have to think about the long term. If a soft push triggers this level of creaking, then imagine how much worse it'll get over time. Think about what it will be like around 50-100k miles.
@@kyron2092 this don’t seem to be a problem , that’s something insignificant. If you put all of your force in any screen that’s going to happen. I was in a RAV4 and the same happened.
I thought I would be alone in thinking that and being annoyed by it. What reason would anyone have to place that amount of pressure on that area? It's proven when it shows him using the screen normally, you barely have to tap it. I could understand if we're talking about a Benz or something. It's a Rogue, which otherwise it's interior is definitely overachieving in this class even in the standard spec trim.
Thanks for the vid. Been looking for an SV review
Yes your wrong !!! It looks much better overall...
This is by far better than the outgoing model.
you're*
Love this video! It’s so informative!
I love your honest review!!!!
Very balanced review. Loved the Top 5 things to know.
I subscribed your channel, thank you for objectively pointing out both the pros and cons! Most importantly, your review is on the SV trim. Lots of reviews are on the highest trim, but it's not even what most people plan to buy, or want to know.......
I think the headlights look good
I just bought the 2021 Nissan Rogue VS, I absolutely love the way it drives, how comforatable it is and the beautiful styling. I disagree with the review when you mention it does not have enough power. When I hit the gas pedal it takes off very quickly, I'm very happy with the power it has.
Yeah, I just rented an SV trim for a week and I never felt it was underpowered.
thank you for reviewing something else besides the Platinum. I love the new Rogue and can't wait to test the SV which is on top of my list.
thank you for nice review. Can you tell if the legroom for driver in this new rogue better then previous generation?
Squeaky plastic interior parts are pretty common (and irritating). It makes you wonder if designers ever look at the finished product or just don't care? Car and Driver tested it and their 0-60 time was 8.2 seconds. That's really not "slow" for a commuter car, especially a compact SUV. To me that's reserved for anything over 10 seconds these days.
The quality materials are absolutely great! For me the only criticism he made is something insignificant.
@@rafaelg9016 You should be a car reviewer !! *******
@@rafaelg9016 He just needs to QUIT pushing on the dash! Who does that?
I love the new Rogue and your great review..
Looks like a good improvement but im curious how it stacks up to the competition, it probably is cheaper but what are exact things we are missing or getting?
How is the steering? I liked the steering on the previous model. Does it track straight or wander?
love the new design with lots of advance tech features including quite, comfort ride
I don't really understand the point of programming gear ratios on a CVT. The whole idea of a CVT is not having gears.
I used to own the 2013 and 2015 Rogue..and driving in Austin through Hill Country...It was terrifying having cars tailgating me at an incline. It always rolled back.
@@EpicDrew15 the minute I let go of the brake on a hill it would do almost half a wheel rollback. So I often had to slam on the accelerator so it would roll forward. People that didn’t leave enough room between cars behind me were very close to get hit by me.
finally something else other the platinum
Hopefully my T32 CVT holds up until 2022 when the hybrid comes out.
I just got this exact vehicle but in the color very black. I love it...a huge step up from my previous Rogue. The camera alone is worth it.
I know, who else gives you around view camera for under $30K?
I agree with you about the headlamps
What about the new modes like sport and stuff? Does the CVT handle those? Seems sketchy.
I have the platinum package on the 2020 SV. I love my Rogue. I had an 18 and traded. I love the style of my 2020 and I also think the 21 is great
I just brought the 2021 Rogue SV and drove it home. The lights on the inside don’t seem to light up. And I can’t find a switch? I will call in the morning but was hopping you might could answer.
Nice review the headlights are polarizing and i agree it needs more power perhaps a turbo from the altima.overall it's going to be a big seller.
I have this car but in platinum trim upgraded from a 2018 sv rogue I'm a big guy this SUV fits me well I tried the rav 4 and it's just too small for me lol
I too have the 2018 SV and am looking to get the 21 Platinum when my lease is up. Did you lease or purchase?
Thank you for a thorough and objective review of the new Rogue. I will be sure to buy the top spec one come 2021.
When will this be available for sale?
Looks great
I have a 2021 Kia Seltos SX and I love it... drove the rogue and didn’t love it
Thank you for reviewing something close to the FWD base model. I usually see reviews done for the AWD top trim level and that is not where my dollars are going. AWD maybe but not the top or close to top trim level....
I bought 2021 Nissan Rogue SV brand new and love it
I am wondering where is the water pump, if is
moved by the timing belt,
is not a good choice.
Good review except for talking about pushing in around the infotainment screen...who the hell does that in evaluating a new car? The car is great for all around town driving, gets great mileage, has all the safety features without having to add a package. Lots of value and ... no turbo engine!
The camera cuts are really distracting in this video. Other than that, great review.
Lordy lordy... prolly one of the worst reviews ive seen online for this car. 60% of people dont even clean inside of there cars....you think the group Nissan is targeting will notice this? I decided this.. if you can not do a review of how the vehicle rides, the room, amenities, ectra and show us that... i will not watch anymore videos from here and unsubscribe. Fact there.... didnt watch this to hear someone bitching bout a piece of plastic. If you do a Kia review i best see you pressed same place too.
Why can N. use 1.6T that used to be in the Juke?
I only like this persons car reviews, really descriptive.
I think it looks nice.
Finally something that is not the platinum rogue
Deputy Matt 🤣🤣🤣⚡️👍👍
I wish Nissan made an office chair for me.
Not a Nissan fan but I wouldn’t mind leasing this thing
Do not waste your money in leasing.Buy it.Nissans last forever despite people say wrong abt CVT
*a
Id be willing to sell my 17 rogue for a new one if the power train came with a hybrid form 🤔 till then I'm good for now 👍🏼
The rogue rocks. Who else agree with me. 👍
I agree but my local dealers all want around 2 grand more for a wax job from Mars and slight window tint for 2 front side windows aarrrggggg! Ain't gonna do it.
Is it equipped by third row (7 seats )
No third row anymore in the Rogue.
I like these
It’s not just the infotainment that “it just works” but their engine. They don’t offer turbo or hybrid but 2.5L just works, lol.
have 2018 very happy, 2.5 engine 7 speed transmission and Not GDI.
why comparing BMW to Rogue compare Infinity to BMW
you're wrong!!!!!! best designed Rouge ever
Wow. Very well done review. Really enjoyed your breakdown. The exterior isn't attractive, which means it will sell very well. Just look at the hideous CRV. The interior is nice but the powertrain is uninspiring. The retension of the suspect reliability Jatco CVT has me looking elsewhere. The base engine just doesn't go with the higher pricetag trims
Has you looking elsewhere? As you watch the video... about a Nissan....
Everytime I see you comment on a Nissan video, its negative, so I doubt you're actually looking for a new car. You just want to spew hate.
the separate front lights look so weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"This is a slow car"... well its a $25k SUV.. not a Lamborghini Urus.
Can you say "nitpicking"? This is the only video on the new Rogue that I've seen, and I've seen just about all, that has anything negative to say. Plastic on the dash? I think that is used by EVERYONE.
It frustrates me that these compact SUV's are gutless wonders. The lack of power is annoying! I'm not asking for a sub-6-second SUV, I'm asking for some decent power and none of them seem to have it except for the Mazda CX-5. But the CX-5 lacks a touch screen, ugh!
Just got a 21 awd and haven't experienced any of his problems.
Don't touch surfaces that don't need to be touched, and you'll be fine (re: plastic)
I do my 2020 screen better than how it is on the 21
Rogue best rav4
To me the looks gets its inspiration from Peugeot 3008
Front 2021 Aztec back 2021 Rogue
Phish radio nice
yup your wrong nissan is back
in 2 years the front end will get a redesign and won't have those split headlights.
I don't know. Soo many new cars are going that way. I don't like it either. But...IIHS gives those lights excellent ratings.
Yes you are wrong about the head lights , they are modern and very stylish . I guess you just need something to critic. You contradict yourself self as well , then saying I tyts handsome ..it just shows the pattern of the automotive press, critic and hope you will get views
Nissan needs to stop using CVTs and go with a 6 speed auto.
181 horsepower is enemic needs more juice c'mon Nissan base rav 4 puts out 201 horses and fit and finish is excellent.
But the RAV4 is very noisy on acceleration and several thousand more....oh, and no surround view camera!
Dude are you serious , do you really think people are going to squeeze the plastic around the screen , as usual looking for more to critic
The old Rogues wear nicer body style this 2021 it looks like a Forester has no shape
hyundai tucson have a better interior and technology! its a damn hybrid too!
Jatco cvt + hoping it's good = I don't think so ❌
Lol 😆
Even with all the looks it got, i still take the rav4.
"If it ain't broke don't fix it!" CVT breaks, sells it.
Lease and you’ll be fine
@@joskjj3625 we are currently leasing a 2019 nissan murano for grocery getter.
@@dimitrilax3612 not bad not bad
Atleast it’s a lease
Jatco wins....you loose money
More like 2021 nissan hyundai.'😅😅😅
As if RAV 4 fucked SANTA FE
When I saw the touchscreen bounce around and the humongous center console - too tall and wide - an awful industry design trend - I just stopped the video. No thank you Nissan.
Looks like a kia
Looks like a Toyota highlander to me lol
"LoOkS LiKe A mAzDdA"
CVT trans....NO THANKS
Thanks for watching a Nissan video just to make that generic comment.
I owned a Juke SV awd for 4 years and never had a problem with it at all, and I live in northern Ontario Canada where we get lots of snow and -40 degree temperatures, so therefore the Nissan Rogue SV awd is at the top of my list for our next car.
Boring review
NISSAN IS GARBAGE. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANY OF THEIR VEHICLES.
Garbage!!!Wht are you talking? It lasts forever compare to Toyota and Honda Cvt.Drives and corners 10 times better than RAV4 or CRV
I'm glad they tested this vs. all the rest doing top trims. This is the one most people will buy whether AWD or FWD and it looks pretty dang good.
If the engines are like that any of the last three years there transmission problems CR-V problems their piece of junk so they didn't do nothing new today engine so it's still a piece of garbage
