This is my favorite clip from this movie. Walter Brennan looks out of his element, but Heifetz is definitely well within his element. He was one of a kind.
Jef costello Thank you! I’ll admit I’m a bit embarrassed. That’s twice I’ve asked about and have been linked to the Mendelssohn concerto and haven’t fully listened to it. perhaps I should get to it..
@@ab20_ You think too much, mendelssohn violin concerto, and most of the famous songs, the original song is not what we hear now. Heifetz adapted them a lot, and...now violinists also like heifetz's modified version. In addition to the difference in speed, heifetz's right hand made these songs sound different. If you don't listen to heifetz often, you won't recognize these tunes :) I would recommend you this live performance without falsification. The combination of two emperors. Listen to it a few more times and you will find a burst of spiritual energy floating in the sky... ruclips.net/video/CvcRTTqHEyw/видео.html
Jef costello It’s true.. I think to much, even to my own detriment sometimes. Thank you. I just finished listening to it. It was amazing. Heifetz is without a doubt my favourite violinist. There’s something about him that draws me to him. I love his style
brilliantly, but apparently after these years humanity has turned somewhere in the wrong direction ...
So true.
He seemed to enjoy so much playing the Mendelssohn with all those kids!

THE BEST 小提琴家THE WORLD EVER HAVE!
I believe the piece is Tchaikovsky Melodie Op. 42 No.3 for violin and piano
It's mendelsshon violin concerto 3rd movement.
@@xicor4ss The piece Heifetz is playing with piano ... you are correct about the piece with orchestra.
Yes, it's Melodie. The accompanist is Theodore Saidenberg, who also accompanied Heifetz offscreen earlier in the movie for 'Estrelitta.'
