I ordered mine directly from the manufacturer and it arrived today. I have the x0, X1, and X2 lights and have been very satisfied with those. Additionally I have a keychain light which is very flat with the emitter on the side - can't recall the name.
The L1 is a big disappointment however, sorry to say. After taking the protector off the battery and reassembling first thing I noticed was I picked the light up and it turned on. The switches are amazingly sensitive and I can see this turning on in a pocket if you don't lock it out. This happened more than once as I was lightly handling the light. They are way too sensitive!
However what capped it all off was the fact that the USB port is dead. Can't charge through it and can't discharge from it into another USB device. No lights, red nor blue, When plugging into the port and I tried several different cords.
I've contacted them and I'm waiting for a reply. Really too bad and I expected better. Hoping that this is merely an anomaly as the output and design features, aside from the switches, seem to be worthwhile.

No moon mode, it starts off at low which puts out 35 lumens.
