Thank you for your comment. I would be happy to put your mind at rest. Yes I did compose the music for 'The Count of Monte Cristo' it was as you say an animation series. A co production between UK and Italy and animated by Halas and Batchelor. I recall it was as you say 1973. I think I have a copy of the music on a 1/4 inch reel to reel tape.
