全線135kmほどの鉄道であるが、2011年の豪雨などにより、会津川口以西が不通となっていたが、現在は開通している。会津川口までには5つもの橋脚があり、いずれも周囲の山々や川、樹々と相まっ美しい景色となっている。
The entire line is about 135 km, but due to heavy rains in 2011, the area west of Aizukawaguchi was closed to traffic, but it is now open.There are as many as five piers up to the mouth of the Aizu River, and all of them have a beautiful scenery that is combined with the surrounding mountains, rivers, and trees.
