This is not about race, it's about how we choose to live, how we choose to act, and the desire to better ourselves. We've got to live together and work together to move forward together.
When I was in the military, we were told time and again the only color that mattered was green. Using race as an excuse is wrong. You can't blame crime on a color anymore than you can blame all of your problems on a color.
It's not a black or a white problem; it's an us problem. We need to work on us and we need to do it together.
