🦴🍖🦴🍖 Im gonna be like your parents when I get old🤗. Im moving toward the category of drought tolerant plants😁. With this high temperature🥵💯 during summer, those are the only plants survives. Thanks for sharing another great video🥰
Your parents have a beautiful and interesting garden full of surprises😌🤲💖That long cylindrical cacti is an austrocylindropuntia subulata. Native to the Peruvian andes and likes the california weather😊That supermarket needs a gold award for their awesome variety of indoor plants😁🙌✨I enjoyed watching Patrick🤲🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Moms got good taste no wonder your a plant head💚 that grocery store so beautiful reminds me of a co- op we have here that I never go to because it’s too expensive 🙃
The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Ty for sharing. Congratulations on the 20,000 subscribers. Happy birthday! And I'll see you in the next video.
Hi Patrick thanks a lot for sharing this Secret Garden! As you my plant passion comes from my mother and my grandfather (he was a professional gardener and called his daughter= my mom, Flora! ) i understand so! Now as my mom passed away, having plants around me it’s like she be still with me. 🌼🌺🌸😘
Lovely garden with fabulous plants Who is taking care of these beauties now My Mother had a greenhouse so took my love of my plants 🌱 from that Thank you for the tour Maybe you could hire a gardener to sort things out till they return home Hugs, honey xx
I never knew about silver squills (ledebourias) until a couple months ago when my brother brought me one that desperately needed saving. Within days of me repotting it, watering it, and giving it some support and light (it was fully keeled over and ready to give up when I took it in 😂😂) it immediately perked up and was putting out new shoots and leaves all over! So rewarding!!
Patrick, I do enjoy your planty adventures - especially when I'm feeling cranky. They mellow me right out. Up until I was in second grade, I lived in Marin County and we had a huge Dancing Lady (fuchsia) outside the kitchen door and across the street was a nursery. I wasn't supposed to, but I always cut through the nursery on my way to school. Not sure I'd be allowed to walk by myself these days, but it was only a couple of blocks. To this day, I can close my eyes and smell that nursery smell in my mind.
Patrick, I Inherited my love of plants from my mother too, unfortunately I didn’t inherit her green thumb. Thanks for a tour of your mom’s plants and Vons. I’m going to take a second look at Vons houseplants because the prices you quotes were very reasonable. Love the oncidium Joe gifted you, they are so easy to grow. My oncidium blooms twice a year and it was a bday gift too. Thanks Patrick, Amy
I think the side cactus is Austrocylindropuntia subulata aka Eve's Needle, or Eve's Pin. I have it!! It's one of my favorites because it looks so different when it's getting extra attention vs normal attn vs neglected 😂😂 yet she continues to thrive in any situation. Loooove it
I too inherited my plant love. My favorite thing is when I have the opportunity to visit my mom (neighboring states) and we exchange propagations. It makes our time that much more special. I am trying to pass on the plant love to my children as well. Thank you for sharing this video with us.
Just found your channel today and I am looking forward to learning what you have to teach, and seeing plants you love to show. Thanks Patrick! I'm in Calgary, Canada and we have such different growing conditions than yours. I love begonias and jewel orchids and I provide humidity for both using cloches. Loved todays tour, wonderful cacti and succulents!
Holy Crap that Von's was amazing! None of them were like that "back in the day" when I lived over in Long Beach. But that was 20+ years ago tho' - so times have changed - A LOT! Loved seeing the old homestead, got bit by the houseplant bug thanks to my mom and some family friends that had a greenhouse stocked with orchids and hoya where I grew up in Northern Utah.
Soooo nice Patrick thanks for sharing your parents plants iam sure when they get back there would be plenty to do. Succulents and cacti are so forgiving.
Hi Patrick! I just stumbled across your channel recently; I’m a newbie plant daddy! Your content is amazing, and your personality shines so bright in your videos! I hope you always love sharing your plant love and knowledge with us! Subbed and belled!
Hey Patrick! When you take a picture of the plant and then click on it the iPhone will tell you what it is… sometimes gives a couple different options. Maybe give that a try
