Awesome find! We have the same first model kit built in common. I too made the 48th scale Monogram Hurricane Mk.II, way back in 1976. A nice haul! All the kit boxes bring back a flood of memories!! Thanks for sharing
@@escaperealityhobbies Aye! Certain images trigger those memories and the emotions that come with "looking back" to what seemed a happier, simpler time
Glad to see you! Amazing finds Tom. It's stunning at those prices! I'm still spinning especially for 1/32 and 1/28 kits. Give your stash away!!! 😱😱😱 You best get to the bench immediately! Put me in for the SPAD.
@@escaperealityhobbies Nope. I've had a pretty good bit of clean up on the body. I finally am getting the rough spots out of it and hope to put the multipart thing together. I'm still trying to work out what glue I can use on this hard plastic. Liquid glues are not really melting it, and CA doesn't make a strong bond. I started using tube glue on the wheels & tires, But it's always so messy for me.
Yesiree indeed Bill! I got rid of most of the stash I had in Maryland and here I am doing it again!!! 🫣 I'm looking at doing one of the old Monogram box scale aircraft kits first...
Tom, you found more Gems. They look great. I built a Revelle 1/32 P-40 of that Era many moons ago. The Good Lord had a Blessing for you. And now you are passing on. Thanks, my good man. I wouldn't mind a chance to build another one. I would like the P-47 Thunderbolt. Well Thanks for letting us have a look. Well from your Friend in the Heartland, Isay for now Over and Out.
Okay, Thunderbolt. I built these kits as they were released, but I missed that one P-47 razorback. They are a joy to build. Just enough parts and easy to build.
Great score. The black sprue in the lightning box is a set of tools. Clamps, spatula, tweezers, none of which are usable. Way back in the last century when you joined the revell master modelers club you got the same tree and a quarterly newsletter. SPAD 🤞
Nice to see you again after a while. Always amazed how you find such interesting kits in the least expected places! SPAD in 1/28!!!😂 Seems they were all large scale. I got a tiny 1/72 SPAD by airfix but is a pretty awful wornout model despite newer decals and a plastic sealed box. It always seems sad that a kit sits in the dark, closed and sealed up for 50 years waiting for eager hands to appear. Yep i just humanised a piece of plastic. Anyways, glad to see a new video and thanks for making me laugh too as finish off my latest project. Good health and happiness to you and Mrs. Escape reality! 😊 Des 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks and I appreciate you watching! It's true... models just sit around or go from one set of hands to another. They're made to be built, not collected and hid away.
Looks like you got another score. Given the age of these kits, i wonder how the plastic is. Is it brittle or dry? I am certainly a WW2 enthusiast and for that reason i want to go out of my comfort zone and go for the SPAD.
Thunderbolt- love your postings - great fun......!
Thanks for watching! Hope to get another video up soon. Going back to work after the hurricane seems to have taken all my hobby time away! 😔
Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah! 😁👍🙏
Very cool finds. Glad to see you again. Hope all is well.
Thanks for watching! I love the old stuff. 😉
Cool 🛩
Great score! Congrats
Definitely a blast from the past! Thanks for watching!!!
Thunderbolt, you are a lucky guy for sure, stay dry today!
You too!
THUNDERBOLT! 😊

Wow impressive kits, THUNDERBOLT
Thanks for watching! The Thunderbolt was a massive fighter.
Awesome finds! Those are true “classics” which still build up into great display pieces. I’d like to be included in the drawing for the “Thunderbolt”.
I'm glad you enjoyed them. It's ashame that models from the 60s, 70s and even to 80s don't get much attention any more...
Awesome finds. SPAD
That SPAD just looks like a powerful and sleek biplane!

Never done a 32 scale. THUNDERBOLT
They're big and take up some room... but a lot easier on the eyes and really, really cool to display!

You said it... I think I enjoy the memories more than building! Plus... memories don't take up as much storage as the kits do!!! 😂
Memories take up a lot less space than the kits do!!! 😂

@@VinceWeston Yeah... old plastic kits are usually pretty hard and brittle.
Great additions to your stash, Tom. Better build a kit.....or else. Hahaha.

SPAD please for me. Thanks for these "finds" videos. They are an inspiration to go out hunting!
I thank YOU for watching!!! I think for a lot of us "older" folks, we like the memories and nostalgia of it all. 😉
Just found your content. So cool. Stumbled upon jewel finds at our local NAS museum in Erma NJ. Love your channel. Hooked!
Thanks for watching! It's amazing how finding these old models bring back memories and give us just a wee bit of joy!! 😉
SPAD, please. Great video and what a find at any price. Good luck on your next foray. Mjd
Thanks! Lots of "elderly" in my area which equates to finding some really old kits from time to time...

I think the P-40 was a favorite of many youngsters in the day!!!
Tom, for some reason there is a problem with the so proxy server. Could you email from your end. For now, Over and Out.

I'd love to get my hands on all the old Revell 1/32nd scale aircraft. I built their P-40 and Wildcat. Thanks for watching!
Eventually they do show up on ebay.

I have kept a few old dried out Pactra paint bottles that have 10 cent and 15 cent price printed on the caps. THUNDERBOLT
Those would be cool to keep around for nostalgia reasons. I remember the texture of the bottles being so different from Testors.

@@escaperealityhobbies : yeah it is true. However I gave my collection to IPMS os Seattle, they will find good homes for my models!

Good question about being brittle. However, most kits from the 70s used the hard plastic to start with. We get spoiled with the new pliable stuff... 😉
Worked at a hobby store in the 80s that sold Pactra paint.I always thought there product was superior and offered way more military colors.
I remember they did have a nice flat colors/military range!!! 👍
