Tight turns and hillclimb: • PETERBILT 379 - Hillcl...
There is actually a decent amount of space that I’m backing INTO, but the issue is the road in front is so tight that I have no room to “wiggle” the tractor around to get the trailers into position!

The master does it again , blindside too .your calmness is the key . Well done Matt . Oh and " I wish I had another couple of inches " ..we've all wished for that one at some point or another 😂😂😂 great vid as always .
This is incredible driving. Very impressive.
Awesome work, I was feeling the pressure from here. A blindside is hard enough when your trailer doesn't bend in the middle. Lol
EVER HEARD THE SAYING I HAVE MORE MILES BACKING UP THAN YOU DO GOING FORWARD? CALLTHEMALL MEANS IT. YOUR A LEGEND IN THE BACKING INDUSTRY DRIV'AH
Amazing driving, there is no words to say on how difficult it is to back up one trailer let alone a B train and on the blind side too boot. Incredible work my friend. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.
Thought I watched all ur backing vids then I found this gem 😁😁😁
I have the utmost respect for you and your skills handling your rig!
Cheers
Doc
Awesome. You should teach us what all and where all to look while backing and how much are we supposed to tuen the wheel while backing .
Amazing backing 👌🏼👏🏼
I’ve tried twice to record a video on how to back up, and both times something has gone wrong and I can’t use the footage!!!🤬 I’ll get it one of these days though 😂
I gotta say, you make what's a challenge for me even in simulators look like a cakewalks. If style is doing something that's difficult and making it look trivial, then you've got bucketloads of it dude.
That's crazy. Mad skills man! Well done.
You make me want to go up to Canada and run B trains. I run double side dumps and can get them around a corner if I get lucky with the dolly. The trains look like such a challenge and you handle it like nothing. Love the videos keep it up!
My clutch leg is getting sore just watching you 😂
Great job mate! Makes me happy to haul 53 footers into Jersey City 😮
For a young dude that's some dam good driving if you ask me , very impressing , Look at the rubber just eat off them B trains when you turn , good job my friend ,
Be safe take care of yourself
nothin but some true respect here, sir❗️
Well done mate, showing off your incredible patience again, in Australia or at least in Victoria we aren't permitted to reverse a double in from the street, drive in drive out only.
Absolutely amazing I tell you! You make it look too easy sir. 😎👍🏻💯🤯
😓Wheewwwww You have the patience of a teacher, a kindergarten teacher. Rock on!
You always impress me backing up
Mate you're a beast, absolutely respect to your skills 👌👌
Good stuff man, really good! keep up the content im enjoying it as a new driver!
Nice work that's about as tight as ya go before the street delivery as a second choice. Blindside backing is a serious workout almost looks like the B trains make it easier in some cases and tougher in others thankfully one truck moved for ya safe travels see ya on the next one. 👍
Great job !!!!! Some next level skills …… Cheers🍻🍻🍻🍻
Nice ad 2:44 for Takeoff Cannabis, lol. Great work man!
You did a great job and far from it for me to tell you how to do your job but this is a tip that I use that may help you. When you were straightening your truck up and ran out of space in front, instead of redoing it or jumping the curb, I turn my wheel in the opposite direction so that your basically jackknifing it (in your case you would have turned the wheel to left). Once your in about a 45° angle, turn your wheel the opposite way and pull forward 5-7 feet, then turn back put towards the road and pull up. Once you start backing again you'll actually give yourself more space in front. I don't see alot of drivers do this but it really works and it's not hard on your tires if you do it right.
Number 2, this is why I prefer the Western Star 4900EX as it has the giant window in the bunk on the passengers side. I can blindside better than many people can drivers side back, lol.
I have no words. Mad respect.
That’s awesome to watch my friend !
Top work as always pal, keep um lit & get yourself a beer after that one!
Awesome skills right here folks 👍👍👍👍
Great driving as aways
Wow that was impressive to watch, bloody legend
Bloody awesome job driver! and...love that Cat
Great piece of Driving. I was the Coca Cola driver who pulled up. You were going to try and move for me. It is a pain to get in there with only a 48 foot trailer. I was wondering how you did it. Great driving. Cheers
Oh very cool, good to meet ya again!
@@callthemall small world - neat
Don't how u do it, but hats off. Also this is what I have to look forward to when I start driving a truck. Love the content
This is art Matt !! You're awesome and I still wondering why the guy in the white pick up at 5:50 doesn't come to ask if he could do something for you. Gooj job and stay safe !!!
Vehicle drives behind you while you're backing up... makes sense...
That was very awesome 🥰
Beautiful! Xx
hey, could you maybe do a video where you show/explain how you shift this thing? I don't drive trucks myself but I find these 18 speed transmissions (assuming you have one?) really interesting and I'd love to see how you go about up-/downshifting. Love to watch your videos btw, especially your backing vids. And I'm not even from north america, I'm from Germany. It's really impressive how you handle those b trains, you don't really get to see vehicles like this here in Europe. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you for the comment, I filmed a “how to shift” video this week, so it will be coming out soon!
@@callthemall Awesome!
Stressful dude! Well done 👍
I like your movies very much.
That’s really good backing, nice job at taking your time, however, as a truck driver myself, making smart decisions is the best thing to do, you gotta think is it really worth it to risk damaging something trying to back in somewhere tight? Especially when they can come out with a lift.
Curiosity…why do you use a B-train setup? Is it something you choose as a setup because you like the challenge? or are you told to haul B-trains? I’m always impressed when you back those things up. Very cool!
Once you get the hang of backing them up, pretty much everything heavy is better done with them 👍
Great video and calmness, you make anything look possible. Also you are so kind to the clutch and transmission, most truckers these days don’t have a clutch or gear
Shifter but you have all that plus two trailers. How much do you look at Google maps before each drop. Keep up the good work, cheers from the United Kingdom.
😊👍
Oh man, I study the heck out of Google maps satellite and street view before every delivery!!
Great work
cool as always!
id love to see a video of how you put the moffatt on the trains. we have straight trailers that it hangs of the back. good job backing in.
It’s not great but somewhere at the end of this video ruclips.net/video/jShski5N4-Y/видео.html
Good vid you might not be a doctor but you know how to operate LOL😎
I sure hope they pay you well for them skills you got.
Wow! You da' man! 👍👍
U did it 👏
Nice reversing job! How long is your b-train? Mine (in Denmark) is 25 meters...
I guess I should have finished watching the video before commenting as my advice is basically what you did at 9:58 or so. Also, that's what she said, lol.
😂😂
That'scrazy 💯🤯
I wanna say good job and Wana say u work to hard on readjusting but I couldn't see the front side so no idea wat space u had there so I'll let it slide lol p.s I said that before u mentioned recorrecting lol
Why is no one offering to spot you? It’s just crazy to do that blind.
Nice, that's what i'm talking about
Couldnt unload from the road? Good job by the way I’d been pulling my hair out lol
Also, just a quick question, it would be interesting how you get your moffat onto the first trailer with the second trailer still attached.
I’ll do something for that!
Would it of been easier to turning right and backing in on your drivers side or was there stuff in the way? Just curious is all great job buddy.
Normally yes, but it was a telephone pole, I believe, that was right at the edge of the corner that was right in the way
Skills
I'm not understanding how 1/4 payload can be left on the back half of the rear trailer without inducing the fishtail syndrome on the highway.
Do you have a video showing how the rear trailer is hooked to the front one? Would love to see it.
Good idea I’ll do one someday, but there’s a fifth wheel mounted on the lead trailer
Super 🖐️👏👍🥰
Boss.
If you go Turn around and Come back you can back up on Your side no?
9:46 I've said that my whole life
Honestly if you bought a drone and put it in the air that would solve your visibility problem when backing, I plan to do the same because modern problems require modern solutions
Hmm I was wondering if I’d be able to put in a drone shot in my videos somehow!
Are your side windows chops 6 inch?
You had to load of dirt did you ever picked up from st. Isidore Ontario off the 417?
Ah nope can’t say I have
I see you put some subliminal advertisement in @ 2:45.🤣
it was not possible to turn somewhere first????
😃1°
Begeistertnd....!!
How long have you been driving?
Since 2015 😎
That’s impressive
@ 9:51 That's what she said :)
Takeoff Cannabis....lol
Can someone explain to me the way they back? I drive for FedEx hauling doubles and man there is no way you can do that with those. I can back it up maybe a good 10FT and that’s it 🤣
Fifth wheel is mounted on the lead trailer, so there’s no dolly with even another pivot point 👍
@@callthemall hhhh I got it okay! But dude that’s still gotta take a lot of experience to do especially blindside you the man!
Show how load the forklift
Somewhere at the end of this video ruclips.net/video/jShski5N4-Y/видео.html
Try an old cabover. No hood in the way.
You didnt have the right to unload your trailers from the street? ordint have room enough for it?
More-so didn’t have room for it, plus it would be blocking a lot of traffic and a truck waiting for the dock lol
@@callthemall ah ok.than..i've tough that you had not lot of room for unloading your trailers in the street but you had better view than us..in front of our screen..loll
A 53' flatbed trailer would be alot easier and less aggravating to the operator than wanting to prove to the world I drive a B train and can blind side a B train...big deal but hay to rack its own
Красавчик! Под правую руку, с ДВУМЯ полуприцепами...
