But you shouldn't have to do that. I have a small Audew jump starter and I can start my backhoe with no battery in it and I never have to let it sit on a vehicle to start it.
@@russell388877 Your truck battery is probably creating a parasitic drain on the system which probably just about halfs the amperage that's actually getting to your starter. I have this same box and it starts my cayenne turbo's V8 with no issue...it's also important to leave it plugged in when you aren't using it because there's a battery management system onboard that lightly cycles the battery to prevent the battery from going bad. Perhaps you got one that sat on the shelf at wal-mart for too long

That's the big question with these boxes, ground to frame or not. I always ground to frame if jumping car-car, but not with the boxes. I think as long as you connect box to battery, THEN turn the box on, you're safe. If box is on when connecting the box to the terminals, could present a spark/safety issue. I'm not a mechanic though, this is just observation :)
We use this box in all our plow trucks for winter. (curtesy if a customer needs a jump). They have never failed to jump anything we've thrown at it. Just operator error. Its an easy 4.5 out of 5 box. The usb ports would use a little work is my only complaint.
Thanks for the review. I had previous model with 1200 amps. Every time somebody needed to jump it failed even on the v6 and forget about jump in my Cadillac V8. The unit was pretty much worthless except for pumping up your tires. This new model seems do the same thing.

Thing a pos. 1st air compressor goes. The screen ahows wrong voltage. It shows 24 volts. Stop charging at 12 or 3 bars. although it says 12.8 i hook up to my batt tester it said 20.4 volts. So they dont shut off when full like it says. It charges at .05 amp which is why it takes 3 days. Loved it for a year. Soon as warranty up boom everything in pristine condition. Used maybe 10x. Mostly for air and it pooped the bed as soon as i went to 2nd wheel. Also my spare sYs 60 psi. Wouldnt go over 40 even new. Alround garbage. Get the new lithium. Its been in my trunk fully charged and i just jumped a 6.7L. and the screen went right back up to 100%. All truths real world use. And i baby my stuff believe me. Now it says 24 volt with 25 cranking amps. But the inverter works for much longer. Things jenky

You wait so the other vehicles charges your battery then you try it. Same thing with jump box, it has to charge your dead battery. Even with a roll around charger you would set it to engine crank before you try it otherwise you would have to do what? Charge it before you try to start the car. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM!!! They are there for a reason.

@@russell388877 it's more likely to start an engine with no battery than one with a shorted out battery. A shorted out battery will rob the amperage needed for starting.
Hooking it to ground is the same as as hooking it to ground follow your ground wire from the battery buddy it goes rite to ground one to the chassis one to the engine block regardless weather you hook it on the battery ground or 6” away to the bolt it’s the same it should start I have one to it’s a pos air pump and usb and. 110 work fine the jump part don’t work
Not only are you giving it ZERO time to charge your battery before turning the key, but you're doing it ALSO with your door open..which also switches on internal lights within the vehicle as well as......ya know... It's insane to me that ...fuck it.. I should've bounced when I heard the accent

I Had this same problem, it only works if you turn the switch On the jumpstarter and at the same time turn the switch to the ignition.. it has to be timed perfectly or the jumpstarter will turn off..

Got a everstart 750 for Christmas and the damn thing doesn't work, had it plugged in for 24 hours, tried to turn the air compressor on and nothing. No screen no nothing, then I plugged it back in and pushed the button and the pump came on but it also turns the light on when you push the tire pump button then I push the light button and it turns on the pump then the light then I unplugged the machine and the LCD went off and nothing. Non of the buttons work This thing is junk. and when I tried to call the 877 number all I got was music for an hour. they do not answer their phones for service.
The directions in the box says you have to wait five minutes if you don’t fully follow the instructions you can’t expect the product to work as exact

You have to hook it to a ground, not both terminals. I have this exact same jumpbox and it starts my v6 no problem.

It had a ac adapter to charge it
It has a charging port that you have to plug into an outlet using an extension cord (not included). Look under the black square.

A good jump box will start a car with no battery. You can look at my other review and see A jump box start my backhoe without a battery

you press buttons twice so if you press the usb you jave to press it again for lcd to go out or the battery will die down.
my compressor came on by itself pressed to shut it off but light won't go out & blinks every few seconds.

Got this exact same box and it started everything I've put it on id buy another when this one goes bad IT MOST LIKELY WILL NOT START A JUNK BATTERY
You got to let it sit on the battery for at least 5 minutes before you try to crank it

You can use any jumper if the battery is stone dead
yours must be faulty,i got the exact same one and it starts everything from a stone dead battery no problem. Including diesel engines.

Seems like your car battery need to trickle charge. Jump starter doesn't on this dead battery.
