My staffy is the only reason I can get out of bed a lot of days. I got a red one. It's hard to be depressed when you see that staffy smile! And mine howls like a wolf in the morning. The best dog breed for kids and babies, they are very trustworthy and protective around children.
I actually live in Staffordshire and like everyone on my street has a staffy. They can be so good with children and they’re so friendly, and of course, so beautiful
I am heavily researching these dogs currently and it seems to be the general consensus that they are NOT good guard dogs. Being that they’re so intelligent and love children, would there not be any natural instinct to protect a child in their family should they sense danger?
@@LuxxVee They aren't good for guarding home or premises but they can be very protective of the people they're bonded too, sometimes overly so depending on body language ect. But then all you have to do is acknowledge them nicely and they stop seeing you as a threat, of course that's would be beyond some wrongens.
We've had our staffy for 6 months he's 2 now and my dog is identical to yours. And what a lovely breed to have. The 2nd night we had him he was sleeping with our cat who we have had for 2 years. No matter what people tell you this breed is the best. The original nanny dog. Lots of dogs try to bark and bite him when out on walks and our dog just looks at them stupid and just wants to play. Such an affectionate breed. Dont hesitate to have one. I can assure you, you wont be sorry. But in the first year of their life they do like to chew things when left alone so just make sure they got a chew toy to keep them happy. Wish i could put a picture of our rocco up to show you. Thanks for the video and your staffy is stunning too.
Kudos to you my friend. Staffies are the best. You're doing it right, everything you give them you will be rewarded for more than you can imagine. Mine is a a Stafford/boxer mix that wasAnna shelter for almost 6 months and was scheduled to be put down at the end of the week. People say I rescued him but the truth is he kind of rescue me.
Most underrated or forgotten of the bully breeds. Champion dogs, perfect family member. Their history is from Staffordshire England, were they worked in the mines, crazy ratters and mice killers. Very interesting history, check it out. Good job mate.
Aww this made my day! Staffies are people-loving sweethearts through and through. They probably won't do you much good for protection other than a deterrent, but they are just such wonderful companions. Very active, highly intelligent and trainable. I almost think this dude didn't put enough emphasis on how AMAZING they are with children.
This is the point. My Stafford has grown up with my son. He won't leave his side and my pup will not have anyone shout at my son without intervening........
What a beauty. I love how you give him free roam of your house .he will never get board with yout beautiful garden .I've only ever owned sbt best breed ever . I hope their Is another video soon .thankyou for sharing this brilliant video 😘
I had my first staffie for 16 marvellous years and my second for 15. She's been gone for nearly two years and I'm now ready to bring another little bugger into my life. I'm in the process of adopting a rescue staffie at the moment. He's a one year old little bundle of chunky love, as they all are.
100% on point about the breed. Mirrors my experience so far. I'm curious about going raw diet with my pup as well. Indeed many thanks for the grind you put in. Every minute shows
I got a Staffy as a rescue Dog in May of this year. What can I say, life changing. He is a real character and has a beautiful temperament. 2 years old with the attitude of a puppy. Shame is I have noticed some people are scared of the breed and as most of us dog owners know dogs pick up on their owner emotions. Lovely dogs. Highly recommended but they do need their walks and they like to play as well so be prepared to put some in for a happy dog, you will be rewarded :)
I enjoyed this documentary. I rescued a approx. one-year-old, 70 lb. Lab/Staffy in July 2018. My girl is high-energy and very loving. In hindsight probably adopted a dog like this at age 71 was probably a bit much. But for a younger, stronger, more active person I do recommend them.
These dogs are amazing I had a staffy and my nan had 2. Sadly mine died at the age of 14 in January I miss her everyday :( she was the best dog u could ever ask for she never bitten or nipped I loved her to bits. Unfortunately there are so many bad rumors going around about them and it's really not true deffinetly recommend this dog cause they are easy to train, loyal and also very good for a active family
My rescue staffi has Separation anxiety ,a pure lovebug,no good as a security dog he would lick any burglar to death!! Blue is 8,I rescued him about 4 months ago. He has learned so much since I got him,so he is clever. Yours is beautiful 💙 Never met a staffi who didn't like a ball,Blue is obsessed with it!! 💙
I've had a few saffys now, can't see me having another breed. As far as protection, mine will let u in the house but if u go near the kids that's when he's got something to say. He gets a bit confused when the kids fight but both of them are able to command shadow to go lie on his bed. Is nice to see saffys doing there thing
The Staffies I have met working for a rescue have been wonderful dogs who love people. Not tough at all but silly fun and cuddly. I think responsible owners protect their dog not the other way round. Did enjoy the vid though.
@@ibbysadventures550 Depends on the temperament of the dog - some are more reactive than others. I wouldn't recommend training a staffie for protection at any rate - far better as household pets and companions.
Agreed. Bitesports are a super fun sport, but when people start talking as if they expect the dog to actually help the out in a real life situation, it gets kind of silly. (Plus, why would you intentionally put your dog in a position to get hurt?)
Tr Vlogs I think bite sports are fine for these guys as long as it’s more of a game. You really shouldn’t rely on them for protection like you would a Mal. They’re way too friendly to keep you out of trouble. But still , lots of fun for both of you

DITTO that!""" 😇
So great to read a comment from somebody who clearly knows the breed! Yes, they are wonderful with children. Just the best dogs!
I have owned 2 over the years,Fantastic dogs.
Mine is 11, but still acts like a puppy. Best dog I've had and I've had many.

Great owner - great dog... and jealous of that big backyard. He's a lucky pup :)
What a lovely bond they have. That’s what owning a dog is all about
props to this dude hes done all his homework and is doin everything right by this beautiful dog
As somebody from Staffordshire in England who breeds Staffordshire Bull Terriers, that black staffie is a very good breed.
Matt Y do you have any puppy’s at the moment...
Simon Symeou no not at the moment. Our champion girl just had a litter of 7 in February, so no plans to breed her again for a while.
No problem, many thanks wish you best..

Staffies are nick named the Nanny Dog, best Dog for children, also such a loyal breed. Mine is called Bobby, and I love him so much

Don't encourage this type of behaviour with Staffordshire bull terriers this is bot whatthis breed is about

Oh, yeah! I always take my dog for a bike ride. He likes it so much he'll sit by the side of the bike by himself if I touch the bike.
I like how small and compact staff bull terriers are. They're the best all round breed. Biggest bang for your buck.
Never owned one but I like them

I would like to see more people doing agility work with them. (and therapy work)
I should I have an amstaff you should come over baby and help me with that 😘
My staffy mix is a saint. I will tell people, from my experience, they need to be worked more than the average dog or they will be anxious dogs.
his teeth are beautiful!!
