My Dad got us an English Bull puppy called Missy when I was 10 years old due to having fear of dogs, she passed at 15 when I was 25. I couldn't of asked for a better friend growing up
One of my all time favorite breeds. I had the privilege of adopting one once that was stolen from its owners that were later found and we reunited them after a couple months. Great dog.
Yes one of my all time favorite breeds also, but it's said they are not a good choice of breeds for a first time dog owner. They are also a very expensive breed that have many a qualities aside from their awesome power. In fact many certified breeders will not sell a Bull Terrier to just anyone.
As a bull terrier owner, they're somehow both very smart and dumb as a bag of bricks at the same time. My dogs will pull ocean's 11 heists for food AND get stumped by a plastic bag in front of the door
You will never get a more adorable, energised, faithful, playful and hilarious breed of dog. They absolutely melt my heart, and you will never laugh so much owning a dog, as you will this beautiful breed. ❤
Everything you said was true about this breed had Staffordshire bull terrier he was a great example of the breed but me and the wife always loved the English bull terrier so we got a miniature ingy bull terrier had him 11.5 years from a puppy sadly passed away so now got a little girl and she’s a standard with good pedigree so going to be big girl but I’m looking forward to the journey with this beautiful breed

So sorry for you and your family’s lost , I lost my 9 year old yorkie Tony , then was giving a 6 month old bull terrier she’s different but, oh my goodness she helped me through my lost and I’m loving her , training is different sometimes hard but, she’s so much fun can also be demanding so that’s when I have to show her I’m the momma boss lol also have a 3 year old and a 13 year old so far so good , I enjoy watching keeping up and learning about my new family member so I can make sure I’m doing it right , never want her to run in the street like my yorkie did 😢have to be the best dog mom with training from bad things
Ugly?!? No, they are gorgeous. People can be so shallow they can not look past the word 'bull' in their name. Thank you for bringing these beauties into my home.
Had a white full grown one for 11 1/2 years. The only 2 things that made her move was food or throwing a golf ball for her. Tennis balls would last 2 throws and be bit in half by then. Softest dog in the world, even when dogs went for her she was so laid back. I used to walk her to the beach and she'd get the zoomies as soon as she reached the open sands. She was so strong, she ran and took me dad clean off his feet, she couldn't steer her zoomies lol.
Hello everyone! What do you feed your dog?? I have a 2 1/5 male that seems to lick his paws like crazy. Please help us!? English bull terriers are great but the allergies can be frustrating, I just want to help him
I've had English Bullies my whole life. Still have 4 of them now. Never a dull moment, that is for sure loool. So easy to train if you have food and toys.. Just make sure you know a bit of DIY because you will need to keep fixing random things 😂😂
Yes growing up, the saw had to be on hand if one of the table legs was shortened by our bullie. Then you had to saw off the other three legs to level it.
When I was a kid in the 60's, my parents took me to see the Disney movie, The Long Journey. It had a golden retriever, a bull terrier and a cat. That's when I fell in love with the English Bull Terrier.
I had a male called Kaizer in South Africa from 1994 to 2007...THE best dog anybody could ever ask for, he was the runt of his litter so was a little smaller than his siblings but what he lacked in size he made up for a thousand times over in heart, loyalty and love...he was AMAZING! Not a day goes by that I don`t think about him...
I had an EBT for 10yrs, I absolutely love the breed, great to see them working.....my boy wouldnt do anything, if he saw the front door open he'd be gone!! No recall, stubborn and pig headed !! But absolutely adorable. The best description I ever heard was. They have the Body of a Gladiator and a Heart of a clown.
I love the breed! We're on our third. She's about 5 now (she was a rescue) and pretty lazy. She'll do zoomies for a couple of minutes, then nap the rest of the day. Unlike our previous two, she shows very little interest in toys. She loves everyone she meets, and just loves being around people. One con of the breed that people should know is that they tend to have bad skin allergies, and that deafness is common in the all white ones. Bullies can be a pain sometimes, but they're worth it!
I had my white bully for over 10 years and he was 2 when he came to me...he loved his long walks through woodland and fields and yes he was definitely the class clown...but he loved people especially children and just knew when to be gentle...he had a stroke about a year before he died so overnight became an old man...I remember this little boy with his mum thought my bully his name👍was a baby cow 🐄 which was funny and he would snore so loud I'd have to put on the subtitles 🤗... If I win the lottery and had a little ramshackle farm I'd have another at a drop of a hat...the first one I ever saw was when my sister worked at the local dog kennels and when I got mine back in 1990 all the old ladies in the village I lived would recognize the breed straight away and would say oh my it's a English bull terrier I've not seen one since I was a little girl...and to finish off my English bull terrier would nibble my ears he couldn't get enough...he was just a silly bully 😥🤗😆😆😆🐄
Finally, the awesomeness dogs ever. 🥰 My first was an rescue mix, but sadley past away after having cancer. Miss him dearly. My second one is an fully breed BT and such a amazing and loving boy. I will have a EBT for the rest of my life, they are such misunderstood dog breeds. But surely are great and I'm in love with this breed. ❤
When I was a child I remember seeing a bull terrier for the first time, something about their egg shaped head fascinated me. Years later I wanted one, but wasnt by the means, but deep down I told myself Im going to have one. Just last year at age 33 I got my first bull terrier, his 1 year 2 months now. Really stubborn but smart aswell, he observes everything even opens the door handle of my room to where I must lock my room at times so that mr Rocky dont get quiet and up to mischief. I love him to bits, very nice breed, just need to educate yourself before getting the breed, but very affectionate dogs.
Agreed, your `responsible` being a very important word & deed to any dog owner regardless of breed, so many dog owners these days don`t take the responsibility they should.....I see this so much as I walk my dog.
Ive owned 2 white bull terriers and they are so funny and loyal dogs. They either want to sit on there arse and get fed or bounce off every couch in the living room😂. They are the best dog breed by a mile! Very strong and tough but also very laid back and cheerful
Best guard dog I have ever had which was astonishing. He was built like a tank and guarded our premises with a passion. Also very obedient with no prior training.Great breed.
I got my first bullie , he's just over a year now. I'm so hooked on this breed. Absolutely amazing dog. Just love my pup to bits and yes the food thing is huge 😂.
One of my favorite bully breeds, and one of the only bully breeds I actually really like both miniature and the standard a lot of people also use them to hunt
I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this breed. I grew up with 3 of these Bullseye 1975-1987 Twist (Minature) Monks Along with 2 Boxers. They all taught me so much especially the bullys... And they do extremely well with the Puppy culture programme... Beautiful, funny, craziest breed.
Used to hate their look, grew to love it over the years. My Bull Terrier x Stafford is such a lovely dog and I have met multiple wonderful pure breds. I do want a purebred in the future :)
If you’re talking about working & sporting type bull terrier you have to mention the Ingles line bull terriers. Anyone in the sporting/working bull terrier world knows about the Ingles lines, they’re a completely different kettle of fish compared to the KC dogs. Also the exaggerated head didn’t appear till the 60s-70s when Oppenheimer starting breeding for the exaggerated feature, before that it was a straight slope, no egg heads.
True the egg came later but the loss of the stop was early 20th Century and yes, it developed further from there as the shape gained popularity. The Ingles and other working lines are of course, fabulous examples of the breed, I just don't have any and work my KC lines in dogs sports .
I prefer the straight slope over the egg head. My bully lived to 14.5, white w black eyepatch and smaller for the breed but so incredibly loving. Any drive thru I went to with her in the front seat always put a smile on the person at the window. She had skin allergies in her younger years but a trip to the beach and a swim in salt water, rather a stand in since she never swam, would put an end to it. No one ever mentions that remedy but believe me it always worked. Miss her still.
Our bull terrier lived with kids, a toy dog and cats and was the most loving dog we have owned. We miss him every day and look forward to having another when we retire
huge smile on my face while watching. Thank you. Bull terriers are best! As happy owner of one of those alien creatures, agree with most of what was said here. mine is not so energetic, more couch potato and not so stubborn. They have huge hearts full of love to humans.
My wife and I got our first Standard Bull Terrier in 1987. Since then we have lived with bull terriers continuously. Now that we are getting old, we have three mini bull terriers. One, six and twelve years old.
Felt in love with bull terrier when I was five, when i saw Meatball from Black Sheep Squadron. Took my first one at 33yo, a nice standard from a shelter. When He passed away, it took me 3 years to get a new one. Changed the color and most of all, I took a mini.... I was worried not to get the same characteristics as standard... Finally I found the same goofy part, the same love for food, the same "crazy part", the same "glued to me" part... I lost this dog one month ago... It will take time but I know I will have another one when I will be ready. Great breed !
It hurts my feelings when they say ugly , because they are unique to me ❤I’m trying to teach my bby girl not to jump she love kids we got her at 6 months, she wants to run and play with that ball too ❤
It's great to see trained bull terriers demonstrating their agility as it's rarely featured in videos. In a decade of breeding bull terriers i recognised two types, the one that is the same width in the arse end as the shoulders, white colour dominant & the one that is more athletic & tapered towards its rear end, brindle/black dominant colour. In general, I found the white one's that are brick shaped were food monsters &, if allowed, may get fat & lazy whereas the more athletic type were more inclined to be balls of energy.
Lovely dogs.I have a Bullterrier x he is a protective dog so I have to be careful when strangers come near me but he loves his family and gets along well with my other two dogs and our tiny kitten.😊🐾💟
Our Jack, nine, is as different personality wise from our previous bully as night and day. Super friendly with people, ignores other dogs. Has yet to growl in anger or show his teeth. Rarely barks. At a trim 75 pounds he simply "bullys" his way to wherever and whatever he wants. Very intelligent but stubborn and when asked to do something he seems to take the request as a suggestion. He has high blood pressure, controlled with several meds morning and evening disguised in hunks of Costco rotisserie chicken. Not a breed for everyone. Definitely a patience tester but friendless and affection are worth the sometimes hassle.
Had one a long time ago,it played Bill Sykes dog in Oliver twice at the theatre, kids loved it….ohh I long for another, very comical dog breed always put a smile on your face.
I've always wanted one. Just 2.5 years off retirement. Itll be first choice. Love the brown black and white ones. No time with work to own a dog, so looking forward to retirement.
5 Bull Terriers over 35 yrs, each a beautiful joy filled loving dogs...as they do require much from their person, know the breed before taking them on.........
I am surprised there is this standard breed as I was sure the miniature is actually the standard. Never seen a true standard dog in the streets. They have such an adorable character these dogs.
Amazing and accurate information as always, if it's posdible I would love to see an episode about the borzoi. There is very limited information about them and an overall stunning dog breed :)
So nice to see so many beautiful examples of the breed! Not a single “ugly” dog on the program today. I’m in the USA and there are soooo many ugly bull terriers, standards and minis alike. So nice to see nice dogs from everyone you visited.
I had 6 different dog breeds in my life(from Chihuahua to Beset and Bull Terrier) , including 2 mutts… And by far EBT are my favorite because of their personality that people usually overlook and associate with ugliness and aggression. I am on my 2nd one and I still face prejudice!
The strange thing I find about people avoiding dogs is the age ,people between 20 and 60 avoid us but everyone else loves us, i regularly get old ladies stopping us so they can stroke her and its the same story with teens.
I was just about to write "They're like marmite, you love em or you hate em", but you took the words right out of my mouth...personally i love them...💜🐕
However, just bare in mind that they are one tough breed and gotta know how to raise them.......The Bull Terrier is not a good choice of for the first time dog owner.
@@AngloSaxon-yx8tk oh I would never be able to own one, I'm disabled but have had the pleasure of getting to know one in the past that belonged to a friend ...🐕
Very, very energetic breed. These are not for everyone, they need a lot of outside activity and time to move and stuff. If you are a very active person and are out walking / running for at least 1 hour EVERY day you are starting to come close to the beginning of what is the bare minimum for these dogs to stay healthy. If you just want a more passive lapdog, look elsewhere. These dogs need a lot of cardio I am thinking about getting the Mini Bullterrier as it fits me better sizewise. I am glad that we got to see some differences between the mini and the "standard" Bullterrier in this video since I know nothing about the Mini Bullterrier that I am interested of getting for myself.

He has high blood pressure, controlled with several meds morning and evening disguised in hunks of Costco rotisserie chicken. Not a breed for everyone. Definitely a patience tester but friendless and affection are worth the sometimes hassle.
They are so adorable!!
Had one a long time ago,it played Bill Sykes dog in Oliver twice at the theatre, kids loved it….ohh I long for another, very comical dog breed always put a smile on your face.
This is one of the best videos on bull terriers!!!!
Sooooo cute 🥰😍🤗..Again superb vdo mam👍👍👏👏
They are so adorable.
Amazing and accurate information as always, if it's posdible I would love to see an episode about the borzoi. There is very limited information about them and an overall stunning dog breed :)
I'd love to see more sight hounds as well! Amazing dogs that are sadly being forgotten in time. I'd love to have one and a Silken some day.
The most fearless dog ever .. in the right hands the best fun loving dog you can wish for .
In the wrong hands ,,,pffff
I love these dogs their absolutely wonderful pets who couldn't love this face ❤
So nice to see so many beautiful examples of the breed! Not a single “ugly” dog on the program today. I’m in the USA and there are soooo many ugly bull terriers, standards and minis alike. So nice to see nice dogs from everyone you visited.
Hello from Levi the Bull Terrier in New Zealand 🇳🇿 . Great video. Never a quiet moment with a bully around 😊
Great dogs the bull terrier’s. Also love the bully billow collers and harnesses have one for my staff and my cane corso
The most beautiful of four legged people!😃
I love this breed. I have two Staffys but I think they are both very similar types of dog.
My bull terrier Argo is also trained, polite but if he sees food he doesn't think anymore
I had 6 different dog breeds in my life(from Chihuahua to Beset and Bull Terrier) , including 2 mutts…
And by far EBT are my favorite because of their personality that people usually overlook and associate with ugliness and aggression.
I am on my 2nd one and I still face prejudice!
I dont think there is any other dog with as much character as this breed :o) They are British through and through and love em :o)
English 👍
We have the Corgi the English have these mastiffs staffys etc etc😢😂it isnt fair😂@@Animalluva
Please can you do an updated video on the great Dane. Much love Stevie and the furs xxx
I love these dogs.
The strange thing I find about people avoiding dogs is the age ,people between 20 and 60 avoid us but everyone else loves us, i regularly get old ladies stopping us so they can stroke her and its the same story with teens.
I love this dog breed hope to get one at the end of the year
Had one for 15 years he has been gone how 12 years and miss him every day 😟
I was just about to write "They're like marmite, you love em or you hate em", but you took the words right out of my mouth...personally i love them...💜🐕
However, just bare in mind that they are one tough breed and gotta know how to raise them.......The Bull Terrier is not a good choice of for the first time dog owner.
@@AngloSaxon-yx8tk oh I would never be able to own one, I'm disabled but have had the pleasure of getting to know one in the past that belonged to a friend ...🐕
My favorite breed.
love the english bull terrier! so cute ♥
I love bullterriers, Spud McKenzie. Awesome dogs!❤❤❤🐾❤❤❤🐾❤
Amazing terrier breed
Love bull terriers.
i loved this episode! my best friend is a 5year bull terrier named Flacko
These dogs need a lot of cardio
I am thinking about getting the Mini Bullterrier as it fits me better sizewise. I am glad that we got to see some differences between the mini and the "standard" Bullterrier in this video since I know nothing about the Mini Bullterrier that I am interested of getting for myself.
My favourite dog.
A lovely breed of dog Anneka
I’d like see Anneka do an episode on the Carolina Dog aka the American Dingo! 😊
