Possibly Literate I would really recommend the Rae Carson trilogy!! It is such an amazing fantasy read with magic, romance and an amazing main character.
I'm reading Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue right now and I'm loving it! I find it to be incredibly Wildean. It takes a lot to endear me to sexist rake like Monty, but Mackenzi Lee did it and I am impressed.
I loved A Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue :) It looked so good when you hauled it that I got a copy for my vacation, and I devoured it! May I ask where your blouse is from? It's gorgeous!!
I've been looking at Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue and I think I'm definitely gonna pick it up! I need a good, funny read to balance out all my schoolwork. Love your videos Regan!
I'm so glad Poison Study was one of your favorites of the summer! It's one of my favorite series and it doesn't get nearly enough recognition. And you've definitely moved The Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy and the Monsters of Verity duology up my TBR list!
I still haven't read The Gentleman's Guide to Vice & Virtue but I really want to as everyone just raves about it :) This summer I started reading The Raven Cycle books and I am enjoying them so much
Not including all the rereads (because books like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Skulduggery Pleasant are impossible for me to rank because of sentimentality) Our Dark Duet was probably my favourite book I read this year, and definitely my favourite 2017 release.
Just finished the Tower of Dawn, SJ Maas' new book set in the Throne of Glass universe. 5/5, I greatly preferred it to both Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms. That's mostly because this book is more character driven than the last two which I definitely prefer. No spoilers but if anyone is following along I reckon this should be required reading, just as the Assassin's Blade novellas turned out to be. It also reintroduces Yrene from one of the novellas so I would almost recommend reading that as prep. But yeah, was good.
I'M DYING TO READ OUR DARK DUET. This Savage Song was SO good, I just need to know what happens next! I can only avoid spoilers for so long, plus her writing is just sheer perfection!
I always have to have my good reads open when I watch your videos! So many good recommendations! I have nor read a single Cassandra Clare book but I just reserved almost all of them at my library right now! haha
Yo, I'm reading The Copper Gauntlet right now. I'm literally reading it as I watch this video and it's so funny that that was the first book you mentioned in this video.
You've sold me on Our Dark Duet...I was (I dont know why...but I was) stuck on the fence about it but I'm just going to dig me heels in a give it a go!
I need to check out poison study! I love the old editions, it's so unfortunate that they're out of print now. This Savage Song is an amazing duology! 😍 The setting reminds me a lot of Gotham city 😛
The last book I read was Black Widow Red Vengeance. I really adore that series. Right now I'm reading from No Good Deed and so far enjoying it. Our Dark Duet sounds amazing. I really enjoy that series of books.
read the girl of fire and thorns foreverrrr ago and now i feel like i'm gonna have to pick it up again real soon!! also still not over lord of shadows and our dark duet they were both amazingggg. i recently have started the bone season series and i've really enjoyed that too!
I read Poison Study based on your rec, and really liked it. I have Magic Study from the library, but I've been hesitant to start it--the GR reviews go downhill sharply after the first book. Other two favorite books I read this summer: The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero (about the making of The Room, and the basis of the James Franco film. It's utterly hysterical) and Redshirts by John Scalzi.
I read The Girl of Fire and Thorns like 2 years ago and didnt realise it was a triology!!! So thanks to you ive started reading Crown of Embers and i am loving it..started it last night and already half way through it 😅
Some of my top books that I can think of right now of this summer has been Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood and Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. Love those books! :D
Tbh, I liked 2 thirds of The Gentlemen's Guide to Vice and Virtue, but then they started adding and adding stuff that had no place in the book IMO. I liked the characters enough to just have them interacting with each other, I didn't need all those random action scenes.
You've convinced me- the girl of Fire and Thorns (and basically everything on the list), intrigues me. So I shall read it. Lord of Shadows was brilliantttttt! Broke my heart. Don't know how I'm going to wait 2 years for a conclusion!
Analucia Palaciosmaldonado Yep! Next year the first book from The Last Hours comes out (which entertained with TID) and then in 2019, we get the the third book in it!
Best books I've recently read are absolutely by VE Schwab. Loved Savage Song and Dark Duet but, but.... A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC! *sigh* Pure magic and utter brilliance.
Em J I was nervous but it ended up kind of boring. All we did was get to know you activities and got papers that we need to get our parents to sign. I ended up really liking my teachers tho.
why haven't i continued with with the iron trials serie. like I own the other two😂 I have wanted to read the girl of fire and thorns for sooo long but i still haven't picked it up. I really want to read the gentlemans guide. haha maybe soon? if i had to pick 5 favorites from summer they'll probably would be: 5. the song rising by samantha shannon. 4. geekerella by ashley poston & the fill in boyfriend by kasie west (it's a tie) 3. the wicked + the divine volume two. 2. ruin and rising by leigh bardugo. 1. the winner's crime trilogy.
Sold me on Girl of Fire and Thorns! Going to add that to my TBR haha! Do you have a "feel good" book that you read when you are feeling sick or blah? I have my own, but I really want to know other people's comfort books as back up since Winter Is Coming lol
AvaRage Dreams I love feel good books. What ones did you have in mind? My personal ones are I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak (or just The Messenger depending on your edition), and the Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George.
Nicole The obvious choice would be Harry Potter, but to be more original I adored the Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke when I was little so that is a go to! Also, (nerdy childhood coming out) Redwall by Brian Jacques. I LOVE the Little Paris Bookshop, but I haven't read I Am The Messenger! I will have to check that out.
Do you know exactly how many books are in the Poison Study series. I think I've read 6 but the story still is wide open for more books. I didn't know if I was just missing them.
Our dark duet was a total disappointment as a conclusion. It's like she gave up and just ended it. So many unanswered questions. I love her but the character development and world building lacked
I would like the buy most of the books you read this month but you talk and go so fast that I cant write them all down I had to replay the video 3 times so I could write them all down. I love your channel by the way.
I just finished the monsters of verity. I read them both back to back. Wow. Those books. So incredible. And it broke my heart at the end.
Pridecat89 absolutely agree, my heart is aching after those books.
GAAAH SO MANY OF THESE I WANT TO PICK UP BUT THEY ALL SOUND SO GOOD IDK WHAT TO READ FIRST!!!!
Possibly Literate I would really recommend the Rae Carson trilogy!! It is such an amazing fantasy read with magic, romance and an amazing main character.
Aaaaaah that's the only series/book of these that I've already read! But I do want to do a reread at some point :)
Yesss!!! Love these videos!!!
I'm reading Our Dark Duet right now & LOVING it! She's the best!!!
HardbackHaven finished our dark duet a couple of minutes ago, and well, absolutely heartbreaking.
I'm reading Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue right now and I'm loving it! I find it to be incredibly Wildean. It takes a lot to endear me to sexist rake like Monty, but Mackenzi Lee did it and I am impressed.
Ariella Kahan-Harth Was tossing up whether or not to read it but you just sold it for me. I love Wilde so much.
Your top is so cute!!!
I'm currently reading "The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue", and I'm loving it! I really enjoy the humor in it!
I loved A Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue :) It looked so good when you hauled it that I got a copy for my vacation, and I devoured it!

i had been teetering on the edge of reading the girl of fire and thorns and you've convinced me. also i looooove that blouse!
I still haven't read The Gentleman's Guide to Vice & Virtue but I really want to as everyone just raves about it :) This summer I started reading The Raven Cycle books and I am enjoying them so much
You're forever my reading GOALS!! These seasonal videos make me so happy ☺️
Lord of Shadows and Our Dark Duet are in my TBR of this month, you just made me antecipated this readings Even more. Love The video!

6:30-6:37 yep that pretty perfectly sums up my reaction to all the Victoria Schwab books I've read too.
I'M DYING TO READ OUR DARK DUET. This Savage Song was SO good, I just need to know what happens next! I can only avoid spoilers for so long, plus her writing is just sheer perfection!
I FINALLY got my hands on This Savage Song. I'm about 100 pages in and I can already tell I love it
Two books I've loved this summer are Strange the Dreamer and Nevernight both so good!

Tbh, I liked 2 thirds of The Gentlemen's Guide to Vice and Virtue, but then they started adding and adding stuff that had no place in the book IMO. I liked the characters enough to just have them interacting with each other, I didn't need all those random action scenes.
I love your videos so much!!!!

AvaRage Dreams have you read the little Breton bistro yet? I haven't gotten round to it yet, waiting for the right edition to come out.
AvaRage Dreams and oh man I remember loving Redwall, though I couldn't tell you at all about what happened in it. I should reread them.
Nicole Glasson no I haven't read it yet! It came out close to my birthday and I was soooo close to getting it, but didn't. Should've... le sigh.
Yesssss my fav booktuber

The best book I read this summer was Simion Vs. The Homosapien Agenda
I loved the poison study but DNF the second :/

Tracy Olson can also try her healer series.
Have you read the iron daughter series?
Does anyone know where that shirt is from?
I don't think i've ever been this early!
Our dark duet was a total disappointment as a conclusion. It's like she gave up and just ended it. So many unanswered questions. I love her but the character development and world building lacked
