His voice is so full and emotional that even his performances with a base and another guitar was all he needed. Other musicians have commented on this. I just saw a clip from Elvis on Tour, where he's singing capella the Spanish version of it's Now or November to warm up in a large auditorium. His voice fills the space with his emotions.....

I love his gospel songs that the honest things when I'm upset that calms me down and I'm trying to get new internet because the old direct TV is no longer working at our apartment building so we had to get new so I'm having to deal with those so I'm stressed so Elvis is the only one that calms me down when I'm listening to his music

Wish Elvis would have played more. There's a sincerity and intimacy, that even with Elvis's piano playing skills being reasonably proficient or competent at best, and you quite possibly wouldn't be able to match it in a studio, with pro recording equipment and the best session piano playing maestros in the country whoever they were at the time.
