Great vid. I spent 16 weeks in a 13t machine clearing ditches, digging new drainage channels etc and then 4 weeks loading bulkers with manure, thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it all again if I had the chance.
Nice video 👍🏻 Little tip if you rattle your bucket instead of shaking your dipper in and out when you dump your bucket you won't rock nearly as much and you won't hurt your back.
Same problem here with people using ditches as a dumping ground for there lawn cuttings and tree off cuts just not decent of them but these sort of folk simply dont understand how the land works or even care. great to see you back on the digger pal and you not lost your touch.
Hi George, great video, love watching people on the diggers We own 2 Hitachi 13 tons and a komatsu 3 ton. Your good on it, better than some that’s hardly on it. Great video, keep at it. Were busy putting in a new road, not fun when it’s rained for 3 days ;)
Good to see a bit of ditch work being carried out. No one ever does that around here and the last time I operated a digger it was still lever controlled (no joy sticks) lol.
Hi George, typical of modern housing developers, they don’t worry what’s going on just the other side of their boundary fence! They sure left you with loads of rubbish to dispose of. How about dumping a few tons of it in their show house garden see how they like that!! You were doing a grand job with the little digger! As you said better than having to dig it by hand.
Generally clean ditches from bottom to top ie head upstream, move on less than bucket width so you can glide over last bit to get an even ditch bottom .nice videos, don’t fall out with the builders, you might be able to cadge stuff off them cheers ,when i grow up I want to drive a flash tractor, combine ,sprayer, digger,oh no! I woke up and the nightmares come true!
Your skill after four years still good with the digger, it is deplorable to see how disrespect for your neighbors, throwing all sorts of things over the fence ,creating habitats for rats or any other parasites, a question arises, but this ditch, does not have a continuation,to drain the sorrounding soil? Have a nice day George
We have a 13 and 4.5 at work, always find 13 better for ditching, especially on well over grown rough ditches. 4.5 tonners much handier for digging for drains with 18 inch toothless bucket. makes finding drains much easier.
I'm surprised you weren't tempted to put that rubbish back over the fence but I guess you have to consider it isn't the fault of the house owner. There has been a lot of water around this winter because there has never really been a week where there hasn't been any rain or snow. At least now we're in spring, it's the time of year where the sun is strong enough to dry everything up if there is a good dry week but that doesn't look inevitable any time soon so spring cropping looks like it will be late this year. I'm surprised you wouldn't want to connect the pit you dug to the drain on the other side of the fence before you filled it with half the water from that pond though haha.
Hi George, my 8 year old son & I love your vids. You have some very nice equipment/machinery. Do you have an open day on your farm? Keep the vids coming.
Am I imagining it or did the worklight bracket (broken) switch sides on the boom during this video. Looks different between 7:00 and 10:00 for example.
the builders are liable for that, like i said before hope you send them the blll for the cleanup, an make sure you report them to the council for flytipping, there is a heavy fine for that now,, what they done is illegal..
I take it there not going to bother taking down the security fencing now that they have put up all the wooden fencing. Typical that stuff gets dumped as usual for the farmer to clear up , id send them the bill for clearing it up.
My god, who even where the housing develpers, they certainly are not allowed to put all the rubbish on your land ,,legally thats classed as "flytipping" and they are liable to get a heavy fine for that, and allso they are responsible for clearing too, i would certainly get on to them for that, Blocking drainage ditches is illegal, as it can and will cause adverse flooding ,. send them a bill for all that work,..they get away with far to much,..
People have no respect for the countryside i bet if you hade a bigger 360 and chucked all the rubbish back over the fence you would have the old bill out doing you for fly tipping
I have to agree with Bill here. If you over-rev these smaller machines they can just become jerky and less controllable. You don’t want to be at idle but if you’re just cleaning ditches the 60-70% revs is about right. No point burning diesel for the sake of it.

I think that's disgraceful then builders chucking there shit in that dich... Thanks for sharing George have a good day...
Kevin Willis could be classed as fly tipping
Same problem here with people using ditches as a dumping ground for there lawn cuttings and tree off cuts just not decent of them but these sort of folk simply dont understand how the land works or even care.
great to see you back on the digger pal and you not lost your touch.
Nice video George, interesting about the type of digger and the trades you have to make for a "nodding digger" to an over hanging one 👍

Very nice again George, clearing ditches to get rid off all that water with the mini excavator 👌👍
Great video 👍 last time some1 did that to me I put all the crap back over the fence 👍
I really enjoy watching your videos George keep up the good work 😁👍

Report the builders surely George? Or ask for compensation for clearing their mess that they should have disposed of in the first place?

Nice George, here it is also very wet too ;)
Nice one George top job mate it’s too bloody wet at the moment we will soon have the dates for your days shoot 👍
Should of pushed the hedging through the fence so they need to replace the fence and clear there crap up
Another great video bit of a change being on a digger 👍🏻👌🏻
Nothing more satisfying than getting rid of water.
Lord Muck couldn't agree more! 💦✅
You should tell us which company built those houses so we can spam them about their lack of care of cleaning up there trash!
Thats not a digger its a spoon 😀

HD quality is amazing!! or is that no windscreen Lol :))
Nice little change of pace. Good little vid 🚜
Great video George 👍🏼. Looks like you could of done with something a bit bigger 6 or 8 ton digger 😃
Something like a 13 tonner or bigger still and brash it all off.
Reece Swann but it's extra weight jamming down the fields and isn't as mobile

I love hitachis 13 tonne ones but them 3 tonne jcb 0 tail swing are great for muckin out tight sheds
Great video George!
Nice one George. Them diggers get the job done!

Dig my back garden and the bottom bit to make u come down to tidy my lovely land
Hi George, my 8 year old son & I love your vids. You have some very nice equipment/machinery.
Do you have an open day on your farm?
Keep the vids coming.
Like the video George .
Looking good pal 👌👌
need the pins n bushes doing on that that’s shocking that bucket
Beast from the east is back
Am I imagining it or did the worklight bracket (broken) switch sides on the boom during this video. Looks different between 7:00 and 10:00 for example.
I like your vids
George you need to get a bigger digger than that the new jcb x maybe
George, what year is that? Looks very like our old one, even has a boom patch like ours... she 2006?
Little tonker toy there George.. could of done with summing bit larger 8/9toner maybe
Not a digger driver but look to be douning great job
I love ur vids
Just out of interest did you get the digger stuck lol
Really nice video!!! Greets Stefan
like the wildlife and newt fence..but why is it on your land,,..
I've fixed bridges with more damage than that.. takes a day, 2 at the most..
Did the builders dump tar in the ditch
Why are you not using the bigger bucket to move that mud? It only takes 2 seconds to change
George you shood have left it and have a nice duck flighting pond?
Builders or cowboy builders
You could have done with having a 13 toner that day george 😎
the builders are liable for that, like i said before hope you send them the blll for the cleanup, an make sure you report them to the council for flytipping, there is a heavy fine for that now,, what they done is illegal..
Bet the car drivers shit themselves when that m/c motors up behind them on a dual carriage way, lol.
That Bucket could do with being tighter
Nothing wrong with jcb mini diggers we have an 8014 cts
Hitachi Ex60 is the best for that job.
and this is why you farm on a hill the water just runs away
I take it there not going to bother taking down the security fencing now that they have put up all the wooden fencing. Typical that stuff gets dumped as usual for the farmer to clear up , id send them the bill for clearing it up.
How many acres do you guys do a year

Good vid I really enjoyed it 👍🏻
Where is your farm
Is the stuck jcb in the next one ? 😂😂
You should have put the trees over the fence
⚡
People have no respect for the countryside i bet if you hade a bigger 360 and chucked all the rubbish back over the fence you would have the old bill out doing you for fly tipping
Put it back over the fence
Those buckets look smaller than the ones on our 2.5 tonne volvo
You’ve probably nicked yours off a burnt out 20 toner Crofter yer wee helmet.
Lord Muck waste not want not
Haha spot on wee Crofter !
I’d drop the trees and crap over the fence back onto their gardens!!
George is your wife Lisa Saunders and if so does she work for wainwright?
Spencer chant no chap
Nope - don't know who wainwrights are either .....
Money for old rope
Should of left a dam and started from the bottom so you're not digging in water .good video though.
Thats a lot of damage to your land,..
That thing must have higher revs surely
And why would you run at higher revs ?
Bill Turner so then u don’t put stress on the digger, It’s like driving a manual car in first on the A1
Driving a car in first gear would overwork the engine. If you’re going to try and look clever, at least have an idea of what you’re talking about.
Bill Turner Any digger driver would drive on high revs coz u said it your self u over work the engine. And am trying to be clever mate
I have to agree with Bill here. If you over-rev these smaller machines they can just become jerky and less controllable. You don’t want to be at idle but if you’re just cleaning ditches the 60-70% revs is about right.
No point burning diesel for the sake of it.
Can't you complain to the council about it?
hi
George your intro TW sound is too loud.
You know what’s coming so turn your volume down you muppet.
