Last year was SO HARD, but the lessons I learned from trusting our Lord, going "no contact" (most heart breaking thing I have EVER had to do), finding a good therapist and finding this group have been SUCH a blessing. I listened to your video early this morning and thank you so much for sharing. I loved the 2 questions we should ask the Lord so I wrote them down to not forget. So while I was looking at Facebook, I seen this scripture which just confirms the 2 questions: Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. I think I have my goals for the new year!! Thank you again for being an inspiration to me!!
Thank you. I had a "run in" with 3 women at my church after service last Sunday. I felt injured emotionally because they harped about my political (but privately held) views. They insisted I should listen to a certain podcast they all listen to supposedly to be exposed to "the truth". As you can imagine this was a struggle for me. I am not used to such overt insistence that I conform to their point of view without really hearing me that I wanted to discern my own political viewpoint. Went out to my car and cried. I did speak to an elder of the church and he was comforting and was sorry this happened to me. He reminded me we are all sinners and that's why we worship together. Your talk today has helped me to work through my journey in this matter esp to seek Gods guidance. Happy New Year to you and your family❤

Thank you for this. A lot has been happening with my children and elderly parents, the weight is so heavy at times. Leaning on the Lord can bring so much comfort yet I try to carry the hardship alone. Why? I need to give it to him and allow myself grace in the meantime. His strength can bring so much peace. You are reminding me of this❤️
Consulting the Lord first is my 2025 resolutuon as well. I really hope to keep it up. I tend to rush in, look for solutions, document, plan etc the remember God. I know that He will give me all that I need

Thanks so much for the message and faithfulness to share it. I have minimal time alone and decided to play your video as i meditate on my intentions for the year. Prayer and fasting had been charged by the pastor, but adding gratitude and praise is a wonderful way to round out my intentions. My word for the year will be fortify. I want to strengthen my ship so flood waters dont overcome me. Isaiah 43:2. ❤ I plan to do that by limiting negative talk and influence and eating and exercising to strengthen my body and doing meaningful work and fostering meaningful relationships and community around me. 🎉 thanks again for the message❤

I realized that I was always reading a book on my phone when I was with my family, so I am going to be engaged when I am with my family and not on the phone. I thought because I was reading a book that was good, but I realized even though it was not social media I was still not engaged.

After my husband’s death, I decided to read the entire Bible in a year, and I did. Now I want to strengthen my faith and hope to join your Bible study. I've never bought air pods and I am not missing out. I try to talk to my husband and he is constantly "plugged in," listening to something. It's quite frustrating. Air pods further isolate us; a societal problem that has magnified in the last few years.
Please don't walk without your phone, I totally understand but just turn off notifications and tell yourself not to touch it unless there is an emergency. I live in a very safe area and I was walking my dog one day and a man in a truck was following me all over town. I didn't end up needing the phone bc I was on foot and he never got out of the truck so I got away but I'm glad I had it with me. ❤ love you and God bless you all!
You need something other than a phone to protect you in that kind of situation. Now, a phone would help if you start having a heart attack or stroke while out for a walk.
I would lije to join the Bible study but I work in health care and I work 12 hrs on Saturday. That's the problem with my church groups they have bible study on Saturday
