- Thanks again to @jwonggg for helping me with the content. Guilty Gear Strive Bosses go too crazy LOL. Sorry in advance for the mic issues, but since you guys liked the last IRL vid was good figured I'd post this one as well :)

My second attempt at IRL content, if we can get this to 2000 likes I'll make another one, this was too fun to make. Sorry about the audio quality issues, had to cut a bunch of footage because of it, I learned my lesson for next time LOL.
Finally, others can suffer these stage 9 bosses as well 😈
Swim, as the king of stage 9, which is the hardest?
@@twoinone_Nago and it’s not even close
@@twoinone_ I’d say May, especially with how Diaphone is doing it here. May just does any move and you’ve got like at least 3 other things that will spawn on the screen to kill you. Elphelt and Asuka are also up there, Elphelt has literal unblockable setups she’ll just do on you and Asuka(as seen in this video) is near unstoppable if he can get his offense started.
Faust is sooooo cheap. Even in a combo you can be knocked out because stuff drops randomly. He always throws 2 items and 1 is almost always a meteor. Plus you are always in afro state and his trumpet works against you always
@@TheFondalizer underrated boss for sure, but honestly feels like a slightly worse(as in easier to fight) May. Once he starts meteoring and mini fausting though, shit can get real grim real quick
A month ago, I felt I had improved my Sin gp, so I tried my hand at his arcade mode once again. stage 8-9 is against Ky, and in 9 he's in constant DI with another super in his kit. When sin first came out, it took me between 76-80ish tries combined. However this time It only took me 18-21 tries combined. If that isn't improvement then idk what is. Love ur vids!
7:01 No one told them that COM is a May main. Holding the mic the whole time must be rough, thanks for the hard work!!
Yo whoever the editor on this is, you're a legend
Touhou music and the EoSD continue menu during Boss Asuka is an excellent choice
tbh I was honestly both surprised and very happy at the touhou style editing during asuka's fight
Loved this lmao. Found it funny was holdin the mic to them while they were already mic'd up
IRL content is real fun, i love it
After watching Justin Wong's boss challenge videos I was hoping for a video with the GGST stage 9 bosses. They are ruthless and wanted to see how others fair against them. Thanks for the video. Lets get some more stage 9 boss videos.
Soo cool video and challenge!! Brilliant stuff Diaphone :).
With Potem is suprisingly easy, the bot doesnt understand grabs
Ok, I have been away for a hot minute. This was a fun watch lol
Nago is the easiest one by far though. I love my butterfly throw grab loops
There's actually someone that tried this but it didn't make the video.. they kept messing up the timing tho LOL
What a shame... RIP
If only I could be there... Would have made 100 for free lol. Might even fight through the arcade just to make it legit XD
Butterfly Throw?
First time seeing boss versions other than Nago.
I got the arcade stage 9 Nago trophy using Axl: double jump>throw>repeat. Dust combo or super when dizzy. But it took 67 tries. 😐Fun vid.
5:16 TOUHOU REFERENCE???? ty diaphone
8:42 My man said "Strive's my first game" and got fucking ERASED for it
This is the content I want!
Touhou music and sfx on the first 2 Asuka fight, nice.
I'd have a go at this. I think my stats say I have like 300 arcade mode runs.
wtf the sex bots got here immediately
My new headcanon is that Asuka has all this power at his disposal but is just to clumsy and panicks in a fight and therefore sucks in battle xD
I thought nago was the only one with a super boss. Cool to learn about the others.
This is so evil and i love it
One day they gotta add these boss characters playable without a mod
This IRL shit is great
If we do another one of these, please include Boss Ky, Boss Faust, Boss May and hopefully Boss Elphelt when the mod updates to have her.
Oh and if you'd like, you can check out the Boss Happy Chaos mod by Demonseth999 if you want a REAL challenge.
Yea if this does well I'd probably have a human control the boss characters instead for next time so I can include everything. In my testing the ones missing all were easier to beat than these lol
@@Diaphone A human playing the bosses seems literally unbeatable
@@Diaphone
Bruh, Boss Ky or Nago controlled by a human sounds (and is) terrifying.
@@Watburnt lol yea, would need to do something to even things out… I have a couple of ideas ngl
@@hazzydahaka13 With no blood penalty boss nago can loop bayblade-shizu indefinitely. A human player could actually just guarantee a victory by getting you to block once.
I personally love using anji to abuse the ai's need to dp on every wakeup by dancing through it and this was before his new dp. I mighta taken that 100$
I’m proud ArcSys managed to take notes from the AI of SNK fighting games, and create….this…⚠️😅💯
Byakuren ost for asuka? Fitting
It's a shame there was no boss ky in this one. I feel like he had the best combo game of the bosses in Strive.
Yo a man who put FF14 2nd to all the other Final Fantasy games. Legend.
Wait what, i didn't even know there was other bosses, i just fought against Nago this entire time :/ (i beat him normally without "strats")
We playing Minecraft with the Asuka matchup
This goes hard 🔥🔥
bring back unlimited boss characters in fighting games!
the chronophantasma and persona 4 boss modes are GOATed.
Diaphone lucky no one was doing hard knock down wall breaks. $100 down the drain if he wasn't this lucky
The only stage 9 i could beat wae sin kiske against ky in dragon install
this is just evil
the bridget player are really good
I’ve beaten Boss Nago with most of the cast but the only one I’d have a chance of beating on the second try is I-No. His AI can’t parse charged moves properly so he tries to interrupt her charged dives and attacks way too early.
Not sure if they changed it but I beat extreme nago when the game came out with Gio, the AI cheats yes, but its logic is really a bunch of if-than statements so it's pretty easy to cheese.
cool vid, can you link the mod in the description to give credit to the creator?
Oh good point, thanks :)
Drop the channel name for young falcon, I wanna see that video essay
It's YungFalcon lmao
If it isn't pulling up, look for YungFalcon Final Fantasy and that should do it.
5:17 wtf touhou moment
Honestly ram does need an overall, please make her interesting.
So I'm not shit at arcade mode for always struggling at the end!?
How do you get to stage 9? So far ive only gotten to stage 8 whenever i play
Don't lose a single round throughout the arcade run, including stage 8
those mfers dont compare with stage 9 faust
I want the first guy hitbox! Where can I get one of those?
Google, "Mixbox Arcade"
Diaphone is a Touhou player?
Remember when testament was a boss guys?
I thought dude on the thumbnail was andre from victorious lol
touhou gang rise up 🙏
These bosses are bad design. Way too hard for the main audience of arcade mode, which is more casual by definition.I know. I know, they have exploitable patterns, but the fact pro players get demolished by them without knowing said patterns should be proof enough they are way too hard.
If you really want crzay hard bosses like that in a fighting game, in should be in some kind of "challenge mode". Not arcade mode. GBVS has a much better balance of featured bosses that are buffed just right to feel hard, but without making a cheap exploit mandatory to beat them.
Crazy single player fighting games bosses are kind of a classic, people love them.
casual players are not even likely to fight the bosses, since you need to not lose a single round until you get to them, and beat an easier version of the boss without losing a round as well before you get to their strongest form in stage 9.
people who like to face the bosses are well aware that they're gonna be hard, and you have unlimited retries so it's fine if they're hard, you eventually learn how to overcome them
What, I've seen my casual friends beat boss nago, they thought it was fun.
they are designed to be bullshit like secret arcade bosses used to be
plus its fun tryign to figure out how to beat the busted bosses CPU's are never fun to fight unless they have soem crazy gimmick like these bosses
not to menton you cant lose a single round inlclusing the slightly easier versions of these bosses which are still pretty tough so casual players probably cant even reach stage 9
The super bosses of GG Strive are not really "secret", and that's my issue here.
To meet any of those bosses without the AI partner to make them more reasonable, you only have to beat arcade without losing a round. The games you guys are referencing usually often have way more specific conditions to meet the super boss (like have X super finishes or X perfects at least during the arcade run). Which are much harder to do by accident and can be easily avoided on purpose when you know about them.
In GG Strive, I basically have to suicide a round on purpose to avoid facing those bosses when I don't feel like it, which is completely annoying. In GBVS, or any game with a better designed arcade mode, I can just do less super finishes and avoid fighting Lucilius if I feel like it, without the whole thing feeling like a drag.
So, sorry. It's bad design. Old fighting games may have gotten a lot of things right, but it doesn't mean we have to stick to all their bad decisions either. Plus, when you think about it, the goal of those super hard bosses was to steal quarters, which makes no sense in a home console environment.
I can beat all of them :)
