In this moment I just can't decide who I want to be with Nancy. Both guys are great and she clearly knows that and it's such a hard situation for all of them. Steve was her first love and also is better man now. Jonathan was her true love and he already was a better man but now he is struggling. It's just... I will be happy with whoever she choose but also sad with whoever she will not. And I'm gonna cry really bad if anything happens anyone of them 💔
I just feel like they shouldn’t try to bring Steve into Nancy’s relationships again. If anything I started liking Steve after he broke up with Nancy. I love they make the conflict of every relationship isn't always 100% and has its ups and downs but i hope they won't actually like end them and just make her go with Steve in the end... It wouldn't make sense 💀
The Duffers might love sidelining Jonathan, but if they want to build up a great series in every aspect as I'm pretty sure they want, Jancy will be endgame. Even when Nancy was with Steve, the show was building Jancy, not Stancy. The built up and just how it is all constructed makes me hope they get their happy ending
i'm late to comment but this is yet another masterpiece from you. i really love that you edited to this song i recommended to you. this made their relationship looks perfectly tragic. you protrayed it so so well. i cannot wait for another edit of them after possibly vol 2 comes out? :)
I understand that the writers might wanted to challenge their relationship in this season so we can see how Nancy is challenging to accept Steve's change(because let's be honest the guy has shifted character). However, Jonathan had always been there for her. All three of them were students in the first 2 seasons who managed to express themselves and stop hiding behind a mask because of peer pressure. They all changed. Especially Steve. But Jonathan was the one who met Nancy in a difficult moment(Barbs death) and helped her accept her inner self and start her own journey. He was there for her, respected her by speaking truth to her about his impression of her, just like she did whe she called him freak. When Steve broke his camera was understandable but that was Jonathans way to hide, just like steve who was trying to be the alpha rich guy of a group of idiots and nancy her girlfriend and part of the popular kids. In that way, Jonathans help led nancy to help Steve in her way by breaking up with her. I understand that they are attracted to each other, but Nancy spent most of her time with Jonathan and grew with Jonathan. Jonathan had always been protective like Steve (but Steve didn't care about his people until Nancys break up when he realized that he actually cares about her /that was a big step).Jonathan had been the man of the house, a protective brother and a shy loner. In s4 was still a protective grown up but they just didn't handle it that good and he seemed weak the whole season. That gave space to stancy. I mean I get it but it is not necessary to happen. It is necessary to have a fight as normal couple but they lie to each other because the love each other and respect their future and career. In s5 they need to talk open and serious about their future in college and their motives and clear their misunderstandings.
Also most of the season Jonathan was trying find El to get home and save them. Nancy didn't know what was going on. I don't think Steve was trying to break them up but I don't like that he was trying to get points with her or something. Yes he's grown but still didn't feel right that he was saying that he envisioned her to be in his future with a family.
