They talked about it in today's livestream. They said that the couples' timeline will also be decisive for S5, including Jopper and Jancy.
If they name Jancy as 'the couple' it means Stancy will most likely not be endgame.
Also they said Jonathan and Nancy will have bigger roles in S5 and will team up as a duo again like in S1, 2 and 3
Hey, here I am! Now everyone are talking about Stancy, bc they have seen some pretty good scenes on the screen; and it seems like everyone forgets everything about Jancy. They say that Jonathan has always been the wrong guy for Nancy and she needs Steve by her side, bc he takes care of her. But I think that people should rewatch edits like this and then decide what to do. I’m sad and a little bit afraid of vol.2, but I’m also happy bc thare are people here, that now are always and forever shipping Jancy ❤️

I'm scared too for volume 2 because I Don't want anything to happen to the characters and because I Don't Want that Nancy and Jonathan to break up, but I think that when Nancy and Jonathan meet again I think they will remember all the good and bad times in the Upside investigations and they will love each other again, well Nancy and Jonathan are still in love with each other... but i hope that nancy and jonathan end up together until the end of the serie

JANCY is golden. I love them soooooo fucking much!!! Talk about chemistry bc theirs is through the roof. Their goodbye literally made me cry soooo much. I hate how people act like they don’t take care of eachother. They do that and so much more. Steve was Nancy’s original boyfriend. However, Jonathan was the person who showed up when she was scared, sad, tired, depressed the guy who always showed up and made sure she was happy. If that’s not true love then I don’t know what true love is.

jancy is so much better than stancy!!!! i don't know if it's just me but steve is kind of manipulative and pushy towards nancy but jonathan is really sweet and easy going. and u also feel steve and nancy's kisses aren't spontaneous and kind of forced in my opinion but on the other hand, jonathan and nancy's really are spontaneous and they just feel a lot more natural. i swear if the duffer brothers decide on stancy i will lose my damn mind
I just think Steve doesn't care much about what Nancy thinks or his ambitions like the way he said he wants 6 kids etc ... While Jonathan is ready to sacrifice his love & dream for his family(his mother and brother) which kinda shows how Jonathan is ...
Secondly the traumatic and bad days they spent with each other... The way they helped each other clearly shows their love
I understand that the writers might wanted to challenge their relationship in this season so we can see how Nancy is challenging to accept Steve's change(because let's be honest the guy has shifted character). However, Jonathan had always been there for her. All three of them were students in the first 2 seasons who managed to express themselves and stop hiding behind a mask because of peer pressure. They all changed. Especially Steve. But Jonathan was the one who met Nancy in a difficult moment(Barbs death) and helped her accept her inner self and start her own journey. He was there for her, respected her by speaking truth to her about his impression of her, just like she did whe she called him freak. When Steve broke his camera was understandable but that was Jonathans way to hide, just like steve who was trying to be the alpha rich guy of a group of idiots and nancy her girlfriend and part of the popular kids. In that way, Jonathans help led nancy to help Steve in her way by breaking up with her. I understand that they are attracted to each other, but Nancy spent most of her time with Jonathan and grew with Jonathan. Jonathan had always been protective like Steve (but Steve didn't care about his people until Nancys break up when he realized that he actually cares about her /that was a big step).Jonathan had been the man of the house, a protective brother and a shy loner. In s4 was still a protective grown up but they just didn't handle it that good and he seemed weak the whole season. That gave space to stancy. I mean I get it but it is not necessary to happen. It is necessary to have a fight as normal couple but they lie to each other because the love each other and respect their future and career. In s5 they need to talk open and serious about their future in college and their motives and clear their misunderstandings.

Does someone have bad feelings?
I like them together but don't think they're going to make it. Sadly enough all the couples I've liked have never lasted in TV and real life.
Let's hope for the best. The Duffers said Jonathan and Nancy will team up as a duo all along season 5, like in S1,2 or 3. So there are a lot of moments coming
