EDIT: Some of you are mad at my assumption for some reason so here's how I explain why I think it is inspired by RE save room themes (RE2, RE3 and Code Veronica) Listen to RE2 (even RE3) save room themes, specifically. It really sounds alike. Of course it's not the same, clearly not the same samples, the same EQ, because that game is from 25 years ago. Taking inspiration from or remixing doesn't mean instruments should ALL be the same with the same key and time signature, etc. Also it needs the DbD leitmotiv so... Of course there might be games with a very similar styles, it's not like piano suppported by stringes was a rare thing. It could definitely be something else but that song appeared in the files when there's another crossover of DbD with RE. Why would it be Dark Souls?! Also RE music is suuuuuuper wide, it doesn't have much of a musical print with recurring themes, if that makes sense, it just has the privilege of being a famous and long lasting series of games.

Imagine if you're just playing on Dead Dawg Saloon and randomly this starts playing on the piano there with no context because the survivors completed generators in a specific order accidentally.
This feels very likely to be an RE Theme. Carlos and Sheva Lobby Music? AOT and the one skin line with Baba Yaga had their own Survivor themes. It could even be they plan on giving more than just skins Lobby Music. This could be a theme for all RE Survivors on live release.
Tbf, Survivors needed themes way before. Laurie should get the same Halloween intro music when you select her, Ash should have had his trailer music extended to a full song and stuff like that. I don't think all Survivors should have thier associated killer's theme. It would work for Cheryl, the RE gang, Steve and Nancy for example but it would not fit for David.

resident evil only lobby music that makes alot of sense and it would be actually cool. licensed survivors get their lobby music and og dbd get the og theme or maybe a softer version of the killers lobby theme.

Once Upon A Time, The Evil Queen as the killer and Snow White as the Survivor. The Map is Enchanted Forest with little easter eggs like Pogo the dalmation, the blue fairy and Jiminy Cricket along side Emma's yellow jeep.
If I had to guess, in the OG RE map in this game, there was a specific room on the right side of the map that would play soft and calm music. What’s most likely is there will be an area somewhere on one of the RPD maps that will play this music, that’s just my speculation though either way love the song.
The RPD maps have two areas that already play a save theme. The bottom floor office on the left side, and the top floor office on the right (with the taxidermy)
i imagine this will function as menu music for the resident evil survivors, like the attack on titan skins and those modern fairy tales skins they did back in februrary
